November 20th, 2016 7:22 AMOverlord DrakowYeah I was just like, lol yolo let's just apply and see what happens, nothing to lose and hopefully everything to gain.
BAU = Business As Usual
MI = Management Information
I squeeze in some time at night to play 3DS or read a book while holidaying it up. Otherwise you should be out and about while on vacation not on your ass.
I do watch some anime now and again these days but it's on my laptop not my TV so . . .
A fair amount of it is antique furniture that my mum has collected over the years - she is an antique fanatic. Yeah I bet you were the biggest troublemaker in the bathroom department back at your folks home :p -

Hmm then better to have applied than not applied at all. Hope that lady luck is on your side. o/ I'm not sure what BAU MI means; where do you work?
Ehhh the holidays. Too many people in a small space for me to handle. I could never play on my laptop or 3ds or even phone in peace. D:
That's true then, if you don't watch TV often enough, then get something that matches your needs. I tend to watch anime at night while eating dinner. Cats aren't allowed in my room when I have food because they'll jump up and put their entire face in my dish or drink.
Pretty nice stuff, I'm sad that my dresser is basically those 3-cube plastic storage things from Walmart. I do have a huge closet, though. I love having my own bathroom. I didn't like sharing the one bathroom with my brother and parents when I lived at home. -

November 19th, 2016 8:00 AMOverlord DrakowNo, not yet. The advert went live end of last week (Friday 11th). I suspect my boss will leave it open for around a month before getting back to applicants. So I think early December. I'm probably screwed if anyone else applies for the position internally though I do have a few advantages over other applicants. But even if no one else applies there is always the chance I get shot down anyway and my boss decides to look externally for the position. So it is a long shot as I say but the probability of me getting the position is not zero! As a company, we get an annual bonus at the beginning of each year as well as a small pay increase. Outside of that, unless you get promoted, your salary ain't going up. My role is very repetitive as there is a suite of BAU MI that needs to be completed every day / week / month haha. That's not the entirety of the role though as we also respond to adhoc requests from the business as well as R and D work.
Yeah and while I would say my laptop is too big to take with me on holidays and such, it's a great tool for home use.
That's the thing, I wouldn't use my PS4 enough to justify the 4K TV I don't think. I don't even watch TV so . . .
Yeah most of my furniture is handed down from my parents but my parents have nice furniture haha so yeah. I actually posted some pics of my place here;

November 19th, 2016 5:59 AMTwilightBladeHeya, did you hear back from the department? That would be a great opportunity to learn his skills and knowledge. :o Also a great moment to earn a much higher salary and spend it on shenanigans. I'm happy I got a $250 bonus this month. :D My work can get repetitive as I enter bills and prepare financials by every 20th of the month, but it's a cozy little job that I'd like to stick with for at least a year.
I bought a new mouse and that fixed my problem now. XD My desktop was powerful enough to run Borderlands 2 quite smoothly. It's been ages since I played Steam. I would recommend going big or going home sometimes... :P
I'm happy with my PS4 and 32 inch TV though. I don't play it enough to justify a larger TV. My furniture is sparse, though. My parents visit every now and then. I take hand-me-downs from my older brother when he replaced his couch. I can't have anything nice because the cats still scratch furniture. -
November 16th, 2016 11:07 AMOverlord DrakowSame with mine. Speaking about jobs, my line manager is leaving and there's an internal job advert for his Team Leader role. I am next in line in the team but I lack his technical ability. I can handle the management side of things but my business and technical knowledge is a far cry away from his. I've applied anyway and while the odds are against me, I do have some advantages over other potential candidates who apply. My company has grade levels and I am currently a 6B and this role is for a level 5 so if I got it, I would be skipping past 6A which would probably cause some controversy within my workplace I suspect. The pay rise though is stupidly big if I get it. Like I'm talking over £10k big >___>
I have a gigabyte laptop which is a gaming laptop though I don't use it for gaming. It has plenty enough power although it is a 17 inch laptop so quite big. And yeah PS4 Pro though I don't have a 4K TV but maybe I'll get one of those also. I don't think it's worth it at the moment as I go through phases of console gaming. -
November 16th, 2016 10:34 AMTwilightBladeProbably, she loves cords and string s and breaking things. My new job is pretty lax about cell phone use. I'm not sure, I love the portability of a laptop, but want the power of a desktop. If you mean the ps4 pro then we can be ps4 buddies yay. Christmas isn't fun as an adult..

November 16th, 2016 9:50 AMOverlord DrakowLol don't tell me your cat thought it was a real mouse ahahaha!
I use my phone at work too, a lot of people do. As long as it's not excessive, there shouldn't be any issue.
What kind of computer you looking to get? I will probably get myself a PS Pro for Christmas. Welcome to the adult world, you gotta pay for your own muk now. -
November 16th, 2016 6:05 AMTwilightBladeI'm not ignoring you, my cat broke my mouse so it's not clicking half the time now. I haven't been on my desktop since. I'm the crazy cat lady for sure. I'm on my phone at work though. I voted Republican so it is what it is. He's far from perfect and his personality is crude. I want a new computer for Christmas yet I can't wait that long. O also don't get presents all that much anymore

November 6th, 2016 9:44 AMOverlord DrakowI never bothered with the FF remakes though I did get the remaster of Valkyria Chronicles. I'm planning on getting the PS4.5 towards the end of the year but I don't think I'll shell out the money to get a 4K TV. I used to be quite into FF but nowadays I just want to dive into a game and play, rather than reading through strategy guides so I don't miss certain events etc.
I have a couple of G's in my main bank account which can be used for emergencies and such. Which actually came into play . . . I recently competed in Poland (wrote a blog entry on it) but missed my return flight so had to book another for me and the guy I was travelling with because he didn't bring enough money. In fact, I had to pay for his tournament fare and some living expenses as well. The guy actually owes me over half a G . . . So yeah thankfully had the bail out money because being stuck in a foreign country would have been the utter muk let me tell you lol
Ah, you have found companionship with your feline friends, may I call you the crazy cat lady? The stillness and silence are my companions.
I could say the exact same thing about women and trouble. Seriously, I swear there's a lot more trash in society these days than in the past. That's both men and women by the way . . .
Anyway, welcome back, I hope you stay a while and don't decide to vanish without a word for months on end . . . But I am guilty of the exact same crime so . . .
Any end of year / Christmas plans? -
November 6th, 2016 7:33 AMTwilightBladeI never ended up getting No Man's Sky, but I did get Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD. :3 Been pretty happy with it and I may pick up the upcoming FF15.
I have the Bachelor's degree in Accounting and would like to pursue a Masters in Business Admin. instead of Accounting as it's more versatile. I just don't know when to really fit in working full time and attending classes.
That's good to have a mortgage instead of a rent payment; you're building the equity. I recommend building an emergency savings fund as it's helped me in the past when I didn't have a place to go. I'm working and living alone, but my cats keep me company.
Best years outside of PC are still the 2007-2014 era when I was in high school and university. Although I have a lot more freedom since graduating, I miss having solid friendships. The girls in my cities are quite scatterbrains... I have a few friends now that love Smash Bros and anime as much as I do. However they're all guys and guys spell trouble. :p -
