January 13th, 2009 8:19 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™but thats why people use process of elimination, so you have some kind of formula (at least, as far as trial and error goes ) XD
-
January 13th, 2009 8:17 AMBanjora MarxvileHere's another thought. As trial and error is basically improvising, you can't replay what you do twice.
-
January 13th, 2009 8:16 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™lol the problem with trial and error is that you have to fail before you suceed, through process of elimination. reminds me of life a little :P failing before suceeding (thinking IN the box here :P)
-
January 13th, 2009 7:41 AMBanjora MarxvileTrial and Error is just... Well, with Maths, there are formulae. Using that, you can do it again and again without fail.
-
January 12th, 2009 1:57 PMNoBel_ToKYo ™i can see how it can be foolish, but i find it to be one of the most rational and realistsic ways around things. try something, fail, learn from it, and find your way AROUND it. i'm better at that kind of thing than maths ^__^ it's a kind of dilemma solving i fail to understand properly :P besides, IV's are more than juat taking shots in the dark (which trial and error can often be)
-
January 12th, 2009 11:52 AMBanjora MarxvileI prefer actually knowing what I'm doing. Trial and Error is a fool's way (no offence)
-
January 12th, 2009 11:45 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™while both are viable methods of problem solving i much prefer trial and error. ^_^
-
January 12th, 2009 11:41 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™lol, you sure have intellect ^__^ i personally prefer the genetics
-
January 12th, 2009 11:39 AMBanjora MarxvileWell, its either Maths (EV's) or genes and trial and error (IV's). I prefer Maths.
-
January 12th, 2009 11:38 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™i guess. my mathematical capability is not the greatest :P
-
January 12th, 2009 11:37 AMBanjora MarxvileDepends on who you are I suppose.
-
January 12th, 2009 11:35 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™theres more preparation put into EV's than IV's. it's also harder to understand what EV's are, and fidn out how many you need to beat. i still manage though, i have a million sucessfully EV trained pokés (not literally) of course. SO-CAH-TOA!
-
January 12th, 2009 11:34 AMBanjora MarxvileEV's are easy. Work out how much pokemon you need to fight, keep a tally and your all right.
IV's are harder, as they are... Well mostly random. -
January 12th, 2009 11:32 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™lol tbh i find EV's a lot harder...soem people count to 508, or 510 on their spreads and you never know which one..XD
-
January 12th, 2009 11:31 AMNoBel_ToKYo ™i did say i could be wrong :P still,i think Aurafire's got it right..i kow for a fact about the nature stuff, and i tested the breeding for genders thing..so there you go ^__^
