September 20th, 2016 2:45 PMJohnnyIt's a great show! There's no dragons and stuff, but fun still :p

September 20th, 2016 1:59 PMJunoYeah, I hear you, to each their own! Homeland is probably something I'll have to add to the list, when I'm looking for a longer show to keep up with.

September 19th, 2016 7:45 PMJohnnyYeah, Eleven was... something :p
Now that you mention the suspense, I'll compare it to 'Homeland' a show that in my opinion, relied on suspense to make it interesting. Every new episode of the show was a whole idea, had a different issue, goal, plot twists were to be expected and they were good without being overused. I guess that is more of my cup of tea :p -
September 19th, 2016 7:16 PMJunoYes! I also really liked that the kids were like kids - very believable dialogue and actions (I mean, not some of the stuff Eleven does but she's a special case, lol). But yeah, I can definitely see how it can be a bit slow to start, but there was usually enough suspense in each episode to keep me watching.

September 19th, 2016 6:58 PMJohnnyYeah, that last season of Game of Thrones it'll be hardly matched by any show.
That's exactly what I think about the show, actually. We discussed this on the Discord server with maccrash and some others. I'm hoping it'll pick up on the second season, I always like to finish what I start watching anyway. I think a perfect example of a show that picked up later is 'The Flash'. The first 16 episodes were awfully boring IMO, but ended up getting pretty interesting.
I think my main issue with 'Stranger Things' is that it felt like a long episode instead of a whole season. Some people seemed to have liked the fluidity of the show though, maybe it's just that I get too impatient with storyline haha. (The reason why I tend to watch show when they're already finished, actually). If I were to criticize it as a professional critic I'd say only good things about it though; character development was great, specially how they managed to tell the story from the perspective of a group of kids and make it interesting without giving unbelieveable intelligence to them. It really felt like an everyday story and the folks acted like the average person too. That said, as a tv-shows enthusiast, I didn't enjoy the season as much as I did with other shows. -
September 19th, 2016 6:47 PMJunoHaha, it was no epic Game of Thrones saga, but I liked it well enough! :P For its first season I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume a lot of these loose ends will be wrapped up eventually, but I thought it was pretty good. Why weren't you that into it?

September 19th, 2016 6:44 PMJohnnyYeah I noticed! I like to do that as well, but I am too lazy for my own sake.
Also, really digging that Stranger Things caption, Although I don't like the show as most people do -
