Ah, that's good to hear. I haven't watched the latest episode yet. It's still on my DVR waiting for me. So far I've been really enjoying the show even more since it came back from break.

I think the most recent episode was the start of something more with her.

One of the best scenes they ever did. Melanie's character is one of my favorites, and I'd wish they'd give her more attention in the show. She doesn't have much of her own plotline like the other girls.

Indeed. Melanie's hair-yank was a thing of beauty.

    I totally saw this coming!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I guess the proper saying for this would be, "Welcome back to being an S-mod!"

I think the problem with Season 3, while the overall plot of it was great, the season itself felt choppy, inconsistent, predictable, and then there was a long space where it felt very repetitive in that the same thing was happening over and over again (Kill Klaus) when Klaus himself barely seemed like a threat anymore.

Yes! I hope to hear what you think of Revenge when you begin watching it after when you're done.

I think my feelings on TVD changed in the way I watched the show. Season 2, for example, I binged in the space of about a week and I really enjoyed it, for the most part. Season 3, I watched in bits and pieces: sometimes really soon after the episodes aired in the US; sometimes after a month or so. Whether this was because of its quality or because of my viewing habits, I can't say for sure. It did leave me thinking the experience on the whole was lesser than that of season 2, but I can't really say why.

I plan to watch Revenge eventually. That also got much better feedback as it went along from some people, so I'll definitely watch it at some point.

Speaking of TVD, what did you think of the third season? I really wasn't a fan of it. Season 2, and even Season 1 seemed superior.

Hey, hey, hey. Some of those ABC Family / CW shows are actually quite good shows. Now, I'm not saying they are high up in the quality a la Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, etc. but they are very entertaining to watch. The Secret Circle in my opinion was already beginning to surpass TVD this season near the latter half of the season. Pretty Little Liars and Teen Wolf are just pure addictive television but with great storytelling and characters.

As for Revenge (do you plan on watching that by the way?) it's one of the best shows on television today. That I promise you.

Oh, I watched Bunheads out of sheer curiosity. It definitely has its similarities to that of Gilmore Girls.

Vampire Diaries is a glaring exception in my book. ;) Indeed, its initial critical reception was akin to your crappy ABC Family/CW shows so I never thought to check it out - for the most part, a show like TVD needed to transcend its teen-centric premise for me to consider watching it. And it did!

Something like Bunheads, for example, is a show that I'll be watching because I really like Sutton Foster, and the creator has a good track record for quality programming due to Gilmore Girls. That lies in complete contrast to pretty much everything else on ABC Family! Whereas something that'd air on FX, I'd probably watch on sight unless it really didn't interest me.

You watch The Vampire Diaries and Mad Men, and TVD attracts the same audience as Teen Wolf/OUAT, so I think it's possible. I get your point though, because Mad Men never really did catch my attention very much.

I'm more of a Revenge addict though. :)
