July 15th, 2010 5:51 AMResultz:/ well i found the tiles, and am now editing them. Ill post them in a few minutes..

July 15th, 2010 1:32 AMBanjora MarxvileNeti's ROM Base is for Firered, so it may not fit too well. However, as for tinkering with the PC and Mart, they are still the standard Ruby tiles, so should be easy to find on the internet. As for the trees, I'll be searching for them now.

July 14th, 2010 1:24 PMResultzI believe Neti's? (icr the owner) rombase has one Illl have a look for some now.
-
July 14th, 2010 1:20 PMResultzerm i'll have a look what the Firered trees look like,
and for the PC/Mart, i could have a play around and edit the current ones if you send me a link to the tiles? I have no idea how to insert tiles though. -
July 14th, 2010 11:51 AMBanjora MarxvileRight, I have managed so far the frozen lake (as well as ability to add water holes in a frozen lake), as well as a building with snow on. But, no PC or Mart with icicles (unless you find one, or can make one. I like people to help sometimes). Pine Tree... I can probably manage if I find one, which would be easy (especially as the tree in Firered looks kinda like a pine tree... Would that be fine?)

July 14th, 2010 11:44 AMResultzI haven't but i will when i map next..
Any idea when an update will be?
EDIT: oooh thats nice! I'd like to see some more of that :D, especially a unique pokecentre/Mart/House(s) with icicles on their rooves :D oooo and frozen lakes! and Pine Trees! -
July 14th, 2010 10:51 AMBanjora MarxvileOh, and have you looked at Tileset 37 of my ROM base? Next update I do of it will expand that for sure.

July 14th, 2010 8:39 AMResultzThanks :D

July 14th, 2010 3:52 AMBanjora MarxvileOh, them buildings you used from my ROM Base (the Mossdeep city ones), nice use of them in that map you made. Never thought of using them like that as well!

July 4th, 2010 9:39 AMBanjora MarxvileWell, as it is a mountain top thing, it's transition is meant to look... Obvious, now I think about it. One of the joys of making ROM Bases is... Well, there are 2 main ones:
1. It allows me to think about how tiles work, and what go well as practice.
2. It also allows me to help others
This leads me to the "Base" part, remember you can build whatever you want from these ROM bases, so if you are unhappy about things that I find OK, you can improve it. They aren't there to be untouched, but improved for private use. -
July 4th, 2010 9:33 AMResultzThatd be great thanks, and yeah.
Maybe like some grass hanging over the top of the mountains or something?
But yeah I'm going to start mapping my hack in a month or two, so an update by thenwould be greatly appreciated thanks :D -
July 4th, 2010 8:52 AMBanjora MarxvileAh, OK. So, you think a better top tile? Well, I can't really say that it won't be done - the current mountain tile is the default Ruby one, so I may improve it (personally, I think it is fine, but whatever).
As for updates, I may release one in the future. Maybe, maybe not. However, if you want, I can send you an update (personally) once I fix a few things. -
July 4th, 2010 7:01 AMResultzwell if you think of a mountain as a square, the bottom being the side which faces you, the sides of the square being the vertical faces and the top being the face we dont see all off(the one that points away from us). I mean that top face.
Anyway, i dont suppose you could inform me when you release an update could you? i'd be eagar to see it! :D -
July 4th, 2010 1:46 AMBanjora MarxvileNo, you misunderstood.. I'm too used to working with tiles... Let me explain.
Puddle tiles are made by 2 layers, the first layer being the water, the 2nd being the border where it meets the grass. I could use something similar (in fact, the same border except replace the water bit with the rocky floor). Anyway, I've done a Mountain transition thing, so that is sorted for next time.
... Eh? I'm being a bit slow today on that front... The face we do see, which looks like a... Oh, wait, I may have an inkling... I think if you showed me with tiles from in game in a mock up version, it may make me more certain of what you mean... -
July 4th, 2010 1:35 AMResultzwait.. a puddle for a transition between mountain and grass? o.0
as for the top of the mountain, i mean the face that we dot see, which looks like a small ledge. ie. /''''''''\
