September 26th, 2013 6:55 AMNolafusSorry, I had to get off and go to bed. College started on Monday for me and it has sucked up a lot of my free time. I'm typing this in the morning when I'm going to have to leave in five minutes. Hooray! D:

September 25th, 2013 10:06 PMFading TreeBro. That second paragraph made me laugh with how true it was. Right now I would like to battle if you're up for it. (I'm a bit tired, and would like to verse you )

September 25th, 2013 9:54 PMNolafusOh no! Darn, well I'll just copy what I said over here and add a few points as I was stressed for time.
My card game is unique in the fact that everyone uses the same deck. I have one deck that splits off into five smaller decks (level 1, 2, 3, 4, and traps). At the beginning of the first turn, everyone starts off with 1,500 food and 5,000 life points. You use food to buy different cards, and the only way to win is to deplete all of your opponents life points. When a monster gets destroyed, or when you use a trap, it simply returns to the bottom of the deck you took it from. Cards get more expensive with level 1 cards costing 500 food, level 2 costing 1,000 food, level 3 costing 1,500 costing food, level 4 costing 2,000 food, and traps costing 1,500 food. Players gain 500 food at the beginning of their turn. Monsters have only one stat, attack, and which ever one has the higher one wins. You have to get rid of a person's monsters and attack them directly to deplete their life points and eventually win. That's a basic overview of the game without going into the more technical details.
A lot of people refuse to set foot in a church because they feel like they're being judged. If only we could get rid of that, a lot more people might be willing to try it. My pastor shared a survey result with us about how non-religious people viewed religion. To make a long story short, just about everyone thought that religion was fine and might be beneficial, except for church. They thought everything was fine and dandy, but they wouldn't be caught dead inside of a church. -
September 25th, 2013 9:34 PMFading TreeBro I think you've tried to send me something, but it never made it to my page,

