Very very slowly progressing. We haven't even got into alpha. I have to resize and devamp every DP pokemon and giratina's 3 forms and shaymin and regigigas form. then we gotta learn how to regulate the new area + level up = evolution so we can have giratina "evolve" into his other forms and the same for shaymin and regigigas. Then we have to learn how to get all those monsters to fit in the pokedex and add the extrra 2 unowns to the unown dex. So yeah, very slow... Its not that we can't do it but we don't have much time to do it. And not all of us can work together or use highspeed internet.

Well technically every kid and teenager wants to do it but adults will tell you that you can't without money or a group. You have to know at least 1 or 2 programming languages and have your own server/site above that. Then you can use a mmorpg platform like eclipse (u can look up eclipse mmo engine on google) and when you are done connect it to your server. But using a platform will set limits where if you know a programming language (we're using c++ with the GDK[game development kit] and Dark Matter[resources and a help with creating online games] ) you can write your own platform and start your game development with that or write up the game as a program and upload to the server. AJAX or just Java is very popular for in-browser online games but with dark matter and the C++ GDK we're working around that. I'm not an expert at C++ though so its going to take a couple of months or until next year. Technically, because of all the false information and competition no one has a perfect or valid tutorial or something you can read up so the best thing to is look for a great 3d game engine/platform and construct the game. Then later you can look up away to make it an mmo.
Oh yeah, since we're using the GDK we get another option gba hacking doesn't give us- 3D GFX! Along with more realistic terrains (if we want) and much more scripting capabilities that will let us do virtually anything if we learn how to. You should start learning early so by the time you are 15, 16, or 17 you can finish your first mmo.
Seriously. Also, you really won't get much done without a group so always ask around!

Ooooh! You're turning in mmorpg? I've always wanted to do that with a GBC hack I'm working on. Are there any guides out on the web on how to start doing it?

None taken. We're using gbc because we want to make platinum retro and ordinary. All our hacks aren't being worked on so we can get it right. Sinnoh is supposed to be really big so the johto and kanto maps are being switched to sinnoh east and west. There's enough maps for dp stuff and a few extras that can be recreated to "compromise" for platinum only areas such as the regi caves. Besides, have you ever played pokemon prism? We're going to take it one step farther then they did. The game won't be finished for awhile since platinum (DS) hasn't been finished and is in gamma state from what I hear. There's really nothing we can't do other than not use 3d or special effect graphics or create the torn world. And we may get through some of those if we can learn hex better and get to all the raw game data. I stopped electrik yellow for this but that doesn't mean it won't be produced. We're turning electrik yellow into an mmorpg using php and ajax or c++. There's a lot of work and I'm not turning away from it even though school's slowing it down.

I have Crysmap. I just didn't find it at first. Anyway, no offense, but I think you should work on a different hack. No offense. You are still working on the Crystal Platinum, right? Well, I don't think it'll work out to well...I've tried it with Ruby and it didn't really work out too well....

Yo, I was looking through yomama's profile. Do you still need crysmap? I've got a copy but I'm just using the source code. I'll give it to you if you still need it.

Dude, the game is going to be placed in a crystal version. The gold is like an alpha channel for the scripts and events. There's only a few things in gold that haven't been edited including the trees and titlescreen. We've changed pretty much everything else with TLP. My german agixp doesn't work so there's no point in trying it anymore. We're going to see if everything works ok in gold and wait for yomama to finish the workshop and redo everything. I was just handed the job from reza with no backup so I'm trying to make a gsc graphic editor for sprites using C++. I'm also going to have the team forum backup although none of the members will be around for months since we're in highschool. All updates and progress will go there. But I just started.

So wait, you don't know how to edit the graphics of Gold?

Well, school started today and we haven't cleaned up all the screenshots so there's not much you can do but write conversation scripts for ncp but you won't be able to do that since we don't have all ncp speech in record. We're going to get all the graphics set first and I'll get back to you with the results.
AND, we have to all wait for either yomama to finish the crystal workshop or reza to finish the graphic editor he's been working on this whole summer.

I'm so going to kill Reza. Too many people pull of too many stupid tricks on me since its not time for school til tomorrow and I don't waste my intelligence thinking in the summer. Well if you think of it you can join us in the project if you finish yours. Reza is going to pay for that. Sorry for any misunderstandings man.

Before you try to make a gbc platinum read up on copyright. One ofr gba is already in production this is why RAM corp (aka my team/group) is doing a gbc style and a javascript in browser game. This meanns that it already under our name and is protected. If you also do iit you will not be abiding copyright laws! Reza just sent it to me. You will be stealing not only an idea but also something that's already being produced and several copies of this goes to our members every week or so. I told you this because I don't want anything to happen to a friend of mine but reza doesn't care. If you make a gbc remake it has to first not violate nintendo's worrk so no copying them and second you have to make ure the hack your making isn't illegal. Then make sure someone didn't take the idea first which we did months ago... If you make your own version than platinum stuff shouldn't be in your game because it would not abide the law. To get through this I'll tell you since you're a friend- just use different sprites or change up the graphics so it won't be ours or nintendo. Also add your own little stuff and change up the script. Our script will be the exact same thing as nintendo but since its for gbc we're not stealing crap! I support your project if you really do make your own platinum but be careful not to bash into us or nintendo or possibly the fbi or cia. It can and does happen.

For what- platinum? I'm too lazy to uploa them and nothing will upload for some reason anyhow so go to serebii forums they have jps. Iot the originals with pallett changes to fit dp but we're devamping copies. Serebii forum is good enough. If I get permission I'll show you the originals we have and the clean version of te sreen shots.
