    Oooh?? Good! Sometimes all it takes is clearing up misunderstandings! People here are generally pretty nice, but I've also learned from previous experiences not to go into a thread with guns blazing, or ppl jump you. LOL ;;;;

I'll tell you what I think for sure!

& UPLOAD yeah, that's what I meant. I just used the wrong word. IF you have time, and you want to share them I wouldn't mind that, but if it's a hassle then no worries!

It's helped ME be more tolerant too. I've actually befriended some people here I thought I disliked. Not all, but some. Not for a lack of trying for any though.

Haha, okay. I wasn't sure or not. Be sure and send your thoughts! Sure am curious!

I don't know which would be less expensive but I doubt how could find them anymore but on eBay.

Not burn, upload. Burning would just copy it to another disc. Kinda fruitless, ha.

Welll true, sometimes you just don't like people, but there's very people I dislike. You have to be a real ass in some way for me to judge you too harshly. You'd have to abuse your kids, or small animals, yell at people for no reason, or tell ppl to kill themselves or somethin' awful like that before I'd dislike you so easily. Lolll

I know the internet for sure likes to jump on people and bully them easily, it's a shame really.
PC is really no different from that in some ways, unfortunately, but also a lot of the people have been here for many years and just don't take topics as seriously anymore. If anything, a lot of the things on that seem offensive and could set you off, might possibly just be jokes from the sense of humor that tends to linger around here. xox

I HAVEN'T SEEN THE AMVS YET, I'm off work tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll check out at least a couple in the morning.

And thanks for the links! If I decide to repurchase the series I'm definitely using Ebay...

and I know you said you burn the extra content for me, but that seems like a lotta work! x_x

That's exactly what I think too.

Of course sometimes there are just people you don't like, but I find it stems a lot deeper than merely disagreeing on anything, even if it is a passionate subject or not.

Sadly, that is not the mentality of the internet. If you disagree or even HINT at not going 100%, then you are basically public enemy #1. And I wish that would change.
If you've read my topics, you'd find I'm not even aggressive in them, merely just offering a different opinion and inviting discussion for others to add to it. So, it's upsetting, yeah. :/

It's fine, no worries! So you did see my AMVs or not yet? Did I link you to my channel or not? Either way, let me know whenever you're up for more and I can definitely help you out, haha!

I've actually had a friend of mine rewatch it pretty recently, so I know there's a streaming site to the Japanese version somewhere. I'll have to find again, and like I said, if you want to see the extras, I can burn them for you!

And for wanting it, yeah that set is pricey, but I'm like 99% sure they are the exact same discs as the cheaper single versions, meaning all the content is the same, just the box is different.

So... that might be better for you right now.
    Check these:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Scryed-Evacuation-Vol-5-DVD-Animated-Color-Dolby-Ntsc-Subtitled-VG/273276459169?epid=6477977&hash=item3fa08bd8a1:g:KCoAAOSw0W5aKhN3

The individual volumes like this, I think these are what you should go after if you really want them. Most don't go much over 10. And at 6 total, you'll never find the boxset at just 60; closer to 90.

There are other boxsets on Ebay... but I'm not sure about them. I'm not sure who releases them, but they don't look the same to me.

    Anyway, later for now!

Aaaaah, well I've seen no real reason to dislike you. I think you can hold different viewpoints and still understand or be friends with someone if you have other things in common. :> I MEAN, I understand that sometimes people are easily offended by posts in a topic, but we're all ppl outside of that thread or those opinions too. I honestly just already liked you after talking about Scryed before I saw some of the debate posts. Lol I'm bad and wasn't around for a couple of months until recently! BUT I enjoy talking to you too!

    I'm sorry I'm terrible at answering VMs sometimes, though. I get caught up in forum threads, and then my VMs sit there... D: ;;;;;;

AS FOR SCRYED, I do need a refresher! The AMVs are cool, but I'm also going MAN I FORGOT A LOT OF THIS STUFF HAPPEND.

That is the DVD set that I had, though! It's.. my ex that has it, and I haven't said a word to him in two years, HAhaha... Do I wanna buy it again...

I could watch it online, though... it just wouldn't have the extra content.

Hey, thanks for being such a cool person. I've enjoyed chatting with you on amvs and s-cry-ed but I'm thanking you for the fact that despite a lot of my adamant debates that have put a lot of people of to me, AND given the fact they are mostly in direct parallel to what you and everyone else in your life might think, despite that, you're still a friendly person to me and even continue to chat.

That really means a lot. I wish more people could be like you. You can disagree but still be friendly towards someone. That's something I believe very much.

