I was thinking of looking at Philly but I love the subway system around here. I have a license but haven't driven in years since I hardly needed to. I don't want to have to put down money for a car and car insurance quite yet (if at all, honestly; I loathe driving) so I'll need to make some sacrifices about where I will live.
Boston is unfortunately as expensive as NYC for the most part. ;-; from what I've seen. life..
gross that's like 3-4x cheaper than here for a one bedroom. Usually they run for 2-3k$ a month and that's not including utilities for some of them. If they were 600-800 then I'd have been able to move out on my crappy former $11/hr salary when I was full-time xD
45 minutes.. kill me.. that's soo long. ): Then again it takes like an hour to get to Manhattan from Staten Island on the express bus. I'd prefer to stay around the NYC area since Manhattan has all the high-paying jobs and it's impossible to drive to work there because of lack of parking. But then I'd have to be ready to pay out the butt for rent...........
as in unable to move out of my parents' house quite yet. Most starting salaries won't be nearly enough to cover your apartment fees here, much less food/electricity/water/etc. Poo. I want to move to a cheaper state but that means less jobs which is no good either. @_x
