ikr? It's so weird. Like, I get most of my names from baby name lists or from TV/movie characters... so that's fine. Girls are easier because they have so many unique names and stuff. Boys don't seem to have any that work as much. A lot of them are just... common as I keep saying. Phoenix is also our state capitol. XD So, that one would be a little weird for me to use as an actual name. I do like the name Eli for a boy... I haven't used that one in a long time either.

Thanks! I've got some beauties lined up for my next female character, and it suits them all a heck of a lot. And I've always loved the name Jade, too - just never had the right character for it. It's a good list.

Jules is a great unisex name, too. And believe me, I get the whole associations thing. I've been cheated out a ton of names that way, and I wouldn't want to be accused of projecting, for the love of mercy lmao.

I'm really digging the name Phoenix at the moment, too. Done cheesily, it's a catastrophe but the right character could really bring it out.

And this is a brilliant song by a French siren, so I recommend giving it a listen if you're in the mood.

I've always liked Hans Solo, along with Chewie. <3 That's why I was excited after realizing Netflix got it. You can use Memphis if you want... it's one of the few names that I use unless I'm writing a tomboy/transgender girl, which is pretty much rarely. If you want, I can show you my list of girl names. You're free to use whatever ones you like. I don't want to hog them all. :P

    Spoiler:

I'll probably add more later... but these are some of the ones I really like for girls~

Oh, Jude would be cute for a girl. It sounds very unisex. Klaus might work for my next male, same with Clance... hm. I don't want to use Simon because that makes me think of the Chipmunks for some reason. I have a harder time with males not just because of common names, but because a lot of those common names are also friend's names too. Like, I can't use a name that my friend has because I associate that name with them. So like, if I used say... Tyler for a love interest name, it would be super weird and awkward because Tyler is one of my friends here on PC. Does that make sense? (Sorry I used as an example Tyler... :P)

Ah, well it's a Chinese dish that is revoltingly delicious. And I'm really big on rice - it knocks spots off pasta and surpasses it in terms of versatility. Jam and pasta? Gross.

Solo was great. Not necessarily a great movie, once again, but certainly not without merit. Ehrenreich did brilliant and he really did capture Han Solo.

Actually, it's girl names where I tend to get stuck. They are a nightmare to sort out. With boy names, I'm usually torn between several. Klaus, Jude, Clance, Simon, Taj, Rufus, Janus, Mathieu, et cetera. Lady-wise, I stare at the screen for twenty minutes and gnaw on the table. Artemis is a favourite of mine, I suppose, and it's sorta unisex. Carlotta is another goodie.

And yeah, ordinary names are for suckers. But I liked your choice of Memphis. It's brilliant and I want to use it.

I don't know if I'd like rice and jam. It depends on the type of rice. I also don't know if Arizona sells that kind of beef. O___o

Here's my movie list. It's short atm... but I plan on expanding it as time goes on:

    Spoiler:

    Anyway, do you ever have a hard time with male names? I always struggle with them and end up recycling certain ones. D: I don't like using ordinary or common ones because it's so boring and such. >< I'm always at a loss for good male names. ;w;

Yup, it does. And not being like the others can be rubbish, I know - a really dark feeling that is overwhelming at the best of times. For me, it's my lack of know-how that does it, and volatility when it comes to compassion. It's tiresome being different but I also imagine that it's tiresome being like everyone else. Ah, the struggle to fit in, and the struggle to break free! Humans, at the end of the day, have no idea what they want and never what they need.

What?! But Coraline was a festival of the imagination! Still, Super 8 and Fantastic Beasts should make for a fun day/couple of days. S8 isn't necessarily a good movie in the true sense, but it's still very entertaining.

Add szechuan beef to the food list! And rice and jam, a dish I am currently eating. Spearmint milkshakes are also a slice of heaven.

Paint would ruin it. Besides, I have a Mac.

Scratch that. It's too big. I'll think of another way to do it. *head desk*

^ try that. I removed the resize parts. Discord has a tendency to resize images after they are sent. It's stupid, really.

I never really liked Coraline for some reason. I have always wanted to watch Super 8 though. I'll give you my watch lists later... right now, I'm kind of lazy. ^^; I did add Fantastic Beasts (both movies) to my list. <3 I combined movies and TV into one tab and created a new tab for a names listing instead. Hm... or maybe just story ideas since they strike me more than scenes do. I might make a tab for new things to try. Like, not big things just maybe foods or drinks for example.

