Cool! I'll post the first one when it's ready. One more thing on it, though. Since it isn't story-based at all (it's more of an arcade-type game), I really don't think there's 15 sentences worth of story to write about it, as per the rules. The 'story' I did write for it in the game info part of the game itself is only 5 sentences, and 4 of them are more like instructions than a story. What should I do?
I would love it if you were to post these projects of yours, as I love seeing non-Pokemon projects posted in the forum. I don't know whether you'll get as much feedback as on general game development forums, but I'm sure some of our members would enjoy seeing them.
You're the Game Dev mod, yeah? I've got a question.
I'm developing non-Pokemon, non-RPG games in Game Maker. One is kind of nearing completion, but isn't story-driven or anything. It plays similarly to Pac-man, but stars Goku from DBZ and has unique places for each level and some other extra features as I come up with them, like passcodes for level select and guest characters. It's essentially meant to be an arcade-style 'see if you can beat your best score' thing.
The other is story driven, but it's to be an original platformer that plays sort of like Metroid or Castlevania. It's only in the idea stage, though, as I'm still working on the first one.
My question is, do you think these games would fit in here? Or should I seek feedback from elsewhere?
