Eh eh you too :P But in Slovenia, do you have the same alphabet than us?
How the three "e" sound?
-
That's great! :)
The Slovene language uses just "e", but it's pronounced in three different ways :P
-
Actually it depends, sometime it's for pronounciation, for example we don't pronounce "e", "é" and "è" the same way. Or to differentiate two homophones when writing them, for example the world "ou" that means "or" and the word "où" that means "where" are pronounciated exactly the same way but written differently ^^
-
Yes, I figured it will pay off one day to speak a few languages, even if as much as to say "do you speak English?" in that language :P
What's the meaning of those accent marks on top of a, e, i, o, u in French letters, anyway? :P
-
Normal, I imagine that this kind of word isn't easy at all ^^
It's great, you speak many languages (even if you don't speak all of them fluently) !
-
Yup ^.^
Though I am still troubled by the pronounciation of some words, such as théâtre. :P
-
You're lucky not to have accent (or almost) :)
Oh, good to pronounce "Je suis perdu" correctly, because I guess that for a foreigner this sentence has a lot of unknown phonetic sounds x)
-
Well, my English is almost without an accent :D
And when my friend taught me some French I had no trouble saying "Je suis perdu" :)
-
No you're right french people have a terrible accent when they speak english :P Actually the pronounciation is pretty difficult for us, and vice versa for english-speaking !
My pronounciation is good... But only if you compare to other people in my english class x) but if an english-speaking hear me he immediately know that I'm french, I don't really have the english intonation !
What about you?
-
Hehe I hope you're not offended by this, but I have yet to meet a French person to speak English without accent :D
How's your pronunciation?
-
Ok I see :) So indeed they are pretty similar !
Exactly :P I was trying to find original nickname so I went on Google Translate and translated many words in many different languages. And I thought that "Zolty" sounded good, even if I guess I totally mispronounce it ! lol
Slavic languages don't have the same alphabet? Oo Wow that's complicated !
Yes I have to admit :) French and Spanish have many words that look alike (often in spanish tests when french student don't know a word they put the french word and add a "-a" or a "-o" at the end, just in case :P And sometimes they're right !). But even if it's easier for a french to learn spanish, I know a lot of people that better speak english !
-
Slovenian and Croatian are pretty different, but still have more resemblance than Italian and Spanish, for example.
Cool, you had a yellow Hypno :D
Polish is western-slavic and I can't understand anything when reading it XD
Would you say it's easier to learn Spanish if your mother language is français? :)
-
Of course :) But for a non-native it must be really difficult to learn ! The only slavic word I know is "zolty" (with special letters), the polish word for "yellow". I called my Hypno like that in Soul Silver :P
Wow, two slavic languages, it's good :) But I guess that when you speak Slovenian you can easily understand Croatian and vice-versa, don't you? Or both languages are very different?
Oh you know, I've totally lost my level in Spanish, and it's annoying, in Spanish class I have all the words I need that come up in English ><
-
I agree; Slavic languages are full of irregularities, though I obviously had no trouble speaking it since it is my mother language. I also speak Croatian :)
Woah, you have a lot more experience in Spanish than I do :D
-
Well I've been learning spanish for almost 4 years, since I'm 13 :) But last year and this year I've got bad teachers so I'm a little disappointed, I speak spanish less and less good :/
Yes, the three languages have nothing to do with each others ! :O I don't really know Slovenian (I've just heard that Slavic languages are very difficult lol), but I agree that Spanish is a beautiful language, more "melodious" than English for example ^^
