also gonna drop this here since you're a fellow anime OP lover and this is one of my fave OPs of all time <3; -
December 22nd, 2015 6:08 PMderozioHaha, it wasn't exactly a serious apology - I made that statement knowing full well how you'd react to it lmao :p I'm the same, you know ;)
He isn't what I'd call "edgy". And it doesn't just have my seal of approval - a lot of anime do, tbh. This one is a "Classified Must Watch" for anime fans who are remotely interested in good SoL/Drama. Hell, I'd go as far as to say that you should watch this anyway - even if you're not big on those genre.
I can't stress enough how good this anime is, man. Just can't. Can just hope you give it a shot soon so I can hear your thoughts on it. You already know I love reading your opinion on things - this being no exception. Except I'd love to read your thoughts on this more than probably any other series out there since it is so different from other series haha. XD
Just gonna drop this here. Hopefully this video will convince you to give it a shot soon.

December 20th, 2015 1:54 PMmachomuuFirst off, Dero, don't ever apologize to me for a wall of text. I'm certainly the last person that should be apologized to for that, and also you know I don't care. I loves me some text.
But I'd suspected that it was SNAFU, the name Oregairu did ring a bell. Demolition D covered the show (well, season 2) and I see it on Hulu every now and again. I'd be interested in watching it, even if MC-kan is edge-master slice. I mean, really, I'm willing to give him a chance. If an edgy character's well-written or even written in a very genre-savvy fashion, I'm gonna like 'em. And in general I'm a fan of when anime drop all pretenses and expectations and tackle real problems in a mature fashion. It seems like a lot of anime are scared to do this for one reason or another (well, I know the reasons, but they vary).
So yeah, I'd be willing to give it a look. Especially if it's got the Dero Seal of ApprovalTM. I haven't been watching much anime lately, though and- well, actually, I guess it doesn't matter how much I'm watching whenever, I don't really believe in backlogs so I basically just chalk up "getting to something" to be within the next few years. But who knows, I'm pretty spontaneous. I will check it out, though, no doubt. -
December 19th, 2015 11:13 AMderozioalso sorry about the wall of text macho o/

December 19th, 2015 11:12 AMderozioOh, and Oregairu is a short form. Like Danmachi, y'know. Its full name is this:
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.
Or My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU in english.
I love it so much I'm willing to actually buy the goddamn series (a first for me) from amazon.com. But then, it is region locked. I won't be able to play it in India. :/ Oh, well, it is still incredibly cheap ($30 last I looked for first season I guess) and I always have my trusty VLC to play it I guess). -
December 19th, 2015 11:09 AMderoziohaha, I mean, I'm still voting for Shokugeki too so technically I'm still not a traitor, yes? :p
It is a regular romantic comedy set in high school with generic characters.
Nah, I'm kidding.
It calls itself a "romantic comedy" but that couldn't be farther from the truth. The first season, at least. It is a comedy but it revolves around our MC who has this very, very negative view of everything around him and has been a loner for a good part of his life. And two other characters. One female character that's similar to the MC since she's got her own share of different problems and another that's there to serve as the "normal" girl. It is a very fun and interesting watch and the first season deals almost exclusively with our main characters helping other people out (Yorozuya, yo). Except that the way of dealing with things differ a lot - our MC being the twisted guy he is, comes up with solutions that work very efficiently but aren't exactly solutions that you'd consider "ideal" since people do get hurt in the process more often than not. And his internal monologues are a treat - they're very realistic and practical. Not the naive anime ******** most MCs spout.
And Season two. Oh boy. It kicks things into another gear. While season 1 was lovable comedy, season 2 kicks the animation quality up a notch and the story takes a dramatic route. While there are definitely those out there who would've preferred the story to remain on the "dark, monologue-filled twisted comedy", I definitely do prefer what they actually ended up doing in the second season - it almost entirely deals with the internal issues our characters have been facing for so long. Except that now they're finally gearing up to face their issues and not run from them. If season one was a "good anime", season two makes it either a "dramatic failure" or a "****ing masterpiece" depending on your opinion of the shift to "drama". I, for one, am definitely in the "****ing masterpiece" category. Definitely.
I mean, it still has comedy. It still has our MC talking in all those amazing monologues. But it just feels like a natural progression and a really, really good one at that.
Trust me, it probably doesn't sound appealing at all - high school romcom setting and whatnot. I mean, that's a dime a dozen these days. But it does everything so right that it is almost surprising. I mean, look at my hummingbird page:

Oregairu season 2 is my #2 favorite anime of all time (uhh sorry Gintama will always be #1 hehe). And my top 10 isn't made up of slouches. It has series like GiTS, Nodame, Monogatari Season Second, NANA, FMAB, Kaiji, Hajime no Ippo and all that good stuff. But this is just...I don't know man, I love this series SO much it isn't even funny. -
December 19th, 2015 10:47 AMmachomuuYou traitor, I trusted you ;_;
Oregairu, huh? What's it about? -
December 17th, 2015 1:03 PMderozioIf not for the fact that I'm letting people vote for more than one anime, I would've given Shokugeki a miss tbh. Oregairu S2 is THE top show for me this year. :p But yeah, I'm voting for Shokugeki too ofc so there's that haha

December 10th, 2015 6:10 PMderozioOh, and I haven't played the answer. I'll watch it on youtube, though. Answer doesn't exist in P3P, as far as I'm aware.

December 10th, 2015 6:09 PMderozioSmooth, bro, smooth. Look at you handling it like a pro. XD;
More like the opposite, actually. Me being your shadow sounds more likely. Since your posts are more informative and idk, fun to read. <3; And, well, I played as Broken-back kun. Since I'm a male, I usually go with male characters. And since I knew I'd be able to woo girls if I played as male, that gave me all the more reason to do so haha. I've started a female playthrough, though, and I hope to finish that someday! -
December 10th, 2015 5:47 PMmachomuuIt's because I don't want you to get cavities, Dero. Internet cavities are the worst kind.
And same to you. I'd not be surprised if I happened to be your shadow or something- which actually reminds me. You said you played P3P. Did you play as Bad Back-kun or Atlus Doesn't Notice Me-chan? And did you ever play The Answer? -
December 10th, 2015 4:19 PMderozioI think your posts are beautiful. Long, but beautiful. I read them all. :D
you never give me cookies, though -
December 10th, 2015 1:20 PMderozioIs it weird that I've thought of it more than once, too? XD;
Not the "more concise" part, though.