It has to be, otherwise the word has zero meaning at all.

In the manga, it was just the evolution word for Alters. (Don't know how they came up with that out of the blue though).

Let me see if I can find a picture of the boxset I have and I know should have them.
I'm almost certain the discs inside are just the same single shot ones also sold, just all together in the box. No changes were made to the actual content:
    https://www.ebay.com/p/s-CRY-ed-Complete-Collection-DVD-2006-6-Disc-Set-Anime-Legends/54961289?iid=253683261042&chn=ps

Yep, this is the one I have.

Eh, I find people are less likely to click when you just go "HERE'S MY CHANNEL, LOOK AT IT!" among a group, and I'm more likely to not only share, but find like-minded fans who will genuinely enjoy my work when I meet them wherever one on one.

Yeah, the one I sent you is attached to my channel, but I can link you to the rest, if you want.

Ha, it sounds like you need a S-CRY-ed refresher then. :P

    LOL it's okay

Yeah, Scrying is an act usually related to using stones to foretell things, from what I understand. I think the title is just making it s-cry-ed to make it look cool? Lol
To me it seems that Scryed could symbolize all of their alter powers? They're both related to energy and magic, I guess? SO MANY WHAT IFS. You could be right about the Kanami thing. Scrying itself is interesting to me, but I only know about it because of s-cry-ed admittedly. I looked it up because of it's title, hahah.

AND TRUE, Lawless got shorted definitely, but for the most part I do like both the manga and the anime, despite the differences. Makes it refreshing to see the same main cast in what's an almost a completely different story.

    I LOOKED FOR THE BOXSET, and I think one of my friends still has it from a while ago, but I can't find it with my other sets, and I know it would be there unless they were still hanging on to it. Boo... I'm not surprised it's not on YT though, that anime is old by now, so it's rare to even see fans of it anymore. WHICH IS A SHAME. ;//;

Why don't you start with sharing your YT channel? You don't have to go through the hassle of uploading all those extras. That probably takes some doing.. That AMV you showed me, is it your channgel?? If so, I'll check it out. o: I'm loading up the AMV at the moment. You can share more if you'd like.

As far as Midorikawa goes, I didn't even remember him playing Ryuuhou, I know him from some other series, even some newer ones - I love that he's still active, because he's done for so long. Some seiyuu stop after ten years or so, but he's going strong! I like him a lot.

Haha, sorry, when you talk with me, you gotta expect longer than usual messages.

Wow, that is truly surprising. To me, the only thing that could possibly point to the manga being first was simply that the word "S-CRY-ed" actually means something in it.

I do believe I read somewhere though that for the anime, the word is reference to Kanami's Alter power, of "Scrying"

"(verb (used without object), scried, scry·ing. -to use divination to discover hidden knowledge or future events, especially by means of a crystal ball."

But it still doesn't explain the weird spelling.

The fact that characters like Kyoji Mujo inexplicably appear in the background during one shot, without knowing the anime (and just thinking it's a cameo) are kinda funny. Even more so when you realize the anime decided "Hey, let's take that one guy here and make him the head villain", and yet the design still works for the character they used him as.

That's why I was so confused, but apparently you're right. Pretty shocking though. Even more shocking that Lawless characters like Akira or Hannish didn't get used (or even the other HOLY members) for the anime, and instead they picked essentially one-shot characters for the anime to use instead.

Yep! Him! He's a super famous voice actor, but Ryuho was my introduction to him, and it's easily my favorite role of his. And when paired against his polar opposite (ironic, due to Ryuho and Kazuma's similar dynamic) in Sochiro Hoshi, you get an explosive combination of protagonists.

I haven't seen them interact, but on the DVDs we have that animated manga that is acted and even voice dramas, including a number of more characters. But of course, the two leads play off each other really well, even when just going off a script as the characters.

Speaking of which, I'm truly baffled to all hell those manga extras are nowhere to be found on Youtube. Grr, and now I'm even more determined to share them!
Maybe even the voice dramas too.

I can upload them from my DVDs for you, if you want. They are worth seeing. Are you sure you don't have the DVD set I'm talking about? If it's any official one, you should have them. Can you check?

And haha, well, you've come to the right place is you like AMVs. I have even more S-CRY-ed ones to share, if you want, and lots more.
I don't know what else you like, but I can just like you to my channel if you're interested. I put a lot of work into my stuff and make it as a fan, for fans. And they always tell a story, so if you don't know them, they might be confusing.
But, if you are the same level of fan, I've been told they're pretty addicting.

