November 27th, 2012 5:09 AMSquirrelHi! Unfortunately the Ice type club has already been reserved for creation by Avishka so you won't actually be able to create that one, but you could always create a different club if you want to? :D There's not really much to know about club owning other than remembering to update the members list when people join, remembering to welcome members when they join, and remembering to post topics when the discussion's dying down - that's really all there is to it. You can also spice things up with a competition or two or by adding some unique features to your club, but just make sure everyone's happy and you'll be a great owner. c:

November 26th, 2012 9:21 PMCourageHoundHey Alex! Looking over the PokemonClubs section I came across the ice type club and realized it was closed. As such I was thinking about remaking it. I skimmed over the PokeClubs Master Thread(cant read it right now cuz its late), but is there anything else I need to know that is crucial for owning a club? Cuz i know its a big respectability. I'm asking the exact same question to Olli btw.

October 21st, 2012 4:42 PMCourageHoundHaha I see you're well versed on the hydrogen fuel subject. And your right, with dolphins having intelligence, acording to what i've read, rivaling ours it would be very interesting to see what they have to say about us. And really, I think that future might not be too sci-fi as it sounds with all this new technology people seem to be pulling out of a hat. Or at least, thats how I see it as I rarely keep up to date with things.
*rambling*
Well...anyway to my own discontent, I havnt actually secured a concrete decision on what proffesion within my chosen feilds I would like to assume. For a long time I had my mind set on a vet, but i'm not to sure. Maybe working in an animal reffuge I can get a little bit of everything. My fault is, whith the constant priority of school I usually have little time to think about much else. -
October 21st, 2012 2:53 PMSquirrelHydrogen is readily becoming a viable substitute for fossil fuels and currently a lot of cars and facilities are being built to run on Hydrogen, but the problem is that to get the Hydrogen gas into the correct state for use as an energy source (usually needs to be a heavily compressed and refined liquid), it takes a lot of energy to do so. So basically they're using tonnes of fossil fuels to make cleaner energy; it's a vicious cycle! D: The dolphins thing sounds cool though, I'd love to be able to talk to animals and find out how they feel about the human race and what we're doing to their habitats. Plus come on, how cool would it be to tell people you had a conversation with them? xD
So Zoology and Animal Biology... I suppose that pins you as a vet? Zoologist? Breeder? Animal husbander? :) -
October 20th, 2012 2:33 PMCourageHoundYou've seen Dr. Sues's the Lorax right? Its either we learn to co-exist with the environment peacfully or we dont and suffer for it.
P.S.: i actually plan to major in zoology and animal biology but i guess they are similar enough -
October 20th, 2012 2:23 PMCourageHoundHaha, well i wouldnt say it would nesecerily come to that. But if people dont learn how to go green and save the environment then not only the animals and numerous ecosystems will suffer but also will humans due to us needed the resources nature gives us. More water polution= No water. Habitat destruction= ecosystem colapse = evrything that we used as a resource in terms of food or material will be lost. I beleive that with all the new technology and scientists and environmentalists out there fighting to improve our relationship with nature we have a chance to set things right. But then came global warming...yea I read that scientists are looking into using hydrogen instead of burning fossil fuel for energy, which would cut the carbon dioxide output tremendously. Enough of that, I also read that scientists found out that dolphins communicate to eachother in a way similar to humans. If thats true imagine what could happen if we could decipher their language and communicate with them. That would be awesome.

October 20th, 2012 2:11 PMSquirrelOh wow, normally when people are asked questions like that they'll just give generic answers, but your explanation is very interesting indeed :D Bears is certainly an interesting choice though; I'd never thought of them as being very unique animals before haha. So you're pretty big on ecology then with how animals interact and such? I'm an inspiring ecologist myself so I think we'll have a lot to talk about! So what do you think about the concept of "co-existing with nature peacefully"? Do you think it'd ever be possible to live together equally, or do you think we'd revert back to a primitive state in a dog-eat-dog kind of world?

October 19th, 2012 12:30 PMCourageHoundHi! Well for starters I've been working(volunteering rather) at my local animal shelter for the past 2 years now and its been alot of fun. I've learned alot about many types of animals and i'm still learning :). Before all of that however, i was always curious and even inspired by the many distinctive qualities, adaptations, and features of animals and the places they live. Like how as if animals were engineered into nature and how they all depend on one another for survival. My favorite animals are bears for how handsome, strong, intelligent and ultimately resourceful they are(not to mention I like bulky things). I also through the years learned what it means to respect animals, their space, and their homes as that's how it must be if we were to co-exist with nature peacefully. Well anyway, as for squirrles i think they are very cute and interresting animals. It always makes me laugh when i think about how fast they move how much brain power it must take to register everything at once like that xD. But most of all i admire their climbing prowness and how they go 'spiderman' up trees and poles, like amazing.

October 19th, 2012 6:49 AMSquirrelHi, you like animals! Does that mean you like squirrels? :D Tell me all about your love for animals please; I love them too! ♥
