Yup I got to see the peak :) Not very dark, but a very interesting shade of blue! I was in 90% totality. And it did get cooler! It was sooo nice for those 10 minutes lmao

What was the eclipse like for you? Were you watching during the peak of the eclipse and how dark did it get? Did you notice a drop in temperature at all? o:

I didn't see the eclipse. : ( I may have been asleep while it happened, not sure.. but I didn't have the protective eyewear everyone was talking about either. :P Apparently this was the first solar eclipse to be seen in the U.S since 1979 or something like that which is pretty cool. I really feel like I missed out though. =(

Lol yeah, I discovered Jmusic through anime too. And I still like a fair amount of anisong, character songs, bands/artists that make almost exclusively anime songs, and anime only groups like Muse from Love Live and Milky Holmes.
I feel the same about the buried treasure thing!! I spent so many happy hours discovering new music. It was the best.
Yes it's quite nice that there is a fair amount of diversity over there, and the oricon charts seem to change a lot. :D

Aww its nice to meet you too! Youre great and I hope you stick around :D

Glass no kaze is a beautiful song, I haven't heard the full album though but that song gives me goosebumps. :)

Woooww, 10 years is a pretty long time.. that's when I first started discovering music for myself. Before then all I really knew was MTV and whatever silly stuff played on the radio, and when I first heard Jmusic I was like omg what is this aaaa. Of course, my first exposure to Jmusic was through anime like everyone else, but when I discovered the actual Jmusic scene I was overwhelmed with excitement, it was like discovering burried treasure. xD No srsly.

I discovered Jpopasia in like 2007, and I would still highly recommend that site. http://www.jpopasia.com/charts/jpop/oricon/ I noticed many years ago that new releases in Japan were constant, while here in the U.S the same song is played over and over again until you get sick of it. Ever thought about that? It's so weird. I think the mainstream music industry here in the U.S is trying to drive us slowly into slow insanity or something with all that vexatious repetition. :D

Yessss Nintendo <3 Those are all really nice relaxing OSTs and I've played all those games! Nintendo soundtracks are pretty relaxing and soothing, good for stress relief as silly as that sounds. :) I also can't stress enough how good the music from the LoZ series is, and Final Fantasy's music is pretty nice too. Mmm low is pretty nice, David Bowie is an interesting one. His tunes make me want to relax and dance at the same time. It's a real shame he's not with us anymore, seems we're losing a lot of great musicians lately actually. =/ I recommend his album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, it's really nice too and ya might like it.

You're pretty cool Noa, glad to meet you. ^^

I love KOTOKO so so so much, my favorite album of hers is glass no kaze and I love all of her anime songs ^_^ I've loved her for 10 years now.
I love all the Pokemon (spinoffs included) and Kirby OSTs, I also love most nintendo osts, especially animal crossing and yoshi games. I also love the music from Sonic.
David Bowieee! I love him! He's one of the few Western artists I really like lol. Low is one of my favorite albums ever!

Glad you like, I forgot some very important ones like Ikimono Gakari, silly me. :D Wow you like Kotoko really?!? I don't know anyone else he even knows who she is! I actually own one of her albums too, "hane". <3

Video game music can be pretty relaxing, and I listen to it occasionally for that purpose. What are your favorite OSTs? :O The rest of those genres you named have their fair share or gems as well and I've been around and heard a bit of everything. :) My taste is also sorta diverse, I love classic American and European acts and such too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYYRH4apXDo

Oh goshh there are so many it's impossible to name them all but...some other Jpop artists I like would have to include Hikaru Utada, Kumi Koda, Namie Amuro, The Sxplay, Yuna Ito, BoA, Mami Kawada, Puffy, Bennie K, Kotoko, Van Tomiko (And Do As Infinity), anything by Tomoko Kawase, Nana Kitade, Aya Kamiki and plenty of others, again in no particular order, just naming some off the top of my head. xD I'm a tiny bit oldschool really. It's pretty hard to list favorites because there are so many great Jpop artists out there, like the diversity is pretty insane when you think about it, and there are so many incredible musicians and bands over there. I'm actually pretty surprised Jmusic isn't appreciated more than it is in the states like Kpop is, considering that there's so much talent and variety. I also like some of those adorable idol groups like Morning Musume, AKB48, Arashi, Berryz Kobo, C-ute, and others that are pretty good. It's hard to keep up with all of the constant new releases though, so I tend to miss out on a lot. :( What about you? And so sorry for the massive block of text. x[
