If your brother already buys both of them that's great, unfortunately mine (who's younger than me) doesn't play it anymore... So big sister couldn't check whether the game is good or not thanks to him :/
I know but I don't have the Gamecube Joystick, so I couldn't play anyway :/
Oh yes, I had misunderstood, I knew that rule I thought that in the fictions part, is one didn't post during one months in a thread, then they couldn't post anymore at all, even if the thread isn't dead.
Join the club I just don't think that the new games really being anything new to the table. And there's plenty that I don't like about them. But if I get enough birthday money I might just go ahead and get them anyway. Besides, my brother is going to be buying both games, so he can tell me if they're any good
Well, they're for GameCube, and you can play GameCube games on the Wii... the bigger problem would be finding the games. They're 7+ years old and definitely out of print now. I only wish you could play as a girl character in those games - otherwise they'd be my favorite games in the entire franchise
It's probably because I rarely ate out as a kid, and still don't now that I'm back home. Eating out was a special event, so maybe that's why it always tasted better. Or maybe it's because we eat mostly the same stuff all the time. Or maybe I really am just that weird. After all, I came up with a trainer like Lisa
Maybe. My allergies have been known to keep me up at night, and because of that I end up taking long naps during the afternoon. I should try watching shows maybe at night when I can't sleep anyway, lol
It's more or less to keep people from talking about subjects that are old and outdated. If it's a topic that someone really wants to discuss again, they can always create a new thread for it if the old one has gone inactive.
Oh yeah, my parents ae back from their vacation now. It's gotten a bit tougher since I can't microwave my midnight snacks anymore without waking them up - and they get mad when they get woken up.
And one of their hotel rooms on their trip had a filthy, nasty bathtub. I hope my hotel room next month doesn't have a tub that disgusting...
Yeah, it's more or less a time for me to relax - and if I do decide to buy the new Pokemon games, it's going to be during that trip to the city. I think it would be kinda cool having the "Journey Start Date" on your game to be your actual birthday
Actually, the RPG is the bulk of both games. Their battle mode is quite limited in comparison to the RPG. It's pretty much your character recapturing corrupted Pokemon from criminals (yes, you actually get to catch Pokemon from other trainers), putting a stop to their schemes, and "purifying" the corrupted Pokemon you catch.
I can't stand eating home cooked meals everyday, actually xD If I had my way, I'd eat out for every meal, every day xD Microwave meals aren't that great, though, lol
It's more of a problem with me constantly being tired all the time. I get to the point where I want to sit down and watch a few episodes, but all of a sudden I start feeling tired and try to sleep instead... then I end up not being able to fall asleep :/
The rule is that if it's been 30 days or more since a thread was last posted in, you can't post there again. Only exception is the story's author can post a new chapter after 30 days. But other posts like comments wouldn't be allowed after the 30 days.
There was an RPG mode in Colosseum and XD? Oo Sounds great !
What a relief to hear that things got better with them
Eating every day at the restaurant or eating every day micro-wave made food bust be boring in the long run I guess :/ I couldn't stand.
Ah :/ Tbh honest I'm in the almost same situation... I try to watch at least one anime episode a day, after homework to relax. Anyway it doesn't matter, you'll find the time, and if you don't that means you don't really wanna watch them, so don't feel compelled
What's that strange rule? Oo Yes, I'll try to do so then...
Well, since I don't have college, it's hard to find parties at all that aren't at dark smoky bars or for people in their 40's... It's not the same without people in my age group... so I might skip the party and just go for shopping, eating out and relaxing at the hotel.
Yeah, I know... the city's always been bad, but I didn't think that particular neighborhood was like that... it wasn't back when I was young. That Quality Inn doesn't seem like a bad hotel from what I've read online about it, just the neighborhood around it just got worse over the years, I guess...
Yeah, but at least I was able to put together a trainer that looked fairly cute The big problem is not having anything to do with her once I got done making her... I do wish they had an RPG mode in that game like Colosseum or XD.
