August 13th, 2010 11:15 PMcolcolstylesHm, I might just try that. But it's midnight here and I'm going to hit the hay pretty soon so I think I might try it tomorrow. Thanks for the advise, though!

August 13th, 2010 11:13 PM~Teh Panda~Well it is now, just involves a bit more effort then what I hope to make of it. First of all if your phone is not jailbroken I would advise to do so.
http://www.jailbreakme.com/
Go to that site on your iPhone and just slide the bar and waa la your Phone is JBed. After this you will have Cydia on your springboard which will have an app named GPSPhone in it/just search it after everything loads and such. I think this app costs money but I could show you a free way to get it over MSN if you choose so. Anyways after obtaining this you will need to SSH from your computer to your phone creating a wireless tunnel where you can transfer the rom to your device.
On your iPhone install OpenSSH from Cydia. Once you have the GBA emulator and OpenSSh you must now obtain a GBA bios and patch the rom you want to put on your phone then follow these steps.
Download WinSCP and start a new shell using this info, find your Wifi IP by clicking the network you are in and copy down the IP it gives.
(For WinSCP "Hostname = Device's Wifi IP", "UserName = Root", "Password = Alpine")
Once in go to this folder,
/var/mobile/Media/Roms/GBA
In here place the bios and GBA rom and you are ready to go.
Once I release my app you can basically skip many of these steps :) -
August 13th, 2010 11:02 PMcolcolstylesSounds interesting. I don't know much about the whole "jailbreaking" phenomenon but I do know that it'd be nice to be able to play hacks on my iPhone. Would that be possible?
-
August 13th, 2010 10:56 PM~Teh Panda~Yeah, well you have guts for even getting in to that haha. I have only basic knowledge with actual assembly... But I have been invisibly working on some hack stuff you could say. I am trying to make an IPS patcher for the iPhone/iPod Touch for jailbroken pod's using the source for the original IPS.exe. It actually will be semi practical since I aim on making a repo (file repository) to download ips's since the ipod hacking community doesn't know much on pokemon hacking. lol.

August 13th, 2010 9:16 PMcolcolstylesYeah, it has been a while. I don't see you around Emulation much these days. Well, at least not until a couple days ago.
Heh, I guess you could say that. It's just something that I do these days in my spare time for fun. I'm still nowhere near as good as some of the other guys. -
August 13th, 2010 9:06 PM~Teh Panda~Colcol, wassup? I haven't seen you in forever but I guess your pretty good at assembly now! Well just wanted to say hola haha

January 2nd, 2010 11:52 PM~Teh Panda~Maybe, but football season traditionally for all the US is fall. Anywho maybe he made it to CIF or something. I myself dont play football but am a fan.
Off to bed... -
January 2nd, 2010 7:37 PMcolcolstylesAmerican football. I wouldn't know since I don't play for my school's team. Maybe it's different for non-Californians.
-
January 2nd, 2010 7:36 PM~Teh Panda~Football as in soccer? Or American football? Since I thought American Football ended a while ago for high school. And yeah its break! Come on jakey :3
-
January 2nd, 2010 7:08 PMcolcolstylesSame here. I think he's just really swamped with school and football. Though I thought that he'd have more time over the break but I guess not. :(