Rats - the picture's too shrunken and I can't make it out. You could probably resize it with some really simple software. Paint is utter rubbish but it can get it done.

But it sounds healthy. Congrats for the dedication! And for a list of 'to-watch' movies, I suggest you see Kubo and the Two Strings, Super 8 and Coraline. Wait... maybe strike Super 8. There's a few blood splats here and there, and Coraline may get pretty sinister... but they're great watches. Really good.

And don't worry about the handwriting. I'm nearly an adult and it looks like I'm a toddler that has just got hold of a leaky pen.

Yeah, adding a column for names would be good. And maybe a column for story scenes that occurs to you? It can be easy to forget them.

It doesn't surprise me. Autistic people are for more intelligent than society makes us out to be. Anyway, I turned my writing binder into a collections bullet journal or whatever. It has a section for daily writing prompts. I decided to do something on mental health awareness because I found some prompts on it. I won't do all of them because some of them are really difficult to answer. ><

Here's the two I've done so far. The first is yesterday's prompt, and the second is for today:

    Spoiler:

Don't mind my horrible chicken scratch lol

I also have one section for movies to watch, and I have another for shows to watch. <3 Then, I have a section for my celebrity crushes as well, mostly male... even though I'm also bi as well. ^^; I have a mental health tracker which is basically like a journal. I put the date, the level or scale of my anxiety (1 being excellent and 10 being the worst). Yesterday, it was a 2 out of 10, so that was actually good. I write a little paragraph about the day I had as well. The last thing is my wish list... things that I want basically or anything that I pretty much "wish" for. I plan on getting more tabs for more things, but I'm not sure what else to do for others... any ideas? :O I thought of doing one tab for a list of names. Like, names that I can use for characters, names for my Pokemon... stuff like that.

Never heard of her, but she looks pretty. And I like the idea.

... BUT I JUST HAD AN EPIPHANY. I don't use capital letters very often, but they are a testament to its greatness. Okay, so here it is:

People in the Autism spectrum, getting through life, doing stuff, is inspirational and feelgood. A nice story. But suppose that you add a twist, and suddenly they're in a survival situation! Not necessarily zombies or aliens - just something that throws them in the deep end. And you'd make a perfect writer for it, because you already know about autism and it's strengths. It's not as though you're some guy off the street who doesn't know jack about it. And there is still room for slice of life and romance. You don't even need violence, you know?

Do you remember that story from the news a few years ago? Maybe not, but an autistic boy was lost in the woods and everyone thought the worst. But he survived. Two weeks, in the middle of nowhere, and he survived. That's brilliant.

Yeah. Sofia Carson. However, I really want to use my SPD ideas for another character first... just to get a handle on it. This one would be more of a coming of age/slice of life story. Basically, it's about this young woman who just turned 18. She is having a hard time adjusting to adulthood and "growing up", you know... since she's autistic and has SPD as well. I'm still working out some of the bugs and stuff with it. I'm thinking of giving her a small/easy job at the grocery store. A friend of hers she stayed in touch with works there and puts in a good word for her. Since her social skills aren't that great, she could be fine with restocking shelves and getting carts or something... just anything that doesn't involve a lot of over thinking (like grocery bagging and being a cashier) or whatever. She'd still deal with customers when they ask her for help, but that shouldn't be too overwhelming for her.

Dyscalculia? Well, I sympathise. Maths are positively evil and their necessity is a thorn in my side.

Sounds fun. Have you got a real person behind the character? In terms of looks, I mean.

Hm... that's true. I mean, I know I have some sort of math disability. My math skills are very poor. Sure, it varies on whatever I've managed to learn ad such, but don't expect me to know how to do fractions or understand decimals for an example. >< Right now, I'm trying to redo my character's traits to include autism.

That's rough, and it's strange how these conditions sometimes come in clusters...? Like, ADHD and Tourette and all that. It's bizarre.

I theorised over having a learning disability myself, but I've decided it's down to lack of practice with new activities and a slammed memory. And you know that saying... I can't remember it word-for-word, but it doesn't matter how long you take to learn
something, as long as you're actually trying. Effort alone can do nearly anything.
