October 22nd, 2016 11:41 AMAisuHowdy there partner. Mostly thinking about life, but I've managed to squeeze some writing in edgewise. You?
-
October 22nd, 2016 4:49 AMBardothrenHowdy Aisu! How've you been lately?
-
October 5th, 2016 4:23 PMAisuYeah, I feel you there :P
-
October 5th, 2016 3:47 PMBardothrenYep, but I think it'll work nicely. I'm in the mood for some ham after all the dark, dreary stuff I've been writing.
-
October 5th, 2016 3:15 PMAisuYou're idea was pretty hammy though
-
October 4th, 2016 6:05 PMAisuI'm ace at presentation; not so much payout. Legit I only remembered that thing on Saturday and I managed a solid two pages.
-
October 4th, 2016 5:09 PMBardothrenAh, that works. Nice presentation, by the way.
I haven't even started on that fiction draft yet... I got swamped at work :| I have brainstormed out the plot of it, however, and I should have the time this weekend to sit down and plow through it. -
October 4th, 2016 4:43 PMAisuI'd like to tell you a very interesting story involving self-discovery, a buxom travelling companion, lessons never learned, a "heart sundae," and a hearty taste for gold and adventure - not exactly in that order - but my name just means "ice" bro.
-
October 4th, 2016 4:25 PMBardothrenAh, excellent question! It's the name of the main character in my first novel. Since then I've been using it as my username.
That novel was awful, by the way. I had no concept of character growth or conflict at the time, and the main character was a super-powered magical badass.
And where do you get your name from? -
October 4th, 2016 2:24 PMAisuWhat is a "Bardothren" or just what does your username mean? I dunno why I'm asking, I was just sitting in class procrastinating and it started bothering me :P lol
-
September 7th, 2016 2:06 AMBardothrenHe-he, I felt like keeping it simple for this one. The simpler the plot is, the easier a time I'll have writing a fun character.
-
September 6th, 2016 5:58 PMAisuStory plot: Delving into ancient ruins on a remote, desolate island, navigating traps and pitfalls, and finding treasure the likes of which have never been seen before, all to pay off a college debt! (at least for now)A-1 ham my friend

August 25th, 2016 6:27 PMAisuI mean...it's not a RACE or anything lol, but yeah pick up the pace or eat my dust
-
August 25th, 2016 5:55 PMBardothrenHmm... I'm not a fan of proofreading either, but at the same time, there's a joy at seeing your writing get better with time and finding better ways to tell the story. For example, I thought my first story was pretty good when I wrote it, but now, I absolutely despise it and think I did it all horribly wrong. I've found that the best way to get better at writing is to give and receive criticism, and the more sound, well thought-out, constructive input you get, the better, so I like to pick apart stories and show what works/doesn't work both for my own sake and for others.
And wow, you're up to seven pokemon stories? I better pick up my pace then :D -
August 25th, 2016 5:44 PMAisuLemme pretend for a minute that you didn't just peck my bones dry... No srsly I do thank you for taking time and writing all that even though I didn't ask. I can answer most of your criticism with three words: I hate proofreading. Well, not all the time, because I do skim for spelling/grammar mishaps, but for the most part I hate it...eighty percent of the issue there. The other twenty percent, you mentioned the writing wasn't as good as Revolution, that's 'cause each of my pokemon stories (seven I think) have a different writing style :P
