December 29th, 2017 9:30 PMbobandbillI just wish its hitboxes weren't so bad, haha. They're not that fun to fight compared to other monsters too imo.

December 29th, 2017 5:13 PMFairyPlesioth I can deal with. Like gimme a deviljho any day, but Yian Garuga can psyduck right off. And take Gypceros with it.

December 28th, 2017 4:39 AMbobandbillPlesioth is a problem for sure. :V

December 27th, 2017 9:15 PMFairyIndeed, if the game thinks you want the rare drop, you will never get it.

December 24th, 2017 5:33 AMbobandbillI didn't see anything in time. ;p
Urgh, I hated fighting Alatreon. And I heard more about the 'desire sensor' in regards to MH item farming, haha. -
December 24th, 2017 5:17 AMFairyLet's just pretend that I didn't butchery that VM lol
-
December 24th, 2017 5:15 AMFairyDamn story if my life when it comes to Alatreon. Thing ALWAYS died in the lava and I need just one Azure Dragon gem to max my Escadora set.. you know what they say about RNGesus. /shrug!
Knowing Capcom and Sony is bound to be an intellectual property bloodbath. Meanwhile I'll just sit here and wait for Double Cross to finally be translated Thank you very much lol.I needs to kill me a Valfalk like a fish needs water. -
December 24th, 2017 1:38 AMbobandbillI haven't looked into it at all since the initial trailers so I can't really comment on it, haha. I do like the idea of no load zones though. Always worried I'll lose carves because of a monster dying in one... Once I lost carves of a Brachydios in MH3U but it was because it fell out of the accessible part of the map rather than going into a load zone... @[email protected]
I think Capcom will have to sooner or later realise that hey, the Switch is doing really darn well they probably should try to capitalise on it with Monster Hunter. :V Heard it's not on Switch because of Sony demanding exclusivity/doing things in secret with the game rights which makes sense business wise but is also hella skeevy imo. Idk how true that is though. -
December 23rd, 2017 8:55 PMFairyfor the record tho, HMW is like heavenly compared to the handheld versions. I personally will always favor the handhelds because they sit more comfortable and recognizably in my hand, but I would be a liar if I said World didn't solve the problems of the prior generations. The smoothness, the last of confusing menus, no more load zones, and the (subtle) integration of Brave ? Aerial styles is pretty much incomparable to the older games.
It may be stubborn but my heart will always be for the Nintendo releases - even if i have a PS4 and play World. Though... rumor has it a handheld MH game produced by the same people who did generations will be launched on the Switch sooo fingers crossed! -
December 23rd, 2017 8:32 PMbobandbillAt first I thought aerial + IG wouldn't be worthwhile but dang is it fun. Pole vaulting all over the maps :V
Haha, impressive. I'm probably pretty rusty now. :V Wish we'll get a new MH on the Switch given the way Worlds went. =/ Not buying a PS4 for one game and I like portability with MH tbh. -
December 23rd, 2017 8:00 PMFairyYoooooo Longsword is my shiiiiit right now. It's one of the newer weapons i just picked up and with adept is such a killer combo. Like I feel invincible with it. Not to mention aerial Glaive gives me utter life.
S&S, HH, DB, Palico, SA, and Bow also round out my main arsenal - though the last two are more passion projects than anything. I'm legitimately *not good* them lol. Still, I gotta thank you quite a bit for encouraging me to keep playing! Nowadays I'm like, Hyper Deviljho? solo that in 7:50 mofos BITE ME lmao -
December 23rd, 2017 7:45 PMbobandbillI still go with Longsword and Insect Glaive as my main weapons.
I haven't played that many Mario games tbh - mainstream ones anyway. Played some of the Mario & Luigi and a lot of the Paper Mario titles which I quite enjoy. Of the main ones though hardly any! Do need to go back and play the super-cheap copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 I got on the Wii U though. -
December 23rd, 2017 7:15 PMFairyWell I'm not gonna lie I really put some effort into it after learning the intricacies of the game and have since resolved to master every weapon and beat all record times. I still favor the dual blades though!
I hope you keep enjoying Odyssey - it seems like it's really the first Mario game that is truly catering to the game breakers, the adventurers, and the speed runners. Glad to see Nintendo finally addressing a vocal, yet nearly invisible, part of their market. -
December 23rd, 2017 7:08 PMbobandbillJeez you've played more of MH Gen than me then. =p
Odyssey is pretty fun! Got a lot more to play of it but certainly an impressive and fun game. -
December 23rd, 2017 5:28 PMFairyAhh, I just got a switch myself but I can't tear away from Skyrim long enough to play anything else, so I completely understand!
I just wanted to humble brag a little bit since the last time we talked about MH I was dead scared of the a pathetic LR Seregios and now as of Generations I've got 900+ hours and a hunter rank of 412 to show for it. So I've basically become a master since we last chatted about it and I'm eager to flex my skills with other talented hunters! >:]
But enough about that! How've you been enjoying Odyssey? My fiancée is crazy about it but like I said before Skyrim is my life right now so I haven't played it. I've heard nothing but amazing things though!
