August 4th, 2010 12:15 PMSheogorathI said I had an idea, Mr. Paranoid. I didn't say what it was.
For one, I've never heard of such a project. Two, how could it possibly be hard if the regions already exist? I mean, obviously making a brand new one would be hard, but even then it's simple if you know what you're doing and have a few friends to help. -
August 4th, 2010 12:06 PMThe WaveNo you don't.
Because people only thought of just one region pokemon game on the wii. They got lazy of the amount of the work. So they never got to the idea of all regions.
And yeah, it's easy once you've got one region on the wii. But try to make one region at all. Just making a region on the gba already is much more work than you think. -
August 4th, 2010 12:01 PMSheogorathI've a few ideas of where you were, but I can live with that.
I mean who has ever thought about making an all region Pokemon game for the Wii? It's something that could easily be done, really. -
August 4th, 2010 11:53 AMThe WaveBecause I say so.
Homebrew. People are just too lazy to do huge projects like the main Pokemon games. -
August 4th, 2010 11:43 AMSheogorathWhy's that?
Who said anyone's even thought of it, hm? -
August 4th, 2010 11:40 AMThe WaveNo comment.
I never said it isn't. There just aren't much people willing to make the main game with all regions, let alone one region, for the wii. -
August 4th, 2010 11:09 AMSheogorathLike what, might I ask?
It is possible to make a game like that on the Wii, you know. -
August 4th, 2010 11:00 AMThe WaveYep yep.
Of course it still would be great. But eh, we all can dream eh? -
August 4th, 2010 10:55 AMSheogorathMust've been a lot, then.
Well even if it's unnofficial, it'd still be great. I was never trying to imply when or even if they'd work on it. -
August 4th, 2010 10:02 AMThe WaveMainly being very busy with ****.
I'm not saying it's impossible to make the main games on the console. In fact, it's very possible. It's just not likely Nintendo will that. As far as I know, the "closest" console Pokemon games were Colosseum and XD (and maybe the Wii PMD games, since they're a lot like the handheld PMD). Nintendo knows that by just making a remake or a new region and releasing on the DS will make lots lots money. They have no reason yet to make something alike the main games on the console or putting multiply regions together in a game.
So until pokemon dies out for real, which won't happen in years, it's VERY unlikely Nintendo does something like that. -
August 3rd, 2010 8:37 PMSheogorathWhy were you so busy the last 7 months?
What you just said doesn't even make sense. How could a game based on the main series not be like the main series? Here's what I imagine: a game with similar quality to the DS games ported to the Wii for more content. Simple as that. Nothing like Colosseum or XD. -
August 3rd, 2010 11:20 AMThe WaveWhat do you mean?
Exaclty, the main ones. The others on the consoles aren't the main games and not even that close. So in other words, if a game with all regions comes on the console, it wouldn't be like the main game. At. All. -
August 3rd, 2010 11:00 AMSheogorathWhich reminds me... what took you so long?
Perhaps the main ones, but there are several on consoles. -
August 3rd, 2010 10:48 AMThe WaveMaybe. I'm just not playing much lately because of too few time.
Oh, the wii IS surely capable to play Pokemon in 3D. The thing is, Pokemon is known for being a handheld game, and it's more likely that the Pokemon games are made for the handhelds. -
August 3rd, 2010 10:37 AMSheogorathIt did/does to me, but you've still a point.
It makes the time pass faster if you do, in my opinion.
Who said anything about the handheld consoles? I think the Wii'd be perfectly capable of running such a game, if that game were still in 2D. Maybe 3D, but it'd still have to be a top down game.