Things have gotten better with them... in fact they had me get directions for them, look up motels and prices, and look up how much highway tolls would cost. In exchange they're gonna snatch the hotel freebies like pens and stationery for me I'll gladly collect anything with a hotel's logo (Comfort Inn in their case) on it lol
I have this fear of burning myself on the stove, which is why I tend to stay away from it. The microwave is fine, but because I have to bend over the open door of the oven, I'm afraid I'm going to stumble and land right on it. Besides, restaurants make the best food anyway And for the record, Lisa cooks no better than I do lol
I've basically got a lot of anime episodes I haven't watched yet, and I can't seem to find the time to devote to them.
All right, but I'll need your comments posted by the 24th because after that the "30-day no posting rule" goes into effect and then you won't be able to post. So I can stop for now but I'll send a reminder like three or so days before the 24th. Is that okay?
Ha, it's sure that nowadays it's hard to find a party without drinking and all that stuff :/ But you shouldn't mind about that, as long as you decide not to do like all the others.
That's scary O.O My town looks so quiet compared to that one... Must be as violent as Pari's suburbs, maybe more. That's awful...
Customization in Battle Revolution was pretty meh ... It'd have been better if, first of all, every kind of trainers could have every kind of hair and eyes colours...
That'll be great to be alone (with your brother) home :D I deduce you burried the hatchet with your parents? Haha, some are good at cooking some are not... I wasn't good at it neither before, but I trained a lot, and now I can cook. So if I can cook, you can too because my level was very very low x) Burning a house is nothing compared to my former abilities lol
Uh? x) I'm sorry I think, I didn't get your question at all... What did you mean? (about the anime thing)
No don't worry I'm not angry with you. But please try to stop, the more you tell me the less I want to read '
Sure is! Only problem is, without being in college anymore it's hard to find a good one to go to anymore (one without lots of drinking/other weird stuff going on). But I definitely took advantage of the time I *was* in college for Halloween parties xD Even won a few costume contests, which is a nice little extra birthday present
Yeah, and the news reports say he was actually a good kid and *not* one of the gang thugs who usually shoot at each other in the city. It's really unfortunate, though being outside in that part of the city before sunrise probably wasn't a smart move considering how violent the city is. Hopefully I won't run into any sorts of trouble, but then again I intend to be inside the hotel after dark.
I know I'd make mine look as much like Lisa as possible. You could customize trainers to some extent in Battle Revolution for Wii, and I gave my trainer a purple dress, matching hat, and brown hair. Not exactly Lisa, but as close as I could come with the tools available. Unfortunately, that's all you ever do in ihat game - battle. It gets boring after awhile.
Thanks The perfect way to end a hard mission - a costume party
Oh, BTW the parents have left on their little vacation. They're going out to Massachusetts to see sights in and around Cape Cod and Boston. My brother and I are the only ones in the house now so I hope we don't end up burning the place down or something Because as you may know, I'm horrible at cooking stuff xD He's decent, but I'm a whole other story
Well, in reality I'm not too concerned about it since I do have stuff to eat that I can simply microwave. And I'm getting my own vacation in about seven weeks or so lol Won't be as long since I don't have that kind of money, but I'll definitely appreciate the "me" time
And I'm like, so far behind on my anime watching (9 or so episodes spread out over all the series I watch) that it's not even funny. Any advice on catching up on them?
Oh, and we're still "cool", right? I hope my PM's about my story didn't get you angry with me...
Cool, sopunds fun! Usually I go out shopping and eating on my birthday, sometimes with a Halloween party mixed in
I think I'm over the worst of it now, and at least I did find out what it was that set them off... the hamburger buns at Burger King have eggs in them :/
Okay, I'll be looking forward to your full write-up
That city's always been that way, too bad in all these years they've never been able to clean it up. This kid got shot when someone was trying to rob him. He was waiting to buy some expensive Nike athletic shoes... at 4 in the morning. Not a good time to be hanging out anywhere outside in the city with over $200 in your pocket... I know that at 4 in the morning on my trip, I intend to be firmly within the confines of my hotel room.
