    Exactly. The US sucks with disabilities. We get mistreated all of the time. In fact, I went to a hospital for chest pain a long time ago. The nurse was ignorant. Because I was terrified of needles and IVs, she wanted to have TWO SECURITY GUARDS hold me down to get the IV in. That's not how you deal with someone who's screaming bloody murder and melting down in fear. My mom, my visiting aunt and I ended up having to walk out by refusing treatment because of it. This nurse also had the nerve to say that I couldn't be very autistic because I was able to speak. Like, does she not know that autism is a spectrum and that not every person with it is the same? -_____-;

    I think you might be right. The only insight I have into what it's like in you country is from an online friend. He has Crohns Disease and they keep putting him on waiting list after waiting list whenever he has a problem. And I swear they have him waiting longer than if he was in the UK.

    I don't really know. I mean, I just know they treat us better than they do in the US. It's not so much attitude-wise. Like, for example, if I was to go to the hospital for some reason or whatever... they wouldn't overlook it. I always just figured the UK takes disability more seriously than how the US does. (I didn't want to broadcast all this in a thread because it sometimes upsets people and what not)