September 20th, 2013 5:18 AMFading TreeDo not make any cards that would break the games mechanics (This is what happened with yugioh. Elemental Dragons and Spellbooks ruined the game).
How are the monsters set up? Energy to attack or ... where I'm getting at is how many cards per deck, and how many win conditions exist?
(I don't listen to rap either unless it is from Reach Records, or R&B (Cristion Gray).)
"To my knees will I fall ... I can only imagine"
Reply to your serious note:
I agree we cannot be forceful. Our God is not forceful. He is the perfect gentlemen. It is sad that so many people are against us. But that falls to the misconception that people have of the church, because at one time the church was full of corruption.
Yes we can not be forceful, but what is forceful about putting a few Jesus songs on secular radio? (not Jesus Walks.)
To win people over first we have to live Jesus like. I like what Chick-Fillet did. When gay people were protesting outside Chick-Fillet, Chick-Fillet gave water out to them. I loved that act so much, because it is saying: You can hate us all you want, but our God still loves you.
The main reason the Church of America is not growing is because we are not being persecuted. We are set in our routines, and nobody is bothering us. Comfort is our main enemy right now. The Church of America is too comfortable with the world, and with sin. A lot of the church has no problem dabbling in sin for an hour or so a week, and has little problem with worldly things. Doesn't the bible call us to be holy (to be set apart.) For there to be a change you have to be that change first, and you then let other brothers and sisters know "this is how God moved in my life, how can I help you to make this change" and affect the world at the same time
(everything I said is not coming at you, but I am coming at myself, because I am part of the church, and the church body is my family and what the church is lacking right now is correction, but from what I seen is there is more correction going on, and I am waiting for the resurrection of the church body of whole hearted people, and God is ready to fix the brokenness but the people of America do not know and may not be ready for that yet.) -
September 19th, 2013 1:11 PMNolafusOn my card game, I've made probably around 120 different cards. A lot of them were my friends' ideas, so they weren't all my idea.
I don't really listen to rap on the radio because I don't like the message and I can't go onto youtube (my internet is like a cell phone data package, without the unlimited data option, I couldn't remember if I've told you this before), so all the rap I know is on the radio.
My favorite christian band is MercyMe. I really like their song "Finally Home", and it's the first song that really made me notice them. I love "To Save a Life", it's a great movie and it easily makes my list of top ten. I couldn't tell if you were talking about that movie or a song, so I'm sorry if you were referencing to other things. As said before, I can't watch videos, so I don't know all that much.
Okay, time to be serious for a minute. The truth is, yes, it would be nice if more christian songs/shows were played, but then people would have a fit. There was even a petition going around to change Christmas to simply, the holidays, because people were so against religion that they didn't want a single tie to it. If more people are going to be converted, it has to be done without force. When people are forced to do something, they tend to want to do the opposite, so if we start putting Christian stuff everywhere, people would throw a fit.
In my opinion, you have to ease people into it. The way I go about my life, I don't preach everywhere I go because it will only turn people off of it. I try to be as nice as I possibly can to anyone and everyone. I try to live the bible out, rather than preach and talk about it. If people wanted to learn about that stuff, they could go to church. Now church brings up a whole new issue that I'm not going to touch right now. I may not be converting a thousand people a day, but I think I'm at least bringing down those stereotypes people carry with them.
One of my aethiest friends came over for dinner. When I first met him, he was intolerant to any hint of religion whatsoever. After a couple years of hanging out, he prayed with the rest of my family without any conflict. Multiple surveys have concluded that the reason most people don't like religion, is because they feel like they're being judged. I feel the best way to bring people in, is to get rid of these barriers and awkwardness that drive people away. -
September 19th, 2013 8:08 AMFading TreeThe site went out. I went to sleep.
I would like to learn but perhaps I should wait until its published?
How many cards did you make so far? (not counting duplicates)
About Jesus and television. Generally the name of Jesus is banned from TV. I had the radio on one day the men from DuckDynasty won a trophy or something, and when they were talking they were like "we're sorry Dad that they censor your name sometimes on our show."
"some people won't vote for religious people" People obviously voted for Cami. For her to come in 6th place.
You know the band The Fray? I was surprised to find out they are Christians. On wikipedia it says we felt lead by God to do secular music. (I don't know how I feel about that previous statement. If that is what God truly wanted them to do. Then *applaud* "How to Save A Life" was played on national TV. Hopefully that song saved at least 1 person. If it got someone thinking about God, and then Jesus, and then lead them to the Father. Then "Good job my faithful sons.")
"People don't sing those type of songs." Whose fault is it that they don't vote for those types of songs? We have plenty of great artist that make a plentha of great music. I'm going to flip to the rap side for a minute. The content of Rap (from Reach Records | Stuff on Rapzilla) is amazing. It is equal to and better than the rap on the radio.
Another thing is that we have to step our unit has to get our game up. We need control of that radio. The radio controls the youth. The youth make the future. Constantly our generation is seeing the quickest way to get big is to sell drugs. What it means to be a man is how many biddies you bag, and to know at least 1 sport. (I live in the inner city so of course I have a different viewpoint.) These youth, and men need a life change and it begins on your knees praying for your nation (which I fall guilty of not doing...) and then getting Jesus music on the radio.
As Christians aren't we called to do the impossible? God gives us a mission. It feels impossible, but all we have to do is the possible. Jesus will do the rest, and the reason God gives us impossible missions is so he can get the glory. -
September 18th, 2013 11:59 PMNolafusI would teach you, but it requires certain cards that I draw myself. That's what I mean when I say it's like magic and yu-gi-oh, special cards are required. I remember in statistics our teacher had us play texas hold 'em, except we were gambling our grades. Luckily, he only counted it if you gained chips. I started with 100 and ended with 312.
I don't think religion is banned from AGT as there have been several religious groups on there. I think they discourage contestants from doing them, however, because the sad truth is some people won't vote for religious people, so people don't sing those type of songs. -
September 18th, 2013 11:46 PMFading TreeI'll learn how to play your card game. After all I play Caravan, Poker, and other card games (no gambling) Cami looks nice, and sings just as beautiful :P
I guess Jesus Culture and Hillsong were barred from AGT. -
September 18th, 2013 11:36 PMNolafusI never played yu-gi-oh, and I'm sure her performances are on youtube. Try searching "Cami Bradley" if you're interested. The only card game I've ever played (besides the one I made) was magic. It's complicated once you start, but you soon start to get the hang of things. Risk is a game I will rarely play because I never win and it takes forever. I've never played advanced wars, but I heard it was a good game.
-
September 18th, 2013 11:20 PMFading TreeYou make me wish I watched TV now. So I could've watched her perform.
After 11 years of playing yugioh of and on I finally quit. Lord of the Tacheoyeon ruined the game for me. I never played magic, but PKMN TCG is a simple version of Magic.
I always wanted to play risk. The closest I got was Advance Wars -
September 18th, 2013 11:07 PMNolafusI've been going to church pretty much my entire life. We just recently moved to another church, where our music director is the one to make it to the final six on AGT. Unfortunately, she finished sixth, but she did very well.
I actually have a few game ideas myself, one is a card game (like magic and yu-gi-oh), and another game is one that I would compare to risk because it's militaristic and it takes FOREVER (seven hours in my first playthrough). I think it would be really cool to patent them and take it to a big game company and sell them. -
September 18th, 2013 10:59 PMFading TreeGet that mouse! "why is the trap missing?" well maybe it'll be okay to wake daddy. ahh crap daddy was a real monster. Time to morph *beetle binder*
^ Nostalgia ._____________.
What I do for fun:
My original expression: .___. Fun who has fun these days (lol)
I got youtube, and I have friends. Right now we've been working on a game. I listen to music, Rap (Reach Records) to Metal. Anime fell off my radar, and I attend church (started going not to long ago.) -
September 18th, 2013 10:30 PMNolafusWell good luck, I hope they call.
Sorry about that, it probably said I was online, but I was watching the finals of AGT (America's Got Talent). It was an interesting season. Of course it gets more interesting when there's a contestant from the same town as you and they make it to the final six.
I had a lot of fun today. We played some disc golf, video games, we even dug around in our game closet and found a really old board game. The 90's games were so weird, it wasn't all about playability, but more about what kind of cool stuff came along with the game. Kind of like today's video games with the graphics.
What do you do for fun? -
September 18th, 2013 9:16 PMFading TreeI made the application. Hopefully I'll get a call for the interview. How was your day with your friend?
