May 4th, 2014 6:24 PMwaveguidebuizelHey! :D Sorry about my long absence there. Got my laptop back from repairs not too long ago. But... the problem still persists. :/ Anyways, maybe next week? Heh, I haven't touched the game in almost a month now, wow! >_<
How have you been? -
April 26th, 2014 7:53 AMIncinermynIf/when you get on PC again, let me know. I have a modified team I want to test, but I'm tired of doing it against people at random via Battle Spot. It's nothing urgent and you can use any team you want against it. I just need something a little more predictable than Battle Spot, since people's teams are never consistent (given how everything's determined at random).

April 14th, 2014 7:49 AMIncinermynSorry about the jumbled battles last night. I would've used Game Chat, but I was super tired since it was late in my time zone. I'm just a little peeved because I was SO sure my new Mienshao was going to massacre your team. I did some IV breeding lately and got a few Mienshao with perfect Attack and Speed IVs as well as Jolly nature to max out their Speed stat.

April 11th, 2014 2:48 AMIncinermynWell, you're not supposed to keep a laptop plugged in for extended periods of time because it degrades the life of the battery. However, when you're working on AC power alone, that makes your computer dependent on the charger, which makes it work more to keep up its processing speed. I mean, it's like any other machine that uses rechargeable batteries. If you keep it plugged in all the time, it's going to make it work harder and put more strain on the machine. At least that's what I've always been told.

April 10th, 2014 6:41 PMwaveguidebuizelYeah, I tried the vacuum thing, but no dice. Seems to have similar results to compressed air. I guess I'm going to have to take it in for repairs. I may even have to get a new laptop, but I'll have to somehow fit that with my budget. D: Does using the charger put extra strain on the computer? I guess it could, since it can get pretty hot.

April 10th, 2014 8:04 AMIncinermynIt doesn't hurt to vacuum them out once in a while, though it isn't a sure fix. My last computer's fan USED to run constantly and it scared me for a while, but I also was running it on the charger since my first battery died years ago and that probably put a lot of strain on the PC in general. I got a new high-capacity battery that elevated the area where the fan and other vents were and it seemed to run quieter (probably because the vents were getting more air). My new laptop is only a few months old, so I'm not worried about any hardware issues yet (I'm pretty fussy with it and try not to let it get mishandled).

April 9th, 2014 9:41 PMwaveguidebuizelYeah, but it has never been this obnoxious before. It's actually scaring me more than it's annoying me, though. Dust seems to be the number one culprit for these situations, at least from what I've seen from help topics around the web. I've tried using compressed air, and that seems to work only for a few minutes. I haven't tried the vacuum idea yet, but I'll have to give that a shot.

April 9th, 2014 3:53 AMIncinermynMmm, the fan is going to make an annoying buzzing sound no matter what from time to time, but it usually stops on my laptop and only happens when it's been on for a while. I have had an issue with my college laptop where the fan stopped working because it was clogged full of dust (the computer repair shop opened it up and found it was completely blocked). For that reason, I generally turn a vacuum attachment over the vents once in a while to make sure they aren't obstructed. A new fan may not even be worth buying since they can be as expensive as a new PC.

April 8th, 2014 8:19 PMwaveguidebuizelYeah, maybe. It might be tough for me though, since I may not have access to my laptop. Maybe. I'm thinking about going to get it fixed (the fan or something else seems to be running really hard lately and making this annoying buzzing noise); I just need to find a time slot that minimizes interference with my work. That's probably the weekend, but who knows how long it'll take to perform diagnostics and repairs. Still, I could be online in my game in any case; we just won't get to communicate when.

April 8th, 2014 3:34 PMIncinermynNext time I'll try to stay on long enough to finish. Perhaps next weekend we can have a multi battle, time permitting.
-
April 7th, 2014 6:22 PMwaveguidebuizelNot a problem, I understand!
-
April 7th, 2014 4:00 PMIncinermyn>.> Eh, sorry about last night. I really was hoping to be done around 9:00PM my time. I didn't mean to butt out so suddenly either.
-
April 6th, 2014 6:28 PMIncinermynYeah, good night.
-
April 6th, 2014 6:28 PMwaveguidebuizelAlright, then good night!
-
April 6th, 2014 6:26 PMIncinermynEh, sorry, I'm going to have to call it a night. Maybe we can try a multi battle another time.
