May 1st, 2015 6:22 AMPendraflareSure! And I hope you enjoy. (:
And allow me to redirect you to the Challenges forum, if you're curious as to some of the other ways to play that people here have thought of. -
April 30th, 2015 5:24 PMAquaMarine8Awesome, thanks! I'll start reading it tomorrow, as I'm about to wind down and get off of the internet. I'm looking forward to it!
Aside from Monotypes and Nuzlockes, what other types of challenges are there? Just curious, since those are the only two that I'm aware of. I'm a noob when it comes to stuff like this. xD -
April 30th, 2015 5:08 PMPendraflareHere you go! I tried to make it really funny, and actually have played well in advance so i'm way ahead of where i've posted to. Right now I haven't posted much, but that's because I can only have two challenge threads open at a time and I had been in the middle of two, one of which I finished posting on my birthday.
And a Water Monotype? That sounds like you, haha. And I can assure you that there are several other people who likely cringed when they first read the Nuzlocke rules, myself included. :P But it's something i've really come to like. Although Monotypes can still be fun too. -
April 30th, 2015 5:00 PMAquaMarine8Oh, very nice! So we're both on our fifth play through of it. :) Could you provide me the link to where you're documenting it on Marriland? I'd like to take a look, if you don't mind. ^^
That's cool. I've never actually done a challenge before, but I think on my next play through, I'm going to do a mono-type challenge with Water Pokemon. I'm quite looking forward to it, actually. I'm too wimpy to do a Nuzlocke. xD -
April 30th, 2015 4:41 PMPendraflareI don't think that sounds weird, there are people who pay attention to Pokémon stories. Some people don't, but I too am one who tends to play through the games multiple times, but there are a couple save files that i've had for long amounts of time. I have played X and Y at least ten times in total, and am currently on my fifth play with Omega Ruby, which I am documenting on Marriland.
I remember being native to Trade Corner back in early 2014, but i'm not quite as active there right now. I'm mostly someone who does fun playthroughs (like challenges), so I do play through multiple times, usually with different teams. -
April 30th, 2015 3:56 PMAquaMarine8Nice! I love it when it's like that. ^^
Wow! I've never been a breeder, but that's impressive. I know it sounds weird, but...I actually do like the stories that Pokemon offer. So I tend to be more of a player that goes through the story mode again and again rather than anything else. I don't know what this says about me, but that's how I am. xD I'm playing through Omega Ruby for the 5th time, now. It never gets old. -
April 30th, 2015 3:16 PMPendraflareI'd imagine you enjoying something like that. That was what our hotel was like when we were there this year, the pool and beach were within walking distance.
And I was quite into breeding back when XY were new, in late 2013 and early 2014, so I have quite a few Pokémon with 31 IVs in all important stats on my main copy of X. I even got a shiny Noibat with the Masuda Method, and have well over 150 that I got from that alone. xP -
April 30th, 2015 3:13 PMAquaMarine8That sounds very nice. We had a vacation like that once, and actually it was in Siesta Key. It was awesome.
I have done Wonder Trade once, and ended up getting something awesome from it...I can't quite remember what it was, but it had a good moveset, too. I should do it more often. I just feel bad because I have nothing worth a darn to trade back, haha.
Edit: Added ya. :) -
April 30th, 2015 2:35 PMPendraflareI might have gone to Myrtle Beach, but I don't remember, since it's been so long since. x_x But I do remember that most times we would reside in a house where the beach was in walking distance, and that was pleasant.
And speaking of 3DS FCs and online, have you ever played around with Wonder Trade? I wasn't too much into it when XY were new but I have since came to enjoy it a bit more in newer times. -
April 30th, 2015 1:47 PMAquaMarine8Wow! That's a long time. I would love to go to North Carolina. Have you ever been to Myrtle Beach? =o I want to go there, especially!
Oh, thanks for letting me know! ^^ I was hoping someone would add me. I'll add you back asap. :) -
April 30th, 2015 8:23 AMPendraflareGlad you're enjoying that! We have relatives here in Pennsylvania, but mostly my grandparents. And we've been to North Carolina in the summer multiple times, mostly at younger ages, to the Outer Banks, but we haven't vacationed there in almost a decade. We did pass through NC when we went to Charleston in late 2012, though.
And on a different note, I added your Friend Code to my 3DS, if that's alright with you. (: Mine is 0619-4289-2312, if you'd like it. -
April 30th, 2015 6:53 AMAquaMarine8That's good, at least you're not too spread out. :) All of my family lives here in Florida.
It's nice here right now, too. Breezy, and the high today I think will be 79 degrees which is perfect for me. No humidity. ^^ -
April 29th, 2015 6:09 PMPendraflareThey don't live there, but they have been visiting there on more than one occasion. One side of cousins live in North Carolina, the other in Washington DC. And my parents live in western PA, where my sister went to college.
And I too do like hot weather, but yeah humidity does get arduous. I like that it's quite nice right now, though. -
April 29th, 2015 5:15 PMAquaMarine8That sounds lovely. I love family get-togethers. ^_^ It must be nice to vacation with them. Or do they live there?
Wow! What a pain. But yes, I agree. The snow is a beautiful thing. I saw it once when we went to Maine and it was so much fun. But as I've grown older, I've realized that I prefer the hot weather. Humidity, though.....humidity suuucks. -
April 29th, 2015 5:04 PMPendraflareA lot of the time when we'd go to Siesta Key, my grandparents and cousins would be there, so it was a nice chance to visit them.
Although admittedly when we came home it wasn't as bad as we had heard, but the car we took to the airport was covered in snow, and so were a few others. And the cold is something i'm not exactly big on either. But admittedly I think seeing snow can be pretty.
