To tell you the truth, the alpha is all I've got. I haven't started on Viridian City yet, and I won't until I start on the guardhouse tiles. Which I'm too lazy to do atm. But thanks for pointing out some minor glitches. I must have been really lazy when doing the tiles for Blue's house, since that room didn't even exist in FR/LG.

Alpha played, comment posted. Nice work, it has to be said. And thanks for the mention in the first post, it wasn't any trouble anyways. I wouldn't know whetheryou changed the music or not, because my sound is out, but if you did I'm sure it's also great.
Are you much further than the Alpha right now, or occupied with other stuff at the minute?
-
Yes, in fact, a new thread just got approved in the Progress Hacks section.
-
Oh, ok.
Well, I've been downloading some of the stuff I had before. I'll be starting Infinity again as soon as I get another Sound Card- Emerald is still the best, so I'm going back to it. Ruby just lacks too much, and I don't think Fire Red is too much better.
Have you been hacking much lately?

Okay, thanks, I guess I can just get used to it. What OS are you running, now that I think of it?
-
I use Paint. It's really easy, IMO.
-
Hey.
I was wondering, what image editor do you use? I had a great one called Ulead PhotoImpact, but it came with my computer, and it's not free to download. I've got Paint but I'd rather not have to resort to it. I mean if that's what you use I guess it's good enough for me, , but... Yeah, just wondering. :)

...And the question is? Lol jk.
I noticed that too, today- I expanded with 00, edited A-Map's INI (setting the point of expansion as the starting search point, so FFFFFF). I didn't do anything with maps but I set $1000000 as the offset of a script, and XSE didn't seem to recognise it as an offset. :/

I have a question: I was considering expanding the rom to 32mb, and at first I did it with 00 bytes. Then I noticed that AdvanceMap wasn't repointing things to where it should (I changed the ini again), so this time I experimented by using FF bytes. I chose to manually repoint everything instead of A-Map automatically doing it, and it refuses to repoint to an offset higher than $FFFFFF (I get the invalid map footer message). If I set it to $1000000, it would repoint to $000000 and break the rom.
So currently I'm working under 16 mb, but I'm worried about my free space, especially after inserting all those FR/LG sprites.

:(
I could, but I don't have the energy for that right now. I'm actually on Infinity V5 right now, so I might take a break for a few days..
-
Or you could restart...again...
-
Ah. So... Crap. That's not too good, either, if it means I have to wait. I've considered switching bases, but I'm just too attached to Emerald, it has everything I need, regarding the sprites, Pokenav, music, etc. Ruby and Fire Red have too many lackings in comparison. Meh, I'll have to wait and see.
Thanks, I'll check that out now.

About your A-Map/XSE problem, HackMew once told me that in the future he'll have to change XSE to search for FF bytes when using Emerald.
So I guess the problem you're having is that XSE is searching for 00 bytes, but since you expanded the rom with FF bytes, XSE thinks there's no free space.
Also about that patch, there's one Pokemon with a palette problem I forgot to correct: Magmar.

I did, yeah. I really don't know why it's screwing up on me- certain tiles just glitch, and change whenever the screen reloads, and if you walk around it's like the movement permissions go crazy... I honestly have no idea why it does that.
OMG, I noticed that too :D Game Freak has no respect for people's intelligence.
Aaah, custom Hoenn sprites?... Alright, I'll give it a go, haha :D That'll take me a while, though :/ When do you want to start those?
(in case you didn't get the PM, thanks for the patch).
