June 3rd, 2009 7:09 AMArtemisNot really, I had thought so too before I did it, but if you read it right and maybe watch how people do it on Youtube, then it just grows easy on you.
-
June 2nd, 2009 10:06 PMlilninjapigMaybe I will soon. :) Isn't it hard to EV train though?
-
June 2nd, 2009 4:58 PMArtemisCongratulations. Also, yes I was being serious about that. I say you should look into it, learn how it all works and give it a try.
-
June 2nd, 2009 11:54 AMlilninjapigLol, you think so? I don't EV or IV train, so I'd have a lot to learn...right now it's just a hobby, but who knows in the near future I may train a Pokemon or two to be great...
In Diamond, Magby evolved, Grotle evolved AND Luxio evolved :D -
June 2nd, 2009 9:45 AMArtemisWell then, looks like you're setting up pretty well then...You can definitely make a really well competitive player, and I suggest looking more into it.
-
June 2nd, 2009 6:58 AMlilninjapigI think I'm gonna go with Gallade because it has TWO useful fighting types, instead of just Fire (Staraptor covers taking down Grass and Bug, so no need for a Fire type).
-
June 2nd, 2009 4:30 AMArtemisCongratulations on your catch with Scyther. It really doesn't matter what Pokémon you choose to complete the Elite as all in-game team works perfectly fine.
-
June 1st, 2009 10:22 PMlilninjapigFlash, do you reckon I should catch a Ponyta or Ralts for a Rapidash and Gallade?
To round out my future Pearl team of: Empoleon/Roserade/Staraptor/Mismagius/Golem
I think I should go with Gallade because I haven't got a Fighting or Psychic type. -
June 1st, 2009 10:13 PMlilninjapigI caught one, xP
Used Elekid to paralyze him and somehow I got him down to like 1HP with a Critical Hit. :D Used 3 Great Balls, all of them broke before the first shake, and I knew that it wouldn't catch. Scyther killed Elekid, so I bought out Floatzel, one Great Ball, and the Scyther was caught ;D -
June 1st, 2009 5:03 PMArtemisI know so, just for reassurance on that one. ;)
-
June 1st, 2009 2:11 PMlilninjapigI hope so. :)
-
June 1st, 2009 2:06 PMArtemisThere are always more opportunites, and I'm sure you'll succeed in catching one soon enough.
-
June 1st, 2009 1:56 PMlilninjapigDefinitely not giving up, I'll resume my training tomorrow. Unfortunately the only status move I seem to own is Shock Wave on Elekid which also deals damage so it's a bit of a risky move...probably didn't help that I also tried to catch one at Night, when they are really rare in the grass. Just annoying because I wanted to catch it tonight so I could head for Crasher Wake tomorrow. With school back on I can't play all day now, so I'd rather of caught it tonight, but oh well. xP
-
June 1st, 2009 1:52 PMArtemisI hope you're not giving up on them as yet though. You should definitely try weakening it, and putting a status problem on it, it'll highten your chances.

June 1st, 2009 1:37 PMlilninjapigMy luck changed quickly...spent over an hour looking for a male Scyther, found two female ones, then used a pokeball, a heal ball AND 3 great balls on a Male one and none of them caught it.
