December 27th, 2008 4:36 AMSkyPioneerSpoilers: You team up with Samus and Pikachu to fight Meta Ridley who was revived from your previous fight.
Enjoy your day.
lol -
December 27th, 2008 4:08 AMSkyPioneerYeah, that's why most people opt for the solo 'mote.
Oh well, I still recommend you try to get used to the nunchuck one day, it still is better than the solo mote.
Anyway, what are you up to in SE?
Goto super-smash-bros.wikia.com for some awesome techniques.
Otherwise, I'll talk to ya tommorow then. -
December 26th, 2008 11:10 PMSkyPioneerSo did I. Until some friends came over, and I had to use the nunchuk because I was such a nice host and let them use my GC controller. At first, I stuck to the solo-mote, then I decided to try it with the nunchuck.
I hated it.
But the next day, I decided to really test it and I went through the subspace emmisary with it. SE gave me a really good way to warm up to the controls, and at the Nintendo Connection tour (aka: Australian Brawl tournament) I used the nunchuck and got into round 2.
Well, beats losing. And the rules they where using where novelty, and not proper tourney rules :/ -
December 26th, 2008 10:03 PMSkyPioneerGrab by pressing the B trigger to shield and button 2 to grab whilst shielding. But if you haven't got your cube controller yet, get used to Wiimote and Nunchuck, it's much more ergonomic than the solo wiimote. After a while it'll feel like second skin. But the cube controller is still better.

December 26th, 2008 6:01 AMSkyPioneerSo, hows your new console?
-
December 24th, 2008 7:40 AMSkyPioneerWell, whenever you get SSBB, give me your friend code, and we'll have a match ;)
-
December 23rd, 2008 5:36 AMSkyPioneerAhh, don't worry about it too much. I mean, it's your console, right? Get whatever games you want :D
-
December 22nd, 2008 11:29 PMSkyPioneerWell, good luck with the cube controller anyway. So, you're getting it with your new Wii? A MUST HAVE game that I would very, VERY strongly reccommend is Disaster: Day of Crisis.

Read any review except Gamespots... GS has turned into the biggest Wii haters, I swear... -
December 22nd, 2008 11:14 PMSkyPioneerlol, be careful. That there's a third party controller, meaning it's not made by the big N. So, it might be... how do I say it... Dodgy. I've had real bad experiences with third party wares, I had a TPC for my 'cube, it worked for a month, and now the whenever I play with it it always seem to have the neutral stick position slanted to the left (ie, in melee my characters would always move left and never stop).
So it's your risk. -
December 19th, 2008 11:26 PMSkyPioneerIf you're gonna buy it off someone at school, you could get it at a much cheaper price than usual.
Tips for haggling:
1) Tell him to bring it to school before you decide on the price. Say you want a good look at the "quality".
2) Appear uninterested. The other guy probably thinks he can get more than he knows its worth, so if he has the price above $30 (GC controllers are about @$50) just tell him "naaah, don't worry about it then, I'll get it a better one of my neighbour/friend/relative" and he'd be tempted to lower the price. He's already brought it to school, he wants to get rid of it, and chances are has already planned what to do with that money.
3) Tell him that his price isn't worth it. If it's next to new, say your previously mentioned intimate has a brand spanking new one which he bought by accident (conjure a random story if he asks why or tell him it's none of his business).
4) Lastly, don't let him call your bluff! If he knows you're lying, then the balance of power will shift.
Get it under $25. -
December 19th, 2008 8:26 PMSkyPioneerUnlucky, mate.
The best you can do is try and find anothers store(good luck with that), get a relative to get one for you or just eBay it. -
December 19th, 2008 8:06 PMSkyPioneerWell, I know one of them is.
Looking at there websites store locator, they have shops in ACT, QLD, NSW, VIC and SA. So, they have stores every where except for NT. -
December 19th, 2008 5:32 PMSkyPioneerWell mate, I got my 'cube controller with my cube years ago.
But, all is not lost. There is an Australain store by the name of GameTraders.
I use these guys over EB because:
1) They have free membership discounts (becoming a member takes a matter of seconds)
2) Loyalty rewards
3) Very friendly staff
4) THEY SELL RETRO CONSOLES FJNJSAGKGJKSAUGJ
You can go there and get games and consoles dating back to the ol' NES. So yeah, you can get Cube controllers there.
Dunno if they're in Melbourne though (I think that's where you live, innit?). -
November 12th, 2008 3:27 AMSkyPioneerIt's not like an American would say such a thing. I've only ever seen Australians use it.
-
November 11th, 2008 11:44 PMSkyPioneerAwesome, an Australian.
I just realized when you mentioned the word "dodgy".
Only a Sydneysider would say that :D
