All disagreements between staff and members are reviewed in the staff forums. Staff work together to view each situation objectively and make sure the correct action is taken.
True but per say if they don't no bout this n the kid is bias bout seeing someone being bullied then they dont investigate thats not fair if u don't investigate. Also how's the weather in Minnesota
That's why we have a team of S-Mods and Admins to talk it over and choose from a pool of candidates. If they feel someone is responsible enough and dedicated enough, and the member gets enough votes from those guys, then they are offered the position. Mods really are just regular members who have extra work to do- enforcing rules and keeping their section tidy.
In all honesty, this type of work helps us develop social, interpersonal, and leadership skills as well as critical thinking and discussion. We're learning about all those things as we interact with the ever-changing community and it's a great opportunity for younger people to develop those important skills, because they will be useful offline in real jobs and life in general.