I know my parents really like to throw my stuff out whenever they can, but all my GBA stuff is in large black vinyl case that says "Game Boy Advance" on the outside, so I don't think they would have thrown that out.
The dressing up part definitely needed improvement (sadly, I don't think the B/W musicals were any improvement; sticking accessories on my Pokemon there still looked like a jumbled mess). But really, we do need something where the trainers dress up - they're the stars of the games, why should the Pokemon have all the fun?
Yeah, but the games are really what I focus on, so her FR/LG outfit is what I associate most with her. I do definitely wish the Pokemon games had been more equal for the girls from the very start; I think it would have been better overall for the series (then again, I don't think I'd want them throwing Leaf into Mt. Silver and giving her a team as horribly weak as you-know-who's team... it would ruin her reputation just as it did his lol). But now I need to find a flux capacitor for that old Delorean I picked up last weekend so I can create my time machine
Okay, so I did mention them that early on... it's been awhile since I've read it, lol
Here it is! Leaf and Lisa head out to a costume party after the events in my story to celebrate their victory, and here are the results
EDIT: Never mind, I think this matter (that was here) is cleared up now.
As far as I've read, yes, it seems there is much action
Oh god :O That's so horrible... I didn't know Rochester was a place conducive to murders and else... It's very sad.
You'll find them the moment you'll expect the least for sure That's always that.
Don't worry that was the same for me x) Dressing up seemed to be very good idea, but finally wasn't. It would have be funnier if it was your trainer that you had to dress up (well, it's a contest, they have to look good too haven't they?).
Surprisingly, I now prefer the former version of Leaf I don't know why... I think PokéSpe convinced me.
Yes I'll come with you to convince GameFreak ! xD
Hmm I think Maxie was mentionned, but that they didn't appear yet.
Sure, no problem So, what did you end up doing today?
I guess they've gotten a bit better... The big red bumps are gone but I still have flaky dry patches that itch badly. I'm hoping that this episode goes away soon, at least.
Oh, awesome! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it! And you'll like to know that it's almost all totally action this time. Car related action, in fact If you've ever wondered how skilled Lisa is behind the wheel, this chapter tells all
Yeah, definitely looking forward to that! I actually like having the DVD's just so I can look at them on my shelf Or watch them when I can't get online or want to do it on something bigger than my tiny laptop monitor. Most dubs (aside from anything Pokemon/4Kids) haven't been too bad, and I'll gladly watch shows either way. Only problem is... there was a shooting and murder this morning at a shopping center about two blocks away from the hotel where I'm planning to stay... not a good sign lol Even when I was living there growing up way back when, Rochester was always a hot spot for homicides. Sad things haven't changed in all those years:/
Somehow I got through them all... don't remember how or with which Pokemon, but I did. Still wish I could find out what happened to it and Emerald (and most of my other GBA games - Leaf Green's my only GBA cartridge that I know where it is). even if I don't want to play them again, I would like to check the save files.
Don't know what went wrong with the contests in D/P... I liked the fact that your trainer dressed up, but the whole "dragging random objects to your Pokemon to dress them up" was horrible and my "creations" always looked like complete messes where you couldn't even see the Pokemon underneath all the accessories xD I never could master that rhythm game either. But I do have five Pokemon prepared in Platinum specifically to master each contest division... I've just been too lazy to do more than one or two of them xD
She looks pretty good, but I do like her FR/LG look better. And if only they would have included that option way back when... then G/S would also have a choice and the final trainer could change (him if you chose Gold/her if you chose Crystal) and the whole "Mt. Silver debate" would not still be going on 10 years later... Okay, time to get working on that time machine so I can go back to 1995-6 and somehow convince GF to put Leaf in the original Japanese games
Hmmm... regarding what we were talking about before regarding Archie and Maxie, I'm not sure if you would have gotten to the point where I first included them though at that point they were both acting as "good guys" and Maxie hadn't revealed his true colors yet But I think that was far enough for you to have read about reformed Giovanni (and Eldes from XD Gale of Darkness, though he was leaning in that direction anyway).
