hahahahah, oh god. I would of laughed so much at your misfortune if I was there xD
I remember this year's Otakuthon was so funny. A guy was dressed up as a Gundam Wing, and the only thing he put was a box over his head with eye sockets and a big box to cover his body and just wrote Gundam on it x)
True... well, at least I didn't pay for the cover. Cosplays are treated as VIP... even though the guy in the entrance had no idea of what I was.
He charged me the fee, then squinted at me and was like... "are you dressed up as something, girl?"
Nooooo, I simply wore this 5 pound dress because I felt like it! But of course, I didn't answer that...
"Yes... I'm an Azumarill Gijinka?"
And thus, I was let in for free.
What bothered me was that everyone though I was a Marill and not an Azumarill. By God! I know it's the same tail, but please look at the ears! THE EARS!
I'm sure that if it weren't for the tail, they wouldn't have known whatever in the world I was lol
It's really not a big deal. Conventions here aren't that good.
Oh, but this friend of mine was dressed up as K from The King of Fighters and his girlfriend was Kula and... oh, God... they were awesome!
I know it sounded so weird, but I just had to say it "Your girlfriend is so beautiful!"
It's just that Kula is my fave and I always choose her when I play.
There is this thing called the "Cosplay Contest" I didn't participate because I knew I was going to lose and for me it's win or nothing And they did this awesome presentation. He had a lot of production and actually made fire burst from his hand like K!
There was a huge cientifical explanation behind it... I couldn't understand it, though... but they were super cool!
What bothered me is that this lousy Jirachi cosplay won 2nd place (I mean, she wasn't even good, she only had a star shaped hat on her head and a Jirachi doll!)
I should have participated... but nah!
So, I went to the convention and there were like... a LOT of pokemon Gijinka cosplayers, but being as humble as I can... mine was better
All Eeveelutions were there, but their costumes looked as though they'd been finished in 1 day (mine took two whole weeks)
This Shinx... Luxio... Luxray? I think it was a Luxray girl was so cool. I loved here.
There was a Hilda cosplay too... she didn't look anything like Hilda aside from the clothes, but...
Anyways, I got like 1000 people taking photos with me. I felt like a Disney attraction or something.
It was so fun :D
Mine IS custom made.
Everything in it, I made... with some help. All I actually bought was the wig.
The problem is it's bulky and heavy, so it makes me look kind of chubby which is... good I think. I'm very thin, so it helps hide that fact.
