I felt like doing that myself because of a cold I'm just now getting over xD

I hardly ever poison anyone outside of it activating due to Sludge Bomb. Sleep is definitely my preferred way of disabling stuff too so they can't attack me... only problem is I don't always train Pokemon that are capable of sleep since I actually don't use Grass as much as other types.

Woah, sorry for the delay man >.< Totally just spaced out for a few days there.

But yeah, I do enjoy putting opponents to sleep haha. I also enjoy poisoning them, but depending on the type of the opponent, sleep would probably be a more useful choice, ya know?

Go for it! At least you'll have plenty of options to disable your tougher opponents with sleep and paralysis

Thanks I'm feeling well enough to come on for a few minutes every so often, but I still have a pretty nasty headache :/ And my nose has been runny for three days straight. My medicine's making me drowsy as well, so needless to say, I've felt better

Yeah, and Koga, Blaine, and Lorelei are gonna be especially tough... Well, keep me updated on how your run goes

In other news, I've caught a cold, meaning I feel awful and the medicine is making my mind hazy :/

Thank you! :D I'm pretty nervous about it, cause there are only 5 grass types (4 of which are only partial grass types) in Kanto, so I think my team is only gonna have 5 members XD This will be interesting.....

Pretty much I use only "Ashley" or "Lisa" as my character names xD. And I haven't played the older games in awhile (they're either lost or the battery has gone dead and they don't save anymore), but I do remember naming my character in XD Gale of Darkness "Victor" because you only had the boy in it.

Okay, have fun and good luck on your run! I would think Grass only would provide a good challenge since they do have several big type weaknesses.

Haha my trainers only have a few names: Lilly, Sara, Dakota....that kinda stuff. But if I'm playing R/B/Y or G/S where you can only be the boy, my player character is Red/Gold and my rival is Blue/Silver.

OH! And remember how earlier I told you that I wanted to do a Solo run? I'm not doing it anymore; I'm gonna do a monotype challenge with Grass for Pokémon Blue

LOL I'm a pretty big car person (I still believe the Unova region was named in honor of the Chevrolet Nova xD) but calling my Pokemon names like "Delta 88" and "Crown Vic" just starting getting weird after awhile At least it wasn't bad as my previous attempt to name them after hotel chains lol Regular names are all I come up with, but I still at least like to give them those nicknames. I can't remember all my nicknames, but I know that the resident cat Pokemon on my team is always a female named "Ashley" or "Lisa." Even if my trainer has the same name

Haha I wouldn't be able to name Pokémon after cars. I only know like, two! But I also sometimes do human names, like I have regular names for Gijinka versions of my Black team. I don't remember what they all are at the moment, but I believe Simisear was Walter or something to that effect, and Samurott was Leighton. Oh yes, and Zweilous was SteveTrent.

I usually don't have legendaries on ym team (i.e., in White I deposited the dragon instead of using it against N).

I used the Red Gyarados as an HM slave in Soul Silver. Simply because I didn't want to saddle Starmie with three Water moves.

I nickname them, but usually just generic boy/girl names. Right now in Leaf Green I have Pokemon named Marvin, Ashley, and Cassie I'm no good with coming up with more complex names. I did try nicknaming them after cars in White, but I soon dropped that idea xD

I agree; for me, water types area must. If my starter isn't a water type, it's almost guaranteed that I'll raise a kickass Magikarp. (I.E. in SoulSilver my Gyarados appropriately named Killer). Besides that, I don't have any other types I need on my team. However, the game's mascot always becomes part of my team.

    As for HM slaves, I used one once, in Sapphire, but it ended up becoming a temporary part of my team and had awesome moves. {Three cheers for Derpykins the Linoone!}

Do you nickname your Pokémon? I usually do, but always choose a theme when I do. Like now, on my playthrough of Gold, I'm doing "overused Japanese names for Mary Sues/Marty Stues", such as Hikaru and Sora.

I know I had two Normal-types on my Soul Silver team (Persian and Pidgeot, the latter because I needed a Flyer; the others were Typhlosion, Starmie, Golem, and Ampharos) and one of my old White teams (Samurott, Zebstrika, Archeops, Renuclius, Liepard, and Krookodile, the latter two being both Dark). Otherwise, I do try to avoid having overlapping types... I just found making good teams was much harder in B/W.

As far as types on my team, I always have my water, electric, and ground types on me. As well as (usually) a cat-like Pokemon. I typically don't use HM slaves, either.

See my teams haven't really had extreme problems with WEAKNESSES, however there's very little they were Super Effective against, except for a few things here and there. Even then, I have a terrible tendency to use more than one Pokémon with the same type, like having Simisear and Reshiram on my final team in Black, and Totodile and Gyarados on my team in SoulSilver.
