April 17th, 2009 2:21 PMdream's-epilogueHi! Havin' a good one?
-
April 16th, 2009 6:12 PMdream's-epilogueWhen it says team battle at the top, click on the pkmn trainer picture at the bottom until it turns blue
If it say brawl, click it. If it changes to team battle, that's good. If not, someone else has to. -
April 16th, 2009 6:10 PMAmaruukWait, how do I do that?
-
April 16th, 2009 6:09 PMdream's-epilogueBe blue team, ok?
-
April 16th, 2009 6:04 PMAmaruukThat sounds much better :3

April 16th, 2009 6:00 PMdream's-epilogueOkay, here's the deal.
We're going to watch you battle increasing levels of AI opponents. Most important right now is shielding; learn to predict when the foe will attack, and be ready to shield. It lasts only for a couple of secs, so try to just use it right before getting hit, then counterattacking afterwards.
Okay? -
April 16th, 2009 5:50 PMAmaruukUm, y'know, I'm not actually learning anything.
-
April 16th, 2009 5:17 PMdream's-epilogueI made a thread in Other Chat specifically for our training purposes, we'll psot all our training-related stuff there from now on, okay? (provided it doesn't get closed...)

April 16th, 2009 5:04 PMdream's-epilogueOkay. Squirtle's side special is useful because you're invincible, but it's weak and easy to suicide with. His down smash has good reach.
Ivysaur's neutral special is a good way to damage foes above you. His up smash is one of the strongest in the game. Razorleaf isn't too powerful. Make sure you're facing the ledge before using Vine Whip.
Charizard's Flamethrower is good for harassment and edge-guarding, but don't overuse it. Fly is pretty much worthless for offense, except for very rare occasions. Rock Smash is a very strong move; time it t hit when the foe is touching the rock for big damage. You can glide by holding the jump button.
More soon. -
April 16th, 2009 5:00 PMAmaruukI'm sure you did, lol.
I'm not exactly learning anything if you guys are playing that hard, though I'm sure it's not 'playing hard' to you :P

April 16th, 2009 4:58 PMdream's-epilogueNOOO!!!
I had like half a page of advice, but I clikced the wrong thing and it vanished!!
Grrr! Hold on... -
April 16th, 2009 4:39 PMAmaruukWorks for me!
-
April 16th, 2009 4:36 PMdream's-epilogueOkay, you've been added.
The only other way we could effectively communicate is via in-game comments, and seeing as how it takes 2-3 min to type in 25 letters, that doesn't seem plausible.
PM's back and forth after games seems like our best bet, since we're both right next to our Wii's/laptops. We'll play a game or two, and when I drop out of the room, check here. I'll send you a message then.
Whoops, forgot to give you my friend code. It's 3394-5583-5089.
At first, I'll have you fight against a level 1 AI with me on it's team, but I won't be fighting. I just want to see how you fight. -
April 16th, 2009 4:31 PMAmaruukMy FC is 1075-6935-4083
My laptop is sitting right next to my gamer chair, which I'm sitting in. It's like two feet from the Wii. I just think that there must be some faster way to talk since I'm a super-noob and will be doing a lot of things wrong.
