I only played through it once, but I thought it was great. Jolee Bindo, especially.

I love a good rant when smarter people than me are doing it. I don't know whether you've ever heard of Shamus Young? Sorry to bring up bad memories! If it makes you feel better, I share your pain; the Mass Effect series had more promise than what it ended up as.

Not really. I wasn't very academic when I was a kid, so I just never learned. I think my liked being able to converse privately when I was around, too. Do you know any other languages?

Kotor, how I love thee. <3 Sorry...just a really big kotor fan.

I do enjoy listening to a good rant now and then. I do know about the ME3 ending debacle. I'm still miffed about it to this day. *grumble* crappy endings *grumble*... better not to relive the pain...

Pretty neat that your mom is Russian. You never picked up the language?

Same here. No matter what they do now, there's still KotoR and BG2. :3

Haha...you do not want to me hear start ranting. I hung around on a fan forum where I was the only one who disliked ME2, for problems with the filler-plot etc, and then ME3 came around...and I don't think I need to say anything more about that. Assuming you've heard about the ending debacle?

Unfortunately, I don't speak any language other than English, despite my mother being Russian. And I do like tactical RPGs...so I'll look out for it, thanks!

One can only hope. I used to really like Bioware. I guess I still do to an extent.

It's not that I've written it off, I'm not a huge fan of shooters. Oh you can't just stop with that! There's a story behind that Mass Effect comment. Grinding is kind of a staple with JRPGs. I think it has gotten better over the years, but kind of still there.

A real classic would be Chrono Trigger. That's going back a few years however. I think a lot of the recent ones are kind of lacking (Unless you read or speak Japanese. A lot of them don't get properly ported anymore.) Valkyria Chronicles was a lot of fun. That was more Tactical RPG however.

Hopefully Bioware will learn their lesson this time.

Ha, a lot of people write it off before playing it, but I have a soft-spot for the Halo series. :3 Oh, Mass Effect I have a rough history with. Let's just say i thought the first game was good. Yeah, I know. D: It's just that JRPGs have this reputation for egregious grinding, too, so I haven't had the enthusiasm to find the better ones...

    Maybe you could recommend some?

Yep, Star Wars Galaxies... Oh the memories...

Can you believe I've never played Halo either? I mean, of course I've heard of it, but never played it. I also heard great things about Dragon Age. I preferred Mass Effect though. :3 Blue Dragon was your first JRPG?! You've missed out on some classics then.

A lot of people were. I'm a fan of Star Wars, too, but I do hear they took down another, more unique Star Wars MMO for it too. /sadface

I actually begun with Halo a few years ago, which is most definitely not an RPG. I think my first was Dragon Age: Origins, which is still great. :3 While my first JRPG was Blue Dragon, which I sucked at. Pokemon is the exception.

    Androgyny is my favorite knee!

It was okay, I was hoping for it to be better... *sigh*

Oh I love RPGs, I'm more into the JRPGs myself however. I guess that's just what I grew up on and still love the craziness and androgynous characters. lol

Yeah, I can see that. Though I heard that The Old Republic wasn't that great anyway.

Me? Well, my workhours and my friends' work hours leave me with chunks of free time during the week, so I can usually play my precious WRPGs. I'm pretty much a sucker for any kind of roleplaying game.

Uhm, well not really. I haven't had a ton of time for gaming lately. I did play Star Wars the Old Republic for a while, but then I just kind of lost interest. I'm kind of more into portable gaming and phone stuff now. It's easier to fit in schedule wise, you know?

    What about you?

Ha; Morrowind is one of the ones I haven't played, actually. " I want to, but my laptop is terrible and I'm not playing Morrowind without mods. Are you much of a PC Gamer?

I've only really played Morrowind. So I'm not overly familiar with a great deal of lore. I did enjoy Morrowind a lot however. :D

Ha...I am a fan of the lore in the Elder Scrolls. Michael Kirkbridge, the man who wrote most of it, as a very interesting mind.

I think a mod got banned recently? Saw it somewhere in the suggestion subforum.

Never watched anything but a few sparse clips, though Picard seems like a pretty neat character. I've uhh...not read the LotR books either, but I'm a fan of Tolkien regardless. :3
