July 31st, 2014 3:27 PMmaccrashyeah it was seriously like Mind-Boggling to me. and I have not listened to thought for food yet, admittedly this album was the first full one of theirs I'd listened to :||| I'd always been meaning to listen to them and I'm super glad I did. I'll probably listen to it very soon. also I second what shenaniaingiangs said about you listening to stuff with us 8)

July 31st, 2014 3:24 PMFairylmfao yeah the entire album is some of their best work (although I'll always favor lost and safe just cause it was my first). it's another prime example of music being turned into the physics of sounds and manipulated into something incredible. Have you listened to Thought for Food yet?

July 31st, 2014 3:21 PMmaccrashhahahahahaha I figured you were missing something because I remember you saying you were into them before. it was seriously so ♥♥♥♥ing incredible though, the way they manipulated everything and the way everything congealed even though the samples are ridiculously weird was so impressive and I LOVED IT.

July 26th, 2014 2:00 PMmaccrashI also like to think I have a flair for the obscure and the excellent so this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. (0:
and you should totally check out Spirit. it's amazing. the first song's really hard to get into because it's super noisy and there's this squall going through the whole thing that like numbs your brain and hurts but it's pretty cool once you get into it. and then everything feels washed out when it ends. it's a weird effect. but the album's good I promise. what's your favorite track on Sung Tongs though? random question but there are a lot of good songs -
July 26th, 2014 1:56 PMFairyD'aw, thank you. 8) What can I say? I have a flair for the obscure and the excellent.
Spirit They're Gone? Jeez.. that's like really early work haha. I've only listened to a handful of songs, (Bat You'll Fly, Chocolate Girl, etc) not the whole album sadly. Something I'll definitely fix now! -
July 26th, 2014 1:38 PMmaccrashwas just stalking your conversation with shenanigans and it CEMENTED the fact that you have super awesome taste in music. noticed you called AnCo's early stuff awkward sounding tho, what do you think of Spirit They're Gone etc?
-
June 26th, 2014 8:16 AMmaccrashya I was planning on checking out some of his earlier stuff whenever I got around to listening. thanks for the rec.
and music is, like, my favorite thing. I spend way too much time listening to new stuff and making new stuff and playing and ♥♥♥♥. -
June 26th, 2014 8:05 AMFairyHahaha thanks! Yeah Animal Collective/Panda Bear are definitely two of my favorites. If you looking into Devendra, make sure you check out his older stuff, Cripple Crow and the like. It's way better imo.
I'm not much of a music junkie, but I have a musician's ear and feel like I know what makes for good sound so! -
June 26th, 2014 7:54 AMmaccrashooo I love AnCo and Panda Bear, and I like what I've heard from Dan Deacon. I've been meaning to check out Devandra Banhart but haven't yet. nice taste regardless (0;