Okay, thanks I do have a couple more pictures of Lisa that artists have done for me, though one I'll have to send by PM for a certain reason... let me know if you want to see them!
Thanks so much Elite <3 *v* It's so nice to read that !
Yes everything's going alright Particularly because of the day we are lol.
Aouch, your allergies again :/ I hope you'll quickly recover !
Yep' I think I'm gonna read it tomorrow if I'm home or the next day anyway While I have spare time.
Oh ok I'll remember it ! So you're a Scorpio :3
Yes it must be great. But, I think I'd never buy an anime DVD, since I prefer watch them online, and at least it's original voices + subbed
Haha, Sapphire is the version where I got the furthest in contests too But I never beat them all, the last level was way too complicated. That's strange that DPPr conteste were worse, since they're supposed to have brought improvements to the RSE ones... But yes, they're definitely worse.
Btw, what do you think of "Leaf"'s former look? I mean, you must know that a protagonist girl was supposed to appear in RBY, but finally didn't, and Leaf is supposed to be that girl with a whole new look (as the protagonist Fire is to Red). I think she was very cute too If she had appeared at that moment, maybe she would have more importance now.
As far as I remembered, I read until the 11th chapter in that one
Yes don't worry anyway I was planning to read your newer chapter first
Things are going alright, except for this huge rash and hives over my body... allergic reaction to something, but I'm not sure what. It might be Burger King.
All right. My friend who proofreads my chapter has already started school, so I'll be spacing the chapters out... probably one month until the next one. So you have some time. Might want to get it done before you start school because you're bound to get hit with a lot of homework right from the start. I know I was.
No, it's not going to be until the last weekend of October. I'm just planning it out right now (saving money, checking bus routes, getting ready to book the hotel). In fact my birthday is exactly two months from today (Oct 28)
I've actually haven't bought any anime DVD's there. Surprisingly their selection of manga is much larger than anime. In the past I've bought manga volumes (including some hard to find ones!) and figurines. I might skip it this trip since I can go to a mall where I can buy both manga and anime DVDs for cheaper. It is kinda nice to have a store devoted just to anime though
Someone must've gotten lazy with the musicals *shrugs* Wouldn't surprise me at all. As for the contests, they were pretty good, better than the dumbed down ones in D/P. One time I think I beat them all in Sapphire, though after the family moved a couple times I have no idea where it (or Emerald, which was in the same storage case) ended up. Probably in one of our storage sheds, behind the Christmas decorations where nobody can get to them xD
Yeah, but I'd like something DS-sized. I think there is one game that's a "Pokemon Girls" dress up with hairstyles and clothes for all of the ladies, but I want an officially released one for a Nintendo system. Leaf's certainly pretty, but sadly her creaters have proved they don't give a crap about her:/
Yeah, even me Part of what made mine stand out was in fact Lisa. Here's this girl wearing a frilly dress that most other trainers wouldn't dream of wearing. She's already a college grad, has this freaky obsession with old cars and math, and prefers to stay at hotels. If anything else, Lisa's personality was the setup for a pretty interesting journey How far did you read into that one?
Okay, enjoy! But read my current story first, especially since I won't be posting the next chapter till you get a chance to post your thoughts on it.
No, I wouldn't torture myself with a long story. I wanted to write something that I could wrap up fairly quickly. And yeah, I like the fact that I can keep things focused on the main plot most of the time. Keeping things short and simple
It was okay, a decent selection of cars, though it was really hot and we didn't stay much more than an hour.
