July 27th, 2009 5:28 AMSerene GraceI didn't really understand that aswell. I mean, why introduce a 12 year old when they were losing. Also, it was only 1-0, they could have got the game to a draw or maybe even won.
I guess it made it worse that the kid got injured. It must be spectacular though, to play professional. -
July 27th, 2009 5:22 AMbobandbillHe did...
LA PAZ, Bolivia: The father of a 12-year-old boy who last week became the world's youngest professional footballer has been fired as coach of the Bolivian first division side.Might have to do with the fact that they didn't want him risking a 12 year old (he did get injured, and it's not exactly the best time to introduce a kid... =/), and also maybe they disliked the favouritism, choosing his 12 year old son over professional adults in a game where they had been losing...
Former World Cup star Julio Cesar Baldivieso has been forced out by bosses of his club Aurora for refusing to obey orders from club directors to leave the boy out of the squad.
Baldivieso also withdrew his son Mauricio, who turned 13 last Wednesday, from the club.
"For internal club reasons, we've decided to part company with coach [Julio Cesar] Baldivieso," Aurora president Jose Luis Montano said.
This followed the controversy that surrounded Mauricio's appearance as a substitute for the final 10 minutes of a 1-0 defeat against La Paz last Sunday. There is no minimum age limit in professional football in Bolivia.
"My dad told me that he'd start me if we won, things turned out differently but he brought me on," Mauricio said.
After playing in four crosses, Mauricio was stretchered off after receiving a knock to the back of his ankle before returning to the pitch, an incident that resulted in uproar.
Baldivieso slammed club bosses for failing to recognise his son's potential. -
July 27th, 2009 5:00 AMSerene GraceReally? He got sacked?
But the son looked okay when he played XD. Why get sacked? He didn't do anything against the law by playing him. -
July 27th, 2009 4:49 AMbobandbillOhh, advertising PC... but how much would they pay you for that? =P It's be nice (and VERY well paid), but I'm unsure about the fact that the coach of his team was his father. HMM favouritism much? Interestingly... he (the coach) just got sacked for playing his son. O_o I'll also add there there is no age-playing limit.

July 26th, 2009 3:50 AMSerene GraceI so wanna be a professional footballer XD. It would be soo awesome. Plus I'll be so cool and when I socre a goal, I'll lift up my shirt and then the shirt underneath will say "Hi Pokecommunity"
About that, I didn't know it was mini modding since I saw other members link to threads all the time. I'll just stick to reporting XD (Which I do do) Hahahahah. Do do. -
July 25th, 2009 5:35 PMbobandbillMiror B is pure win. =D And the highlight of Colosseum and XD as well. Maybe more so in XD (maye not music-wise - both of his themes win though) - there, when he first appears he moonwalks. And backflips before every battle. Which is impressive considering his afro.
Crazy youngsters. Back in my day we didn't go after professional football contracts - we just stayed home and played video games!
(Oh, and it be better to report stuff or just leave it be instead of pointing people to threads and all- that's us mod's jobs. Let us suffer instead. =P Just letting you know). -
July 24th, 2009 10:15 PMSerene GraceOh my God. 12 year old professionnal footballer.

July 24th, 2009 8:50 AMSerene GraceXD, Miror B.
I made a Google search on him, he has a cool afro. -
July 24th, 2009 7:45 AMbobandbillI unfortunately got that idea stuck in my head once... once it's there, the likeness is very easy to see. =/
And I'd bet, but tbh I haven't been following transfers enough to really form an opinion on more than a few teams. >_< (That and I don't necessarily think they won't win either =P). Besides, Miror B is the most awesome - so there. =P -

July 23rd, 2009 5:15 PMbobandbillIt'll be interesting to see how it affects them... I still think they will do well, but the title isn't that likely to be their's this year, IMO
