ahh ok. now worries... My events just aren't working at all. I ask the to do something, they go do another... Could I send you a copy of the game via email or something, so you can go through it and tell me what I'm doing wrong...?
Looking good,. If you need any help with scripts and such don't hesitate to ask, as long as I won't be scripting an entirely new system. XD
As for the online messaging system, I think it would be good ( and not too difficult ) to make it so you message eachother anywhere. Maybe even add trading in there, by using a key item.
Well, I've been doing a lot of remapping and such, I decided it would be best to start off with something that's already been helping the rest of the noobs. The STARTER KIT, but first of all I'm just getting the mapping and such down at the moment, once I have completed all the basic regions (JOHTO, KANTO and HOENN), I'm gonna let everyone have it.
That way they can have the basic storyline and all that from each colour/color (RBGY, RSE, GS) and all they'll have to do is edit a few events to make a new storyline or something.
After that I'm gonna be editing it to the World Adventures story and adding lots of extras:
A proper DAY/NIGHT system
A cool new intro screen (I've got the pics, the animation is 15% done)
More puzzles and challenges

I had the time frame system set-up as well but then I deleted it cos it wasn't efficient - made it crash numerous times. It was like an organiser for timed events (bug-cacthing competition just above goldenrod, NINTENDO promos - like the ones where you get special tickets, ETC).
Still working on the modes of transport though, I think I might just scrap the new ones (planes/car).
There was quite a lot of things that I wanted to add to the game but had to leave out of, due to the fact it would be exeptionally difficult, instead of having the game online, having an online messaging system and trade via pokecenters.
Also, instead of using a huge tileset like fangkings, I've split mine up into areas (EG grassroutes.bmp, rustboro.png), this make it so much easier to load each area while i'm testing the game.
I dunno if you remember the original story of world adventures (prequel: Mystic Fog - rubbish title), it was something to do with the rockets and an uber pokemon.
Well the revised story is a little like that, but it's much better than you think. Let's just say that old heroes will join forces and unlikely alliances will be made. The uber pokemon cannot be caught, but everything else follows it's usual path (EG catch mewtwo in the unknown dungeon, catch ho-oh and lugia in their usual places, fight the elite four).
I was hoping to write a new song for Pokemon, but I can't work out music for it.
There is going to be new music and such for it though, all thanks to the POA team, if they want to get involved.
I'm still using those extra little sprites you gave me (wooden beds, bridge across the railway, ETC). Don't you're credited in the ending animation and with blizzy and his team and of course everyone else who originally helped out.
But as you cann see there is a lot of stuff happening at the moment with P:WA. Just at the moment, I'm trying to make it exactly like RSE in every aspect, I've done everything up to rustboro.

Yep, still making games ( as if I'd ever stop =p ). I use C++ for my games now though. No specific project at the moment I'm just honing my skills . I'm glad World Adventures is still alive, any screenshots/info on it? If you need any help with scripting or something like that I'll see what I can do.