But let's do one at a time for now, and let me know if you have or haven't seen the DVD extras and I can send those too!

Aww, hahah, I am! I was just takin some time before answering because the VM was longer. lol

Yeahhh, the manga came first! My friends and me read the manga before the anime came out. Because I remember when the anime was announced to come out. That's why it's story is better. They took bits of the manga and built it up so it made a bit more sense!

As in Hikaru Midorikawa?? I don't remember the voice cast for Scryed, but I know those two are pretty different, if you're talking about who I think you are! I love seeing seiyuu interact outside of their characters, because often the seiyuu are like.. best buds when their characters hate each other. LOL

AS FOR AMVS, you can show me as many as you like, I'm always up for them

That link you sent, I'll watch it as soon as I can focus on it! I'm rushin around atm, but I need more AMVs in my life, so I'll watch it soon
    I used to make AMVs, though they were terrible, and if I ever try again, I'm using better programs ;;;;

Are you sure that the manga came first? When I read it, a lot of anime-only characters get 'cameos', despite not really have huge roles. A few HOLY officers and even Kimishima (and the Dars too, from the anime have one panel).

Either that's very poor writing to set up characters with literally a page worth of story or it's fan service. To me, it sounds more like the latter, and I know I've heard the anime came first. I'll have to look it up.

You really should watch those; they were amazing. Even though Kazuma and Ryuho are very different characters in the manga, both Hoshi and Midorikawa still beautifully bring them to life.
I couldn't read it anymore without hearing both of their voices.

Let me try to find them online for you if you haven't seen them. Sadly though, the DVDs only have a handful. Given the fact they put for all that effort (even casting for new characters), I can't imagine they just picked 5 chapters in Japan. It was probably complete, just the DVDs only included a couple.

As for AMVs, yeah, a couple by me:
This one is like my magnum opus AMV; easily my favorite I ever did. This is the culmination of all my love of S-CRY-ed and why I like editing it.

Just like the series itself, it's heavily Kazuma AND Ryuho based, and how they are opposite sides of the same coin.
Set towards the end, both of them get their moments and then the story finishes and continues.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LM7jP7UPoO0

I've also done a purely Kazuma one, Ryuho one and way more than is ever necessary. But if you have to watch one; this one.

Yeah, it was your theme that made me message you!

I don't dabble in Scryed a whole lot anymore, but it's still something I remember fondly, because it was one of my favs!

The manga did come first, but it was refreshing that the anime gave the story a bit of a twist. There were some characters that I appreciated more in the anime than in the manga, even though I will admit the manga art is badass! But my boxset is different, it's nothing fancy so I don't think it has extras with it. Though, now that you say that.. I want to double check, because maybe I just didn't watch them when I got it?! I'd remember that if I did. But I usually love watching extras, so I can't imagine ignoring them if they were there..

I acknowledge that TokyoPop's translations were poor, buuut with a lot of manga it's all I had. I've never read any of the original Japanese manga dialogue.

As for AMVs, I do find really good ones occasionally, but I don't hunt a lot. Does Scryed still have some good ones?

Do you have that giant almost triangle sized boxset too?

Haha, it was one of the first ones I bought, and even though it was anywhere from 30-50, I ripped myself off and bought one for 80. Derp, but I was stupid financially then. But I still have and use it.

It's not the tone of the story of anime vs manga, but more-so the Tokyopop translations I have an issue with. They're very bad.

If you have the same boxset, surely you've seen the DVD extras of the anime voice actors doing chapters from the manga? Those are some of my favorites, and it's there, you can see what the original scripts were for the manga, which are good.
The Tokyopop pages are nonsense though.

Do you know if the anime or manga came first, by chance? I actually thought the anime did, but it's hard to tell.
Script changes aside, I do prefer the anime's story by far to the manga's. It's a lot more rich and complicated. The manga, while fun at times, is still rife with a lot of plotholes and generic anime tropes.

Do you like AMVs, by the way? If you like S-CRY-ed, well, I gotta ask if you want to see them. I could literally make S-CRY-ed AMVs until the end of time; it's a series I just never get tired of editing with, haha.

Was it my sig or avatar that prompted you to message me? This is why I like having favorite things to represent me. I met another of my friends through talking about Shakugan no Shana.

Yesss. I actually loved the manga when I was younger, before the anime came out. Which.. with some of the manga content, it made me laugh that in comparison the anime was very bright and rainbowy... Lol BUT I loved both versions, and Kazuma is also one of my favorite characters! Also Cougar was cool!

That's one of the few series that I actually bothered buying the box set for. Good stuff!
