July 18th, 2014 8:47 PMCycloneWant your Sneasel back? I'll be online shortly to help someone with something.

July 18th, 2014 8:40 PMCycloneAnd, verily, you look quite distinguished with that monocle, good sir! The tea, on the other hand...
I shall now take unto myself a quick Eevee breed, then I'll take a small requests break and look into completing all catches in Central Kalos using some high-IV "stony" evolutions. Of course, that means I have to get lots of Shiny Stones (five Florges varieties). I pray for one female Eevee. Just one. After that, I do not care as I'll Ditto the Eggies. All this to combine my existing "Wish" import Eevee with a "Stored Power/Synchronoise" one.
Interestingly, I saw a video of someone's 10 worst moves. It included Synchronoise. I replied with the benefits of it on an Eevee. -
July 18th, 2014 8:25 PMPolar SpectrumTrue dat. A very ideal pokemon acquisition if I do say so myself. *sips tea and adjusts monocle*
Just got my Munnas and my Drillburs tonight. -
July 18th, 2014 8:21 PMCycloneMission accomplished (for now, until I Shiny hunt). 6IV 4EM female Heracross in a Level Ball. Can't get any better than that without Shininess.
-
July 17th, 2014 8:14 PMPolar SpectrumI'm not even using a 6 IV ditto ;-;
I don't have one. I kinda gave up on that for now ~ but ay, good luck with your fighting bugs :D Hopefully tomorrow I'll awake to see you got your 6 IV female. ^^ Goodnight though - I'm pooped. -
July 17th, 2014 8:04 PMCycloneI have 24 new subjects. I gotta be getting to the part where I find a 6IV female. Or at least another male, but it's female time.
-
July 17th, 2014 8:03 PMCycloneTwo words: 6IV Ditto with Everstone.
Wait, that's five... -
July 17th, 2014 7:58 PMPolar SpectrumGODDAMMIT
I hatched ONE Drillbur; just trying to bust out a quick Hidden ability female in a dream ball, and it's got 6 IV's. -3- BOLD - nature; which - god, the hell am I supposed to do with that - but six IV's. =_= Sick of your crap Pokemon RNG, reeeeeally sick of your crap. -
July 17th, 2014 7:44 PMPolar SpectrumYeah, if it's got egg moves - the first thing I do is hand them a lucky egg and walk about 50 feet over to the Battle Chateau, and kill 3 level 65 Audino with Exp Power level 3 on. That'll wipe out the first 30 or so levels of having to take them out and worry about forgetting moves. :P
xD I wouldn't wanna explain HSOWA to anybody - especially with male wailord and female skitty. -
July 17th, 2014 7:40 PMCycloneAlso, can you see them trying to explain HSOWA to a ten year old?
"You see, Skitty walks into the area near Wailord's butt, lies down, and secretes a magical liquid..." -
July 17th, 2014 7:39 PMCycloneI just take them out. I save the 100 I spend for the service by leveling it up past that level anyway, and it lets me clear the Eggs out before incurring substantially more.

July 17th, 2014 7:36 PMPolar SpectrumPssssh - I think we all have our different headcanon on that. :P I like the idea that the Daycare Couple knows, but since they don't want to explain the process of pokemon having sex to a 10-year old, they just say "We don't know where it came from!"
And yeah, a pokemon will have its moves overwritten automatically as it levels up, but until you take it out, the moves it can pass down will be whatever it knew when you left it in. I'm always torn between exploiting that and leaving them in as long as I need to breed, or taking it out every few levels to preserve 3 of the 4, and heart scale one back later. -
July 17th, 2014 7:24 PMCycloneKeep in mind the daycare couple isn't always keeping the eyes on them (hence why they never know where the Eggs come from or they'd know that there's something going on). So it's basically the Pokémon learning the move on its own. The daycare couple is not involved; it's the Pokémon trying to impress the Trainer.
Something I learned, though. If left in the daycare, all Eggs will retain the Egg Moves even if overwritten. Once the Pokémon is taken out, however, the move is gone. -
July 17th, 2014 7:20 PMPolar SpectrumOh lawdy yeah, the learned moves replacing things is so obnoxious. They should make that an option in a future pokemon game (however unlikely it is) - having the daycare couple ask you something like "Would you like your pokemon to forget moves in order to learn new ones while it's here with us?"
-
July 17th, 2014 7:15 PMCycloneSo far with this mother, at least 36. Possibly another two dozen.
The good news: I'm up to Lv.37 with her. Won't be long until I'm at Lv.43 and the last learned move is past. I can leave her in the daycare and check batches one by one then.
