    JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) Impressions/Review (short one).

Starts off very, very weak. Consists of manga adaptations of Part 1 Phantom Blood and Part 2 Battle Tendency. Former runs for 9 episode and latter goes on for 17 episodes. Phantom Blood is very straightforward and super campy. 7/9 episodes were super underwhelming to me. Picks up in the last two episodes. Battle Tendency is fun throughout although a certain character that dies in the first two episodes of the arc was handled very poorly. Over-the-top shounen with tons of gore, epic poses and plenty of cool fights. Had a small budget so David Production DID cut corners but it is a highly stylized show so they managed to cover it up a bit. BGM is good and fits. OPs are visually stunning. Second OP 'Bloody Stream' deserves special mention - downright fantastic. ED is a very old english song called 'Roundabout' by YES and kinda fits.

All in all, a very fun show as long as you manage to look past the weakness of the first arc.

Yes, it does have fanservice. But it is less than Kill la Kill, ofc. :3 Also, just look at the overwhelming +ve response this has!

Only sequels to previously known titles break into higher ranks like top 100 or 200 after only 3 episodes (JoJo in 50s and Mushishi Zoku Shou in 30s last I checked). All the other new shows are struggling to break top 400. :p ANYWAY, this show's popularity is fast increasing. Has more people watching it than the most hyped anime 'Mahouka' of this season. And for good reason. It is kind of clever, characters are interesting, fanservice isn't the oh-my-god-the-girl-slipped-and-now-has-her-V-in-protag's-face kind, it is ridiculously hilarious (not gintama level but still!!) and it adds in a healthy dose of references that made me chuckle (both episode 2 and 3 had JoJo references. 3 also had phoenix wright's OBJECTION along with a remix of the game's soundtrack playing in BG).

My second fave anime this season.

Love the color palette for NGNL, but how much fanservice is there? :P I have finished with exams as of yesterday.

Ehh, Rozen Maiden is not a must-see.
