December 5th, 2008 10:19 PMThraceHey ^^
Got any articles for RHN? -
October 23rd, 2008 1:17 AMThraceHahahaha, doing fewer subjects will turn out to be a good thing, especially in year 13. God I envy the people that only have to do one exam at the end of the year.
I was hoping for short points like in the Pros but its ok, I'll turn them into points myself.
I'll stop pestering you so you can get some sleep now. Good Luck for tomorrow! :D -
October 23rd, 2008 1:10 AMRipperIt's because the game was just so gosh darn great :P Okay... I'll PM you the 'cons'.
Cambridge does have a few different subjects, but generally that's only because it's offered around the world. For instance they offer Hindi (2nd Language) and Child Development to name a few. Our school doesn't actually let us do them though :P The other differences are that some subjects are broken up into smaller subjects whereas others are combined. English is Literature and Language where as Calc and Stats all come under plain old Mathematics. Unfortunately we're only offered the option of doing four subjects at 6th and 7th form level so that limits our options by a fair bit.
Right now I'm not doing any hacking due to exams but I am will continue to hack afterwards. I'll probably release a beta of Frontier soonish, a game which just showcases some skills as it really is just an edit of FR. For DNA I'll be releasing a beta with a fair bit of gameplay in it soonish as well. Orange won't have any releases for a while however. Anyway, off to bed for me, exam tommorow. -
October 23rd, 2008 12:58 AMThraceWow, thats great! I wish my school offered Cambridge Exams, thought I doubt I would do well in any except Calculus. Do you take different classes then? Literature isn't an NCEA subject.
13th of November? Man, you're lucky. But I guess when exams end for me I won't have anymore school exams for the rest of my life. :P
Btw, could you PM me what the Cons were? You've just copied and pasted the Pros.
Also, your Signature says you're working on a few hacks. Is that true or is that just a really old signature? -
October 23rd, 2008 12:09 AMRipperI'm at Westlake BHS which is just a bit north or Auckland Grammar. There are a couple of other schools around NZ that offer it too. Our school offers both, but only the top students are allowed to do cambridge as its more demanding than NCEA. We only had to go to school for the 1st week of this term and after that we were off :D I've actaully got a Literature exam tommorow which I'm currentyly sort of studying for. But my last exam is on the 13th of november and then I'm done for the year :)

October 22nd, 2008 11:17 PMThraceWow, Cambridge Exams? Thats very impressive. Do you go to er... Auckland Grammer (I think)? Or do other schools use that system too?
-
October 22nd, 2008 10:20 PMRipperAh, maybe. Your email address did seem vaguely familiar. And yeah, one should be negatives, your hack wasn't completely perfect :P Next time I won't bother with the word art crap as you'll edit it anyway I'd imagine, so that way I can PM it to you.
I'm still at High School, but as I do Cambridge Exams I'm off for the rest of the year on study :D -
October 22nd, 2008 8:41 PMThraceI think you must have added me a while ago because I didn't get a request when I logged in today. You seem to have two boxes for positives, did you want one box with negatives? Also could you PM me it next time? I very rarely check my e-mail.
And yeah I am, this is my last year. :D -
October 22nd, 2008 2:01 PMRipperHey D, I added you on MSN. I've emailed you my review, it's on a word document. There are no viruses :P
You'll probably end up editing it so that it looks fine on the Newsletter, what with all the CSS and that.
Oh hey, are you still at school? -
October 3rd, 2008 11:20 PMThraceSorry I forgot to reply. If you could get that in ASAP that would be great. In future just PM me any articles you've done.
-
September 27th, 2008 8:10 PMThraceFair enough.
I'm from Wellington, what about you? -
September 27th, 2008 8:04 PMRipperOh by the way, where in NZ are you from?
-
September 27th, 2008 8:03 PMRipperI'll leave the reviews alone this week unless you're in dire need of one. There really aren't that many out there worth reviewing at the moment and the reviewees would receive unfair scores.
-
September 27th, 2008 7:58 PMThraceOk thats fine, so you don't want to do a review either?
-
September 27th, 2008 7:53 PMRipperEverything I was looking at doing seems to be thoroughly covered so far. I was planning for next issue (6) a run down on the current situation with tool for Diamond and Pearl.
