May 1st, 2011 4:04 PMcolcolstylesHOT DOG!
...what's the outcome? :( -
May 1st, 2011 3:35 PMmarcc5mI'll give you 40% of the outcome.
-
May 1st, 2011 3:24 PMcolcolstylesAs long as there's compensation involved. :D

May 1st, 2011 12:12 PMmarcc5mworking on other people's projects is soooo much more fun than working on your own.You can make mine for me then :D
-
April 30th, 2011 1:45 PMmarcc5mIt's the same for me, but with mapping. I spend about a thousand times re-mapping and inserting new tiles, and don't end up getting any scripting done.

April 30th, 2011 12:53 PMcolcolstylesI can't remember the last time I used a tilemap editor. It's been more than a year, I'm sure. That's the thing: once you get hooked on ASM hacking, every other aspect of hacking pales in comparison. I can't motivate myself to script anymore because I'd rather be tweaking the follow me script or whatever project I'm preoccupied with. I think that's the reason why Oro Sole never got off the ground.

April 30th, 2011 12:38 PMmarcc5mWotz a brein ?
Seriously though, I've honestly never really looked into graphics much. Heck, I can barely put a tilemap together without my ROM glitching up xD -
April 30th, 2011 12:28 PMcolcolstylesWell, they're not that advanced. If you have a brain, you should be able to manage. That's probably why most people in ROM Hacking haven't been able to utilize them yet. :P

April 30th, 2011 3:42 AMmarcc5mAdvanced graphical effects...advanced graphical events...sounds a little out of my skill level atm, maybe I'll try it around September/November :P
Yup, that's what I thought. -
April 29th, 2011 5:56 PMcolcolstylesI suppose. But if you're smart enough to figure out how to utilize advanced graphical effects, something tells me you'll be able to find a workaround. :)
Yeah, that's the idea. Kinda like this. I'm sure it's possible but... meh. -
April 29th, 2011 2:20 PMmarcc5mYeah, but in some cases the palette limitations get in the way of shadows.
You mean like having the light glowing from the lampposts, but still have the background around it?
Thanks :) -
April 29th, 2011 2:05 PMcolcolstylesIt could. However, I'd have to go without the textbox. And if it's just an isolated incident, I might as well just sprite the tiles as if they're transparent.
I was thinking about maybe doing something with lampposts but alas, I'm lazy. :P
ALSO: Congrats on the supportermanship! :) -
April 29th, 2011 5:07 AMmarcc5mIt could be used for shadows, or glass objects, to give it a more realistic feel. That'd actually be pretty cool :O
