Yeah, Einstein was famous for not being an atheist. haha. I know his theories better than I know his life, I admit. Brilliant, brilliant man. He alone quite literally rewrote the laws of physics. We're still taught Newtonian physics (or, "classical physics", as its known), but it isn't 100% true anymore, not after Relativity.

Edit: And just looking though your conversation with "poopnoodle," Einstein was Jewish, but not by conventional means. As far as I can recall, Einstein did not believe in any sort of personal God, nor did he believe in the existence of a human "soul." One could argue that Einstein was a deist (or even a pantheist, for that matter), though his official religion was Judaism.
Annnd...I live up in MA (northeastern United States), and people here tend to be a lot less religious than other parts of the country from what I've heard.
