February 9th, 2014 7:15 PMwaveguidebuizelWow, that's not the reaction I'd expect. But part of the fun in battling is trying to overcome obstacles like that! Training a Zoroark keeps on sounding more and more enticing...

February 9th, 2014 7:00 PMIncinermynI have had people forfeit at least a few times because they couldn't tell when they were fighting Zoroark or a regular Pokémon. It's kind of funny how successful mind games go when people don't know what they're really fighting.

February 9th, 2014 6:54 PMwaveguidebuizelI can't believe I didn't notice the Choice item being used there! And I forgot I had paralyzed Zoroark earlier (I didn't know that was Zoroark until the end). Wow, I'm not as observant as I used to be. >_< Yeah, I was quite flustered when you didn't switch out Zhu Li (and Focus Blast missed as usual). I wanted to take advantage of the Regenerator I traced, but couldn't bring myself to. Man, the psychology involved when Zoroark could be in play...

February 9th, 2014 6:48 PMIncinermynZhu Li also had a Choice Band, which is why I stuck to all those High Jump Kicks. I figured that if anything would wear down your team, that would be it. I was also ready to switch to Saul (my Cobalion) the moment Zhu Li went down since, if nothing else, he puts up a good enough defense to let me get away with one or two Sword Dances before I actually had to attack or be KO'd. I knew you'd be expecting Zoroark too, but since you already paralyzed him, I decided to play a game of "chicken" to see what you'd do if I didn't switch out.

February 9th, 2014 6:42 PMwaveguidebuizelYeah, crazy battle! :D My shinies aren't all that optimum, but they're decent. I made some pretty bad plays with Mega Alakazam, since I kept expecting you to switch into Zoroark to negate my psychic attacks. That psych out! At least I made the correct prediction when you switched into Apollo; that was my biggest worry at the end there. I'd have to say that Zhu Li would be your MVP that battle. Awesome, as I love Mienshao! :P

February 9th, 2014 6:36 PMIncinermynWell, that was intense. I didn't expect it to come down to the wire like that. I was sure you had me the moment you Mega Evolved Alakazam. The fact that I KO'd it kind of surprised me.

February 9th, 2014 6:07 PMIncinermynI'm on whenever you're ready. Just give me a buzz when you have time to battle.

February 9th, 2014 4:11 PMIncinermynOk, that'd be around 8:00PM my time. I'll get back online around then.

February 9th, 2014 4:09 PMwaveguidebuizelHuh, the future of gaming? Yeah, they're widely played, but I don't see it. The audience for those types of games are probably mainly non-gamers, and so they seem transient.
And sure, I'll be up for a battle. :) I'll aim to be on in about two hours. -
February 9th, 2014 3:51 PMIncinermynOh, before I forget... If you have time later tonight, or sometime this week, do you think we could battle? I put together a new-ish team with some of my older Pokémon that I want to try out.

February 9th, 2014 2:33 PMIncinermynMy sister is obsessed with Candy Crush Saga and Fruit (something or other) Saga. Frankly, it bothers me that people say that apps for smartphones and tablets are the way of the future for games when they're barely games to begin with. IMO, the people say that haven't play the 3DS lately, especially with a lot of the games that came out over the last year. Also, the access to older titles via EShop is a nice bonus. I'm not a huge fan of downloading games, but I did spring for a lot of VC titles last summer (namely the Zelda: Oracle games, Zelda: Link's Awakening, and some other titles I never even played for the GBC before).

February 9th, 2014 2:25 PMwaveguidebuizelI think my brother and I are pretty much waiting for the next Super Smash Bros. to come out before we get a Wii U. Mostly him though, since he'll be at home with the console.
The portability of the 3DS is one of my favorite things; it's the main reason I didn't go for the 3DS XL when I first got it. I also think it has a great library, plus you can access some older games through the E-Shop. Smartphone games don't seem all that fun to me. Granted, I don't own one, but they just seem like time wasters for when you're waiting in a waiting room or an airport or something. -
February 9th, 2014 2:15 PMIncinermynI got a lot of use out of mine as well. I'm just not in a rush to get a Wii-U, though, since there aren't a lot of titles I really want for it yet.
The 3DS is a little better, though, because it's portable and still an actual gaming system. I don't like how smartphones are supposedly overtaking it, especially since most of the games on them are comparable to minigames in regular games. -
February 9th, 2014 2:12 PMwaveguidebuizelNow that I think about it, if feels like I played my Gamecube a whole lot more than my Wii as well. Though, that could be due to many factors. I had a lot of fun with both consoles, anyways.

February 9th, 2014 2:03 PMIncinermynYeah, I know how that is. I don't play my Wii nearly as much as I played my GameCube, and my 3DS is almost constantly on whenever I have downtime. The last console game I got WAS Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii (I think I mentioned that).
