July 12th, 2016 10:36 PMArsenicLeeets not use that name there again, yeah? lol.
See ya tomorrow Nicky -
July 12th, 2016 10:31 PMArcaneumYes I have, so you should definitely go to bed, young man, haha.
-
July 12th, 2016 10:29 PMArsenicHold on.. Did you go to sleep and wake up for the day in the time I've been up?
Maybe it's time for bed lol... -
July 12th, 2016 1:18 PMArsenicWell, that sounds a bit over my head currently xD How long you worked there? Two/three years?
And I've only got about a year and a half with this company so I suppose you should be rattataing about it to me if anything lol
They haven't let me at the big things like those you say you've done yet as far as managerial duties, especially since I don't have keys or manager numbers. I pick up the slack on the floor while they screw off in the cash office.
Not big on talking about personal problems so bleh -
July 12th, 2016 12:34 PMArcaneumIn terms of Admin, I cover: Payroll (for our workers); Candidate Management (inserting candidates into our system, auditing, archiving); Client Management (same but for our clients); Calendar organising for the entire branch; Office Management; Consultant Management at time (they can be a pain...).
Hey, sounds like my previous job! I was in a similar environment (retail) for around 7 years and despite actually being the lowest job title there I was covering everything up to Merchandising and Sales (read: specialist/managerial roles) as well as Payroll, Cash Office and the like. For no extra pay or benefit to myself, infact the manager almost called in Occupational Health on me because I was off for one day and had called in 10 minutes after I started because I was so ill I couldn't move until then. Hence why I then left into this position.
Well, a position within the company would be correct; I started off as an Administrator due to my 1337 computer skills and mainly my customer service gained from being in retail. After a year I was then promoted to a Resourcer because I was essentially doing the job unofficially.
Hey man, I'm always welcome to a bit of the Violin. Play away, I'm here to listen. [omg bare rhymes y0000000000]. -
July 12th, 2016 11:58 AMArsenicThat's... actually pretty cool! What kind of administrative duties do you currently do, like staffing of your own business and company paperwork and such or something else? Also how'd you land a job like that?
Sound like a service I could use in the future since I'm pretty close to just walking out of my job...
Speaking of which. I am a lowly retail worker for the megapsyduck of a corporation Staples. My official job is being a Tech and selling printers/laptops/other crap people done need as well as removing all the viruses they get from (Insert fake porn sight) or whatever stupid website they go to and forget to close before they bring in. I also run the copy and print department when no one else is there since they refuse to hire more than two former retirees, as well as take care of everything that needs to be done in office supply. And from the call I got yesterday it looks like I get to pick up the inventory manager's duties too since she left. And of course all the things the managers forget to do as well.
I'll stop there before I have to pull out the Worlds Smallest Violin for myself. -
July 12th, 2016 11:38 AMArcaneumI work for a recruitment agency; what we do is provide staff as per the requests of our clientelle. My role specifically entails contacting and then registering potential candidates to then be placed into work by one of the consultants in branch. I also liaise with clients regarding their bookings in place of consultants as well as - currently - administration duties throughout the branch.
However, New Lady is taking over the Admin now! So more time to do my actual job yaaaaaaaaaay!
And yourself? I think I asked already but I forgot :[ -
July 12th, 2016 11:23 AMArsenicSay I was going to ask, whatcha do for work? As long as you don't mind talking about it of course!

And just to paint a picture Boston is about 152 miles (245 Kilos) or roughly 2 and a half hours away. -
July 11th, 2016 9:46 AMArcaneumOh I can't do anything fancy, it would essentially be something like my 'PREDATOR' one I had. lma0.
Well you mentioned Boston which is relatively close, so I am assuming right this second....
