May 10th, 2021 4:30 AMHonestI do plan on visiting again, so maybe you'll get your chance eventually! Was with the gf, we hit a couple of neat spots. El Retiro Park and the museum that held La Guernica. Also hit that massive club, forgot the name, the one with 7 floors or so? Def had my most memorable night there, the song Tusa will always remind me of the trip haha

April 27th, 2021 2:04 PMIvysaurOh man, I would have loved to say hello. Guess same energy as when I was in NY two years ago.
Which places did you visit? I'm getting some experience being a tour guide just from touring people around (last year, Omicron and Kaori visited before everything started burning). -
April 27th, 2021 1:38 PMHonestNice! I was actually in Madrid last January, absolutely gorgeous city. Had the time of my life there. And yes you should! When the world stops trying to kill itself anyway.

April 27th, 2021 1:31 PMIvysaurHeey it's been a while, good thing you recognised me! I did visit Rika and had a great time with them lol, wish I could travel again. I need to go back to the US northeast next time I have a chance.

March 2nd, 2014 1:49 PMHonestVery late reply, oops. I guess every language has it's weird rules and variations, eh? Although I'm only basing that off English and Spanish ;x

February 21st, 2014 3:55 AMIvysaurWell, there are several versions for each "you": tú and vos for singular and ustedes and vosotros for plural. I find it ridiculous that Argentinians use vos and ustedes while we use tú and vosotros. I think nobody uses the vos/vosotros combo, which is the one that actually makes the most sense.
Oh and yeah, that's terrible. When we want to mock them, we replace their "y" and "ll" for "sh", because that's how it sounds. Oh, and their c/z for s. "Disen que va a shover". -
February 20th, 2014 6:39 PMHonestI never did learn vosotros while learning High School Spanish... I'm gonna have to retake Spanish in college, I cry. My Spanish teacher was Argentinian, so I learned to pronounce 'll' like a 'j' D:
-
February 18th, 2014 3:34 PMIvysaurBut much much uglier. And they don't speak "proper" Spanish, they use "vos" Spanish and they are unable to pronounce "c" or "z". Oh, and they use funny "ll" and "y".

February 18th, 2014 9:17 AMHonestThat actually sounds remarkably similar to Manhattan. O.o With the potholes and grid structure and what not. I think I'd feel right at home as soon as I learn proper Spanish :P

February 17th, 2014 5:29 PMIvysaurHmm. It depends. The city is showing its age, with some zones very deteriorated due to lack of conservation, while the streets are really bad (lots of potholes everywhere) and the city is entirely car-oriented- it's hard to navigate otherwise.
Also, after living all my life in traditional European "put your house wherever you felt like" cities and towns, this perfectly geometrical grid of streets feels very oppressive, and there are barely any green areas or squares anywhere, other than a few select places. And the river crossing the city is in the top 10 of "most polluted areas in the world". -
February 17th, 2014 5:18 PMHonestBuenos Aires, oh man, I heard it's beautiful there. ;_; I wish I could visit one day.
-
February 17th, 2014 5:14 PMIvysaurWell, I'm still in the same house since I got to Buenos Aires in October, and it's too much hassle to move since I'll be leaving in July anyway.
-
February 17th, 2014 5:10 PMHonestSomehow o.o Seems like we talk less, weird. And awww, that sucks. Did you relocate, by the way?
-
February 17th, 2014 5:03 PMIvysaurAnd yet we have like six pages of VM's XD
I'm doing fine, although sadly these days I don't have much time to do more than working/computer stuff D: -
February 17th, 2014 10:42 AMHonestHow're you doing? ;3 We never really talk, so I figured I'd try to change that, haha
