Ehh...self-mill might be going a bit overboard. It's still a continuous spell card like any other, and can be blown off the field with a plethora of effects. It's also contradictory to the legend the card is representing (the Horai Elixir cures all illnesses, grants eternal life, and even has the power to revive the dead, though the last use is excluded from the card for obvious reasons; milling yourself seems more like shortening your lifespan than lengthening it) not to mention that if we want to talk crazy setup potential, Lightsworn is drooling at that notion. Free Wulf/Necro Gardna/Plaguespreader/Lumina target dump? Free raising of the Lightsworn count to set up Judgment Dragon and assurance that you'll have the LP you need to use its effect? Umm...yeah. Crumbling Tower wouldn't particularly appreciate having such a card in their lineup anyway, as drawing into any specific card is precisely the weakpoint of that archetype. I know; it took me ten freaking turns of stall to dig into the Lightning Vortex I needed to seal my game. :x

No special summons? OMG, should've thought of that one. XD

Maybe add a self-mill thing like Lightsworn, so that you can't play a Crumbling Tower deck runnin' three of these things and then just wait out your opponent?

Hurr...I shee's and I do think it was missing a little something for the balance. I was thinking negate all other spell and trap cards you have (because that way, stuff like secret village is also out), but a monster limiter actually sounds neater. Maybe...no special summons? That would slow the beatdown side quite a bit and prevent any synchro madness or the like from ensuing.

    Hurr...off to rebalance am I.

Hmm... the spell negation thing is a pretty heavy cost, but I almost think you should require something else as payment, like a limit on the number of cards you can hold in your hand. See, the big deal with the card is that while decks that are dominant right now and have no trouble plunking tons of destruction effects on the table won't have much of a problem with it, but anything else will have serious problems- essentially, you're kicking decks while they're down. Besides that, I can see this thing being seriously abusable in combination with Secret Village of the Spellcasters. Think about it- summon Skilled Dark Magician, play Secret Village, activate the medicine. You've just sealed your opponent's spells and now you've got infinite LP.

Personally, I think you should limit the number of monsters you can have on the field at any given time. That'd do it.

Well obviously. You should have used the perfect combustion of a man's soul and you forgot to go 'what the hell'. *smacks* You've got to do it with heart, boy! HEART! >O

Also, is my little LP gain card in YMtC horribly, horribly wrong? I've always thought that the perfect deck to represent a megalomanic villain would be one centered around eternal life, so I may want to bring that little number out to play sometime. <3

You- you're right! Kamina and I must settle this like men! MY DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE THROUGH THE HEAVENS! *charges off*

*trudges back, roughed up* They... got me... *wheeze*

I think they need a wake-up call at the very least. When you're just barely scraping in to begin with, you should at least have the courtesy to be active. >|

Though last I checked, Chelsea has just flat out vanished from the forums so she may well have external reasons. *shrug* Oh well, a reminder in that direction won't hurt. It's kind of silly how the only two who came in with a warning of potential low activity have been the most active.

And that's unmanly of you, Thesi. A REAL man would stand and fight Kamina man-to-man. In MANLY fashion. >O

Of course! Just who the hell do you think I-

Excuse me, I think Kamina's comin' for me. Gotta run! *grabs Lagann and flees from Kamina*

By the way... speaking of CARD GAMES, I was thinking of smackin' three particular RPers in Kaiser Cup. You know, the two who just barely made it in and Chelsea. Who haven't shown up yet. Should I, or is that uncalled for?

Ah, then six must have been the one where my computer effed up in the middle and killed my streak. I distinctly recall a hot spring from that one, which fits the descrip.

And I knew Kamina was a pedo! I KNEW IT! Ish him and the little undergrounder kids, amirite? Course I'm right. I'm always right. Though seriously, with Yoko around not an episode goes by without at least some fanservice. XD

    And soon ish no faaaair...not now when I finally get to play Haruko as her mental, sugary sweet, card playing, kind-of-a-shadow-duelist-but-still-not self. You're doing this on purpose, you cruel, cold-hearted person you. ;3;

Quite soon, my dear AE, quite soon. XD

KAMINA COMES OUT OF THE CLOSET IN EPISODE SIX. XD

No, not really. In fact... quite the opposite. 0.o

But yeah, glad you're enjoying the series. As for the episode you just watched... episode five. I know this because episode six is the token fanservice episode. XD

Well, I've watched Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann for a few episodes (last I watched was the cult of the humongous mecha thing, I think it was eppy six or seven) and it's been great fun thus far. Much <3 for the luffable person who uploaded episodes one through twenty-seven as fansubbed originals.

Oh, and now that you know that I'm watching?

DON'T YOU DARE SPOIL OR I'LL WHO-THE-HELL-DO-YOU-THINK-I-AM KICK YOUR BUTT TO THE NEXT CENTURY!

    That is all. :3

Now go and post in CARD GAMES. I command you. Thy input has been sorely missed. D:

Let me put it this way: first combination of giant robots involves one character grabbing a small robot with a drill coming out of its bottom and smashing it into the top of his big robot. No, I'm not kidding, it actually works that way. XD

Yeah, the dubbers really couldn't touch the reactions of everyone after drinking the tea, and even ten-year-old me was old enough to conclude "tea+Ryoko=crazy behavior.... therefore tea=alcohol". I wouldn't touch the tea served at Chinese restaraunts for a long time, let me tell you.

Haha, dub and the real thing are two quite distinct entities as far as I can tell. (watching subbed original, obviously <3) In original it's all sake, innuendos, inappropriate behavior, and royal inbreeding, yes indeedy. XD But...tea? Ogawd, that must be some very funny tea to account for that one time when Royko and Ayeka get really smashed and start taking the piss out of each other. (Haha, weepy Ryoko and biatch Ayeka; I think that's the only time the latter ever wins an argument between the two XD)

And yeah, I've heard it's something of an insanity-style anime, so...should be interesting, at the very least. :3

Give it a try- it's definitely worth it. Just don't take it too seriously, because if you do it sort of kills the series (read: expect this to be the polar opposite of Evangelion).

Wait, Tenchi Muyo? *wikis* Oh, that's what that was called! I remember the good old days when it was broadcast on cartoon network, and the dubbers were forced to censor "sake" by referring to it as "tea". *sighs* Good times, good times. I can't think of anything more amusing in my ten year old life than watching an episode of that and thinking for a whole year that Japanese tea must be an alcoholic beverage.

I was much more gullible back then. 0.o
