Intriguing o_O I've been wanting to make the msgboxes and menus come out on a slighty transparent box, similar to a hack I saw at some point. Although the effect was different...instead of transparency, it was more of a darkening effect.
In either case, it seems like you found the routine that draws stuff on the top layer :D Congrats!
Awesome! I thought a table would be a fairly simple idea, otherwise you'd need lots of checks and subtractions and whatnot. Good idea about the encoder! I was thinking about making an Excel Spreadsheet to assist me, but I'm not good with Excel anyway. I only wish I could help...But thanks a ton!
Hey, i'm here to say that i'm still working on that routine, and the reason that its taking long is that i used a table to convert the letters, not the subtraction method, because its easier to me to do it this way, and i'm having little testing issues.
But wait, i'm still not done: I'm working on a encoder routine, so that you will not have to waste your time creating a pokemon event manually. I'll do it so that you can input the values on variables and the game (runtime) will give you the letters needed to create a pokemon ;)
Of course this routine will only stay with both of us, because if it was released to anybody, that person would automatically know how to generate pokemon events.
