Politicians are trash lol. Democracy would work better if they were more loyal to their voters, but corporate interests take priority, and its impossible to contract with voters because politicians do not know any personally, or who voted for them.

I think they are just crazy in a different way. I love my history teacher, but he is crazy in a good way. But my english teacher is crazy in a bad way.

Speaking of teachers, my spanish teacher literally called me out in class for not talking enough. Holy crap, Im just a quiet person and i dont like the class, which reduces my chances of talking even more! And speaking in spanish is my weak point (I'm strong in read, writing, and okay at listening), so I do not like embarrassing myself in front of others. And I have it first thing in the morning, so what does she expect lol.

Politicians are all good at playing people, it's part of the job haha

All teachers are insane, don't worry about it.

True. Bernie has played it well too, if that is his intention (idk if it is or not, or if its just convenient for him).

Ill have so much fun at school. Im leaping with joy lol. My English teacher is going insane with stuff right now.

It's not hard to follow the trends and play on the fears and dislikes of the public. Don't give the man more credit than he's due.

    Something like that haha

    Tough luck :P
    Have fun

Trump is brilliant. He is not stupid by any measure; in fact I think its proven that he has a very high iq (i forget how tho lol). He is a very good demagogue. His border policies really appeal to people tired of liberals or the events happening in Europe. Surprisingly, he actually has a huge Latino base and attracts many people from different socio-economic classes.

I guess! That makes me unique haha.

Ugh. School is back in session. ;(

It's to drown out the people speaking sense, I'm sure you've seen Trump employing this tactic in his campaign haha.

    Strange makes you interesting :P
    Regular people are boring.

Couldn't agree more on all counts!

Idk why, its like in their nature or something lol.

"You're a strange guy" Thank you? :P its ok, I know i have an odd mix of interests and stuff. Saving is the key to success- thats how my dad got through college and stuff.

Life would be terrible if everyone only mixed with their own groups. At least for me because there are like 2 Christian Voluntaryists on this planet lol. Regardless, there wouldnt be a spread of ideas or anything.

Closing yourself off to different people because of political or religious views is ridiculous. You close doors, limit yourself, etc. If i did this, i wouldnt be talking to you either!

I have actually heard things like that people shouldn't be friends with people who would force you to abide by their policies. For example, not be friends with a Republican who wants to force you to pay for his wars or a neo-liberal who wants to make you pay for corporate interests. But that is dumb- you should be friends with whomever you want! I think that applies with debate tho- the person with the gun in the room loses the battle of ideas.

Mean people are just the loudest.

You're a strange guy, but it's good that you're conservative with your money.

That's very true, I try to apply a similar approach to people. I talk to you after all! :P

I know you have a lot of criticisms of him, I've heard most of them haha! It's nice to know there's more people out their who can seperate people from their ideologies though. The world would be a better place if more people did that.

We get people from up north ("snow birds") and everyone here hates them lol. They can't drive and are jerk to everyone. Also they double the population making everything take longer. Im sure some are nice people, but you only ever see the mean ones.

Im not really into spoiling her. I think its the nice thing to pay for her meal, but I do not have the urge to spoil (maybe once its official). But I try to spend as little money as possible, so I do not think I would want to. I would only spoil her with money I set aside for dating or something, but never going outside of that budget.

Well... If i hated everyone without the same political ideology as me, I would have no friends. There is no reason not to be friends with another person. Its like not being friends with someone because of skin color. It doesnt matter- we are all people and we should celebrate our differences.

I have a lot of criticisms of Sanders, but I like him as a person. And I like some of the things he stands for, like workers buying out a failed business saying "let us try it." I forget the term for it though, but Sanders supports stuff like that. I think if a business fails, the workers should try and employ themselves and run the business. Or if there is a mean business owner, the workers can also buy out the company (I know there have been a few instances of this, but I can't cite any).

People everywhere are super impatient. That's not unique to your city.

There's a difference between her asking for things constantly and you wanting to spoil her. She doesn't have to be a gold digger to make you want to do nice things. My last girlfriend was always on at me about not spoiling her but I did it anyway because it was something I felt compelled to do.

Never thought I'd hear you say something nice about a socialist. haha

True, and ignoring the negative effects, where I live, people honk a split second after the light turns green. People here are super impatient!

Well I dont want to spoil her... I want to avoid buying material things (other than food), and if she starts asking for those, I'm breaking up because I do not want the relationship to become me buying her crap. There are a lot of girls like that in my school, and there are only a few that aren't so material, but I think this girl isn't thankfully.

The elections in the US are going to suck this year. Our choices now (including the libertarian candidates) are: lying, crazy woman, obnoxious man, a man who wants to make sand glow in the dark, a stoner, a LINO, and a jerk. Bernie is the only one without personality issues lol.

I would argue a phone at a stoplight still isn't a great idea and neither is drinking and then driving even if you're still sober because it'll still have an effect xD

    Who knows haha
You should remember though that as much as you want to spoil her it's totally okay to do free things too. Sometimes that can be even more fun.

Thats what I meant- the abuse of phones and alcohol. Phones at stoplights and alcohol without getting drunk aren't necessarily bad. Probably not preferable, but it wont kill you.

Thanks! xD Idk how many dates I can sustain with my money "reserves" though lol. I should be good once I get a job if we only go to cheaper restaurants, which is preferable anyways (in my opinion, local places/cheap chain restaurants have good food for the price). But this is assuming it works out. If it does, Ill probably be more social because she has a really outgoing personality, almost the bounce off the walls type but a lot more controlled. So maybe it will be good for me?

I would argue it's stupidity that counteracts them, mobile phones and booze aren't inherently bad but people misuse them.

It's a start! Good luck to you!

At least cars are getting safer and stuff, but cell phones and drinking sort of counteract the safer cars lol.

You can't learn everything from books and school. Experience is what really counts.

He has really popularized Democratic Socialism, but he seems to be more for redistribution than for pure socialism. Which might be slightly better than pure socialism because it avoids a lot of calculation issues.

So I sorta asked a girl out and we are going to see a movie tomorrow! I was planning on asking her out anyways, but my friends did it as an April fools prank, but it ended up working out. She said we would go as friends, but I do not know if her parents filter her texts or not because she seemed really excited. I have to be careful because her mom is the principal and her dad teachers at our school lol. And I work with her dad on a project...
