July 11th, 2014 8:25 PMCycloneYes, I was going to send back the original - and I call the original the one I moved to Y, before backing up the save, then moved back to a box in the Bank. I restored the save, moved the SECOND one to the Bank (I call it a clone), then restored AGAIN to get a third. So I can keep that one in there for that game.
Since I got it from you (i.e. it's not mine), I will not offer it for trade, but I might try for my own Shiny in that one day if I feel like it. I do make exceptions to the "not mine" rule; for instance, the Wonder Traded Growlithe I received I DO consider mine because the other person clearly did not want it. I'm giving yours back, and I respect the fact that it's yours. :) -
July 11th, 2014 8:18 PMPolar SpectrumThat's kind of interesting, because it means you could get infinite of any event, including distribution legendaries or pokemon holding mega stones that way :x Count me out of it - and I don't have the relicanth yet, I'm just breeding something for a match tomorrow night :3 I just saw that you have the shiny butterfree duped though ~ is that what you wanted to trade back for?

July 11th, 2014 7:57 PMCycloneAll right, I've created two clones of a bunch of stuff, including the Shiny Butterfree. It's untouched since I received it, and I've just verified that the originals still exist. I love the new cloning method because the Bank and the game still both think that they are originals, but it could be argued that the real originals are the first set copied back to the Bank (since I just restore the save, which is backed up on this laptop, and therefore the restored save puts the second one onto the cartridge when written).
So everything is there, I've loaded Y and verified that it runs, and I'm ready to send Butterfree back! Also, something I just picked up on that is hilarious. The backed up save includes the delivery girl by the door. If I choose, I can get as many Fancy Vivillon as I want...and technically they are all originals as I received them, put them in the PC, and Banked them...kinda cool, even though it could be argued I'm using a hacking-style process to get them. I might get one for myself and then get another for cloning. I'll debate that. -
July 11th, 2014 7:34 PMCycloneI'll be honest with you: I don't even know if it has ANY IVs. Hence why I said if you have a female Sturdy, I can use that for breeding for both of us.
Let me look into cloning that Butterfree now (I have more stuff to clone as well including some 6IVs and other Shinies, swapping Y in right now). I can send that Butterfree back for the female Sturdy. It gives me something to do tomorrow after the new pool cover crap (I hate pool work, I don't even use the damn thing) is done. -
July 11th, 2014 7:20 PMPolar SpectrumxD nah man, just whatever you've got now. As long as it has Egg moves and like 2 IV's, I'll just swap you a Sturdy female Relicanth for it. Maybe tomorrow though =_= I had a long week, full of work, and wanna sleep early tonight.

July 11th, 2014 7:14 PMCycloneSo let me understand. Am I receiving the Sturdy one for an Egg Move one, or am I retaining the Egg Move one, breeding a Sturdy female (this could take a long time if my Eevee experience tells you anything, but I lucked out on Egg #5 earlier), and then breeding another to get the 5IVs, then breeding THAT with the Egg Move specimen and in-breeding from there to get the 5IV with Egg Moves?
I'm all right with that, if so. In fact, I'd like to get one of those. -
July 11th, 2014 7:08 PMCycloneIf you have a Sturdy one, sure.
I haven't moved your Butterfree to my Bank yet. I just finally caught both HA Pokémon from the "breeding challenge bonus rounds" (which in fact required zero breeding, just catch the HA from a horde). Took me three or four hours. Oye. I needed a break. -
July 11th, 2014 6:57 PMPolar SpectrumIiiii - totally have a sturdy female. :P I'll swap you a sturdy one with whatever IV's come up for one of your IV'd ones with egg moves?
-
July 11th, 2014 6:34 PMCycloneSturdy is the HA from the Dream World. It does not have a Safari or a horde, so cannot be caught in Kalos.
Of course, if you get a Sturdy female, go nuts breeding Egg Moves to get a Sturdy one. :) -
July 11th, 2014 6:33 PMPolar SpectrumWoo - I'll take that gladly, Brine is something I've been trying to use effectively. No sturdy ones though? Both those other abilities are still quite nice - either once can be used :3
-
July 11th, 2014 3:47 PMCycloneWould you like a Relicanth with the Egg Moves Agility and Brine? :)
Eggs hatched both ways, coming out as both Swift Swim and Rock Head; the latter was the breeding challenge today. I think that thread is finished now, so to speak. -
July 10th, 2014 9:40 AMCycloneToday's breeding challenge:
Spoiler:
If that's of interest, I can breed more. The challenge one was Naive, but I can remove the Everstone. The challenge was Dry Skin, but it could be Sand Veil. IVs are not bred, but I can get a 5IV male and breed it with that. What's your pleasure? :)
Glare causes paralysis, if you didn't know. -
July 9th, 2014 7:56 PMPolar Spectrumo.o
