October 31st, 2013 8:25 AMEsperWait, no. I was reading it wrong. I get it.
-
October 31st, 2013 8:24 AMEsperI don't understand the rules of this game.

October 30th, 2013 12:42 PMCrux'It' is coming.
How Long Will You Last? -
October 28th, 2013 11:11 AMEsperAll the people I admire have routines to get stuff done. Maybe that's why I admire them since I'm so inconsistent and lazy.

October 27th, 2013 3:35 PMCruxDude, forcing yourself to do something daily is a great way to get better at it, but there's a good reason artists are so temperamental.
Yeah, but not really seriously. -
October 27th, 2013 10:29 AMEsperNovel writing month is really more about persistence and dedication and stamina and whatever other synonym for those words you can come up with. And time. Gotta set aside time each day. Ideally I'd be doing this anyway since that's how you, you know, actually get creative stuff done.
Do you write? -
October 26th, 2013 6:19 PMCruxOh, geez. . . Fine. . .
Spoiler:

I actually had to google that, hehheh.
Dude, if you entered that I would definitely try my best to support you. Seriously. -
October 26th, 2013 6:04 PMEsperI'm writing this right now, if you can believe it.
Sometimes I do. It's almost November again so I'm gonna try for another NaNoWriMo. Didn't quite make it the last two years, but maybe 3rd time's the charm. -
October 26th, 2013 6:02 PMCruxNah, it's not really snobby, per say.
The whole image of a third world country has very little romance for a lot of people. Particularly in the case of sanitation.
By the by, do you write, perhaps? -
October 23rd, 2013 8:15 AMEsperI don't make plans that far into the future. I might go back to Japan someday. Who knows. I like it there more than most places I've been. Personally, I'd rather go places I didn't have to worry about things like clean water, fresh food, etc. It's a little snobbish of me, but I just don't feel like visiting many poorer parts of the world.

October 22nd, 2013 12:43 PMCruxHm, I've heard about a couple of different cases like that. It's actually really cool!
I know right?! And what better way to see the world?
So, how about you? Have any plans for a brave trek into the world? -
October 13th, 2013 8:40 AMEsperThat's an ambitious goal. I remember reading about an Indian man who went on a walking trip across the world who only relied on help from strangers. Even in Pakistan, India's biggest rival, he found lots of friendly people. I wish I could remember more of the details. But that does sound like the journey of a lifetime.

October 12th, 2013 10:27 PMCruxWell, I like both snow and onsen. And as I already said, I like the topography around there. Thanks for bearing with me, despite the questions.
I guess I'm both surprised and not, about locals feeling that way about the Kuril islands, but regardless of what a government does, that doesn't mean you should blame the country's citizens.
Well, I've been traveling all my life essentially. I've been to each contiguous state in the U.S, and almost went to Mexico once. If I could I'd move to China, but I really don't like the government/political state there.
Other then that, I'm trying to get to a point in my life where I can go backpacking in a couple different oversea countries. Germany, Russia, Costa Rica, Japan, China, Norway, and Italy, to name a few. I'd need to be able to be away from everything for one to two years, though, and that's a bit hard to manage. I'll also need to pick up a few other tricks to finance myself. -
October 12th, 2013 8:38 PMEsperHokkaido is much more of an outdoors kind of place to be, and not in the sunny beaches sense. Plus they don't have some of the more historical stuff around so any of that kind of tourist who would even think of going to Japan probably would go to Kyoto or Tokyo or somewhere else. You have to either like snow, or hot springs, or just have more info at your disposal to even consider Hokkaido in the first place.
Not everyone, but in towns that rely on fishing there's competition with Russians since some of the islands nearby are disputed. I don't really know the details, but every now and then you'll see some person or some sign advocating the return of the Kuril Islands which Russia has had since WWII.
So anyway, do you have plans to travel in the future? -
October 12th, 2013 5:49 PMCruxOh, thank god!
Wait, why do they hate Russians?
