September 5th, 2016 10:46 AMSonicZ16Ugh, I know Samus isn't that bad, but I just can't get behind her moveset. It's not her, it's me! -_- But anyway, yeah, the Blue Mario outfit was in every Smash game except Smash 4. I just play regular Mario now.
...And while I would love to educate you on the many wonders of FF1, I don't have the time to type a giant fortress of text right now. But in short, It allows so much freedom in your character choice. You can pick any combination of 4 classes, name them anything you want, and the game is always beatable, no matter what, guaranteed. 4 Mages? Yup. A Thief, a Monk, and 2 Healers? You betcha. A solo Warrior? Go nuts! It's charming in that sense.
While I'm not quite open at this very moment, I will be pretty soon. Maybe like, 30 more minutes? I'll tell you when. If I don't respond by 3PM EST, then that means something happened and it'll have to wait till' tomorrow, but I don't think that'll happen. -
September 5th, 2016 9:48 AMKy0greK1ngHahaha {XD} You said it!
Aww, Samus isn't that bad... Although I am iffy about Palutena. That was my favorite Mario outfit--the one in Melee right (I can't remember if it was in Brawl)? Now, I stick to the Wario one... How about you?
Three o'clock EST? Yeah, that'll actually work out better... My brother is on the Wii U. :P
What do you like so much about Final Fantasy? ;)
EDIT: Just say the word when you're ready and I'll get my Wii U on. -
September 5th, 2016 7:34 AMSonicZ16The 3DS version's online is actually pretty notorious for being Brawl levels of terrible. :P Not to mention the overall less-skilled players compared to Wii U.
Samus and Palutena, I can't play to save my life. Palutena even more so. Ah, and I totally understand the outfits thing! I always used the red and blue swap color for Mario in previous games, but they replaced it in favor of Baby Blue and Pink in Smash 4 and now I'm sad. :(
Assuming you're actually in the EST time zone, it appears to be +2 hours from where I'm at, so... Would it alright to move to around 3 or so?
Smash Bros is one game, but the game I can ramble on for hours about, is Final Fantasy 1, my favorite game of all time! Just a word of advice, Don't ever get me started talking about FF1 or you will be there for a long time. {XD} -
September 5th, 2016 6:34 AMKy0greK1ng:) Honestly, the 3DS version isn't that bad. It's just a lot harder to use perfect pivots and stuff like that... Also, and this just might be me and my Internet, but I rarely find a non-laggy match when I go online. Since I don't use the online much, I keep my 3DS on update 1.1.4, so I can enjoy using overpowered Bayonetta. :p
I can play just about anyone too (except for Yoshi, Bowser Junior, and Wii Fit Trainer). My favorites are Link, Ness, and Ganondorf! The reason I don't 'main' random is because I like to use my characters in my 'main outfit,' and random doesn't let you choose your outfit...
If you're talking eastern timezone (EST), then one and two actually work out perfectly.
I always write long VMs--especially when it comes to Smash Bros since I can really ramble on about that game. {XD} Unlike the previous Smash games, I dislike the items and gimmicky stages here. I've played over 11,000 matches on one-verse-one For Glory, and not a single free-for-all match... I guess I'm neither casual or competitive, just a dedicated For Glory dude, but I'd be leaning towards competitive if anything. -
September 4th, 2016 9:33 PMSonicZ16No worries, I totally understand. ;) And of course I'm fine playing on the Wii U, it's the only version I have! {XD} (though to be perfectly honest, the 3DS version seems pretty cool and I still want it :()
As for third mains, Nope, just Mario and Corrin. But I do have this weird gift of being able to play almost any character in the entire roster somewhat efficiently. I could be a decent random main if I really tried! (maining random is actually a thing if you didn't know!)
But anyway, times... I don't really know. Almost anytime is fine with me, my schedule is pretty flexible. Does around 1 or 2 PM sound good to you? You know, assuming time zones aren't a major factor here.
I know this got pretty long for a VM, but I gotta ask, How do you prefer to play? Casual, Competitive, or a little bit of both? I'm fine with whatever, I mainly play competitive 1v1, but I play classic all the time so I'm used to items and free-for-alls. Just wanted to know what you thought! -
September 4th, 2016 5:59 PMKy0greK1ngI got busy today {XD} Will there be any good times for you tomorrow? Also, you're fine playing on the Wii U, right? 3DS Smash just isn't the same... :p
Do you have any third mains, to go along with Mario and Corrin? -
September 4th, 2016 7:06 AMSonicZ16What Nah said, pretty much. :P I'd love to play Smash Bros whenever you're up to it! (and I'm available {XD})
