June 22nd, 2015 11:20 AMqueeniewolfHaha yeah, it does have accents over a few letters but nothing too crazy! I never studied French but I think it has like at least 3 different kind of accents/symbols they put on vowels? Italian spelling isn't that complicated luckily :)
That's really cool! I looked into Japanese a little bit when I was in secondary school but I hardly remember anything ... I have a few friends who study it at university, though! From what I hear from them it's really quite a handful so go you!! :D
And I totally agree, languages are really fun hehe I'm also studying Finnish as part of my degree which is ... different, but super interesting! My Finnish competence is a lot poorer than my Italian one though haha also you get a lot of stereotypical metal fans who got into Finnish through music which is quite funny. In my first year Finnish course I had a coursemate who was doing a degree called Viking Studies. Now if that isn't cool
... I actually quite enjoyed Latin back in school :P ... but it was really annoying when other (non-latin) classmates would go "Latin must be so easy. All you do is translate." IT'S NOT THAT EASY AT ALL -
June 22nd, 2015 11:03 AMbill flibbyAha. Well, I wasn't too far off. I'm not really that familiar with Italian at all. Does it have the cool accent marks over some letters in some words, or is that mostly French and Spanish? I'm studying Japanese, myself. Kiiind of difficult, with English being my native tongue, but learning languages is fun. Except Latin >_> That one's no fun.

June 22nd, 2015 10:48 AMqueeniewolfHey!
Haha good guess, but not quite right :P I'm here because I study Italian so it's actually part of my degree to live abroad for a while to practise our language. I've been doing mainly language/linguistics based courses ... but I could imagine art courses here are great. Maybe I should've taken one hmmm -
June 22nd, 2015 10:29 AMbill flibbyYou said you've only been studying in Italy for about five months. Do you mind my asking what it is you're there for? I wanna say art, because that seems a pretty good guess.
