    Good.
    I'm thinking of slowly changing the climate as the player ascends more and more until the map is completely covered in snow in the upper-left corner. Thing is, it's really hard to keep making the mountain shape fresh and creative on a map of this scale :\

    It's only because you aren't used to it.

    Yeah but the normal FR/LG mountain looks OK when it transitions directly into grass but for some reason this tile just seemed to abrupt. So I decided I would finally give the "grass-top" method a shot and I think it turned out OK.

    I never used much effort in those, and that mountain tile is no exception.
    I just used the filler option in MS Paint ;o;
    I'll show you once I can find it.

    Yeah, yeah. I read your posts in the ROM Hacking Discussion thread.
    By the way, making those "grass-topped" mountains is actually quite an ordeal. I had to have four different sets of mountain tiles just to have that nice grassy feel (and that's not counting all the snow mountain tiles). There are a large number of combinations for what goes on the bottom layer of the tile and what type of mountain is on the top layer (normal, grass, snow, etc.)
    ALSO, I watched the video on your profile so now I finally understand Manipulation's avatar.

    I wouldn't mind that much, but I never really liked new tiles in a map unless they were really good and the other ones were inferior in every way.
    Nothing beats good old natural tiles, except for those ass R/S/E trees. ;o;

    Sweet! I always wanted a brother...
    I'm a little hesitant to switch these new tiles with the standard FR tiles because I think it'll be changing the "classic" look that I've been aiming for. Would you mind if I did use them though?

    Don't be surprised, but I think you may be the long lost brother separated from birth that I never had.

    You don't, by any chance, mean the mountain tile like in this map? That would be pretty weird because I just noticed how awesome that same tile was a couple days ago, so awesome in fact that I decided to edit them to match the main rock palette and then use them in the large-mountain-range map I've always been talking about (that map is a very rough draft of it, by the way (the large, 2x2 rock was ripped from Soul Silver, in case you were wondering)).

    Yes you did, no one is safe from the game. D:<

    Could the grass animation be used for a flower tile or does the animation only work when you step on it?
    By the way, tileset 19 in Emerald takes the cake for best mountains. It is rigid, how mountains should be.(I'm talking about the gray mountains in the cave)

    No I didn't.
    Well I can't just name it off the top of my head. I'd have to take the time to carefully consider the benefits of each one. Though if you must have an answer, tileset 7 in R/S/E is nice because it has its own grass animation which could be put to good use.
